Relocation

I work in a part of FI that is now a part of Fidelity Wealth (yet we’ve been given no direction or concrete info). Anyone heard of upcoming relocation pushes away from Smithfield? The 900 building/traffic/parking garage is a complete disaster and no one cares. Wondering if they’re looking to reduce headcount there.

does anyone know what department is being cut?

I'm in fraud analytics and a bunch of my coworkers got pulled in for a surprise meeting today, one I was not part of and I'm extremely anxious and on edge. Has anyone heard anything yet? There's nothing out here that will pay me the same as I make and I really cannot afford to lose this job.

waiting for the axe

soooo what is happening in other districts with DEG technicians and I and R techs!??? we have one job per day if we are lucky, DEG techs are same very slow just taking down old equipment!
Don't get me started on useless air pressure ho-s, all they do all day is sit around in different COs waiting for lunch to see where the specials are!
Lots of us waiting for payout but is anything happening in district 3,9,6?

RIP FE/RDXT it was fun.

I'm the lead in this area and for the past month, we have had people visit in the hopes of getting repair work. The LTF is empty and we have no work. It was discovered that the repair work is being set up in a different area. My mother in-law got hire for this department. And she was told she was being assigned to a newly set up repair department. This week I talked to a parent of an employee in my area. And he said that the repairs are going to be done in an area near field camp. And that there is talk of dissolving FE/RDXT.

Layoffs March/ April- end of Q1

Yes there will be another round end of Q1. First round was timed perfectly before the end of the year. That being said, to balance the sheets, more cuts had to occur at the beginning of the year for faster turnaround times for revenue increasing strategies in place.

It is happening and will continue to trend the same patterns as the Q4 layoffs.

Lots of questions as to if it will be geo based like the first rounds were or if it will be more results based strategies for the target. The answer is both are being considered.

Agent companies have already been scouted for these locations. Some divestures will be March and then the rest in April.

One thing I did hear is if your location has black tile sales floors, that is is ideal for agent companies to transition (don’t ask why, I didn’t hear but it’s strategic placement)

RIF’s/Layoffs starting today

“HAPPY” New Year… or not, we will see. With the holidays wrapping up, it seems inevitable that all of the layoffs and reductions will start ramping up now seeing that all of the decision makers are back at work after the holiday.

Any ideas what depts will be impacted first? All we know if from the info shared on the all employee call is that Freier’s group (consumer) is “up first…”

I wish the best outcome for everyone during this poor-feeling time of uncertainty.

How long until the dust settles?

If ever. I’m not looking forward to my severely crippled team scrambling to cover the roles that are now gone, along with all the overtime and stress that will come with it. Our manager is likely to put even less effort into organizing the workload in a way that actually considers our limited time, how our skills are distributed, and the real weight of the tasks.

The Biggest Casualties of Trump’s Year of Government Cuts—and What to Expect in 2026

Some parts of the government have been hit harder by mass firings and buyouts than others. The Partnership for Public Service found that just three agencies account for more than half of the total staff reductions in 2025: the Defense Department, which has lost more than 60,000 employees; the Treasury Department, which has lost more than 30,000; and the Department of Agriculture, which has lost more than 20,000.

When will first line managers get let go

Don’t teams need a minimum of six? On my site many are down to four and many of the ones that aren’t they are having managers plan to cut down to that. This is in research. When will managers get cut? Didn’t see any in last round get cut and none through PIP either

Rezolute

Dr-g developer Rezolute is considering potential layoffs. This decision follows the recent failure of a late-stage clinical trial. The article does not specify the number of employees targeted for these reductions. No details are provided regarding the specific departments or roles that will be affected. The company's strategic evaluation of its workforce is a direct result of the clinical trial's unsuccessful outcome.
