10/15 was a bloodbath across Comcast. Some Sr leaders, mostly staff. Severance packages for frontline are embarrassingly bad.

Show yourself some respect and match their effort—which is basically zero. Some will say, “But I have a strong work ethic.” That’s admirable, but let’s be real: they don’t care about you.

Would a company that cares:

Slash mental health coverage during a mental health crisis?

Lie to its employees about the future?

Protect executive perks while laying off the people who actually do the work?

Call itself a “proud American company” while offshoring thousands of jobs to India?

No? Then stop pretending they deserve your loyalty. I’m on minimum viable effort until this so-called “leadership” is gone. They’ve earned nothing more.

How does this SLT look itself in the mirror? Long time, bleeding red Xerox people let go today while all the C level execs grab a raise and pad their exit plan. Congrats to Steve, Pastor, Mirlanda etc for running an icon into the ground. Re-invention is horsesh*t. Xerox is dead.

• Silent and regular layoffs! Fired and rehired new employees for less for the holidays.
• Took a peculiar dump on the principle of Customer Obsession.
• Mandated RTO with apparently no planning.
• Pushed gross profit to AI data centers.
• Violated rights of disabled workers.
• Dismissed Microsoft and Google AI as ‘hype cycle’
• Forced people to uproot their lives, relocate.
• Gave $8B treat to Anthropic.
• Took cumulative compensation of $500 million.

Investors will be getting on the bandwagon and announce similar outcomes for Pep! Nice knowing you all.

The mentioned they wanted to be done woth everything as soon as possible (end of fiscal year?). We are approaching the end of October and it seems nothing has happened. Does anybody know if anything has happened? Within my group it seems like the news has been forgotten.

Managers? Directors? Sr. Directors? VPs?

Anyone has an update on what's going on regarding the rumored Q4 "clean up" - rumors r flying

Anyone knows if there will be cuts in Q4 and also what's happening with the contractors, are they getting extended and what about 2026?

What's happening in the rest of 2025? How about Q4? Any cuts planned?

This is the third time this week I got a bounce back email from someone who is no longer with the company is this the beginning of the end!? Tmc is brutal and moral is bad under her being president are people just quitting or getting let go? I already have been talking to friends who work at NB and Converse and the news about PNA is bad with wholesale accounts.

Emails about divisions layoffs started going out today. Unsure how many are affected.

Rumor has it they are considering temporarily pausing the 9/80 program after 2025 due to staffing concerns post layoff. Only because we may be short handed until they get work group staffing figured out.

It would only be temporary - it’s a good program.

Xylem, Inc., a major American water technology provider with operations in Wisconsin, has announced it will be laying off dozens of employees at its Waukesha facility.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Xylem will permanently reduce its workforce at the facility located at N19W23993 Ridgeview Parkway, Suite 200.

I have great empathy for victims being let go. Ageism is alive and well. No one will claim to have lost a good job though. You lost a job with high stress, little chance of success, zero training, impossible deadlines, plenty of unhappiness all around. A management team who hates their own jobs and all their subordinates. A kiss a-s culture wrapped in total incompetency.

So true, @gy+1k7g0fqf8. I was let go today, and strangely, I feel relieved. Even with the uncertainty ahead and the sting of being discarded after ten years as if I’m worthless, the overwhelming feeling is one of finally being free of this place.

Obviously there is a target.

It’s always the experienced, skilled, and competent people who are shown the door first. Being older only makes it worse. It just proves that no company truly values expertise, hard work, or dedication. If they think they can run things with cheap labor and inexperienced replacements, let them try. We’ll see how far that gets them.

I’m truly sorry for everyone who was laid off, it’s heartbreaking to see. But I can’t shake the feeling this may not be the end of it. I think it’s wise to stay alert and keep an eye out for other opportunities, just in case.

I hope everyone being laid off will land on their feet soon. And I truly hope this will be the last round of layoffs for a long time, because these cuts hurt not only employees but also our patients.

KPMG has cut 195 people from its US audit business to counter low employee turnover rates and changes in how it conducts its core business.

Employees learned earlier this week of the layoffs that hit just over 2% of KPMG’s US audit workforce, according to a person familiar with the company’s operations.

I had a frank talk with my manager this morning, who is a long-time friend.

Asked if I wanted a "retirement" package, as layoffs will continue until there's profit. My manager may get the cut, but will try to get me on the cut list if I want a package. VPs are dropping hints to management that this might be the last opportunity to get nominated for a package before it goes to HR formulas.

Also mentioned that there's not much future for the younger ones here at the moment, as they're offshoring much to lower-cost geos. Thus, if anyone gets a good offer, don't wait; just seize the opportunity and move on. I can't see light at the end of the tunnel for the near future.

Asked about the $5B Nvidia deal. Basically, I think it's a forced donation, and there is no clear direction on how to execute it yet—too many meetings without a runway. Our dev team is gearing up for this, but $5B won't get very far. If funds run dry, this may get moved to a lower-cost geo or ZBB.

Also, they said that there will be light at the end of the tunnel, but not in the near future, and I'm not sure how many of us will fall off the wagon as we travel along. Thus, the personal anxiety and stress may not be worth it.

Was today October 15th really that bad? Yes, it is sad people have lost their roles (unless they wanted to of course) but I have only heard of a handful of names. From previous posts you thought there would be 1000+ Anyone know total number of colleagues who left us today?

Acknowledge if impacted this cycle. There are numbers out as large as 7000 LRed this cycle as notified on Aug 13, 2025 but there is no formal place to sum it up. Are WARN notices available and what age group employees with locations impacted…. This is a whole mix soup, everyone served different.

The call center has laid off a significant portion of its American call center representatives and plans to retain its foreign representatives. This is devastating, and I didn't see it coming at all.

1. Lay off the people who do a task.
2. Don’t assign anyone else to the task.
3. Be surprised when the task doesn’t get done.
4. Profit?

Ok, so the email confirming 80 layoffs came out today. Why wasn't Walgreens on the WARN list? I check it daily to try and guess when I'm going to get canned. I guess it will be a total surprise. How fun!

If any of you were around in 2015 (I think?) for the layoffs/merch transformation— what was it like? Was it devastating and terrible? Did morale plummet? I’m trying to brace myself for what’s to potentially come, and not just the mass layoff itself but the entire gravity of the situation. I’ve been at Target since 2018 but I’m still young, not married, don’t own a house, etc. If I lose my job I don’t know what the he-l I’m going to do or how I’ll achieve any of the goals I hoped I would in the next few years. I’m so scared.

Layoffs hit NBC News Wednesday, with the network news division facing cuts ahead of Comcast’s spinoff of Versant. About 150 jobs were eliminated, representing about 2 percent of the workforce of the NBC News Group.
