Can I take another job if I’m in my non working notice period before lay off?

You ARE WF employee until the very last day of the non-working notice. If you take another job during that time, you will forfeit your severance payout.
If you do, and they find out, any severance you were offered will be rescinded.
you can take a job but then you are basically quitting and get no severance. if you have a job offer negotiate your start date to after your notice period ends.
