After our team was hit in January, everything landed on the rest of us. Same deadlines, same expectations, but with half the people. I'm exhausted and every week it gets harder to keep up. When I say something to my manager, I get told to prioritize. Prioritize what? Everything is urgent.

I can think of three rounds that consisted of more than just a few people. Am I missing anything?

For anyone that thinks you aren’t replaceable, ponder this:

How many employees does UHC/Optum ‘really’ need to run business for jobs that can’t be automated or OGS to complete? C&S (Community & State) and a few E&I (only if US employees are required per their contract).

Whatever your answer is, cut that in # in 1/2. Once cuts are complete in Q1 2027, remaining US FTEs will be doing the work of 2-3 employees. Think not? It’s already happening.

A few questions:
How many layoffs have occurred in 2 years? How many teams disappeared?
What happened to their work?
Which depts absorbed it or was it considered irrelevant?
How many GL30+ have left in 2 years?

Any insight on which depts/teams on the upcoming lists? There are 4 more layoff dates - along with individual layoffs thru Q4 2026.

Western Wyoming Community College announced nine additional position eliminations. Five of these positions are currently filled. The college identified an increased budget shortfall. The new estimated shortfall is approximately $5 million. This figure increased from an earlier $1.5 million estimate.

These cuts affect central office and school-based staff.

Ramboll initiated a new round of job cuts. Eighty employees from its Energy Division are affected. The global consulting firm cited project delays and cancellations. These issues impacted the company in recent years. The Energy Division previously had over 2,100 staff.

That’s the rumor swirling. Allegedly Wednesday. Does anyone know who exactly will be affected? I remember an article from February saying that 15% of the staff will be cut in the spring so I’m guessing that’s now.

Our work in federal has decreased so significantly we are getting extremely nervous.. has anyone heard anything about possible layoffs over here?

Alpek Polyester USA will cease production indefinitely at its Pennsylvania facility. This action will result in 100 employee layoffs. The facility is located in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County. Production will stop in March, with layoffs occurring on March 15. The company manufactures recycled polyethylene terephthalate products there.
