Has anyone heard or been hinted any updates about housecalls?
Now that the metrics are even more strict this year, and the last update is even more charting. Just makes me wonder what’s coming, if anything.

@r5 look at it from a business view and use copilot to get an idea. UHC strategy has changed to improve margins rather than maximize enrollment.
This past quarter ending June 30 UHC reported 7.6 million Medicare Advantage members a reduction of 800k (less of a reduction than what they predicted which is good for us).
Source is July 16 earnings call which you can find and listen yourself to avoid AI making stuff up.
House Calls is important to the value based care model which means improved outcomes and coding accuracy is more important than maximizing the number of visits. We also help with retention as most members enjoy and get value from the visit.
Medicare advantage is location specific at the county and zip code level so knowing how your specific area is doing is key.
Outside forces such as government CMS Congress etc being skeptical about the purpose of in home assessments is also something to keep an eye on

@pe that was the beginning of this year. How would we know more are coming? Other than next year when people are picking their plans again
HouseCalls is supported by membership. UHC cut millions of Medicare advantage members. There are many times of major changes of membership or staffing.
Common sense tells us that more is coming, but we won’t hear this from leadership. We have to ask questions “off the record” to get any hint of the truth.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
@df I asked about this and my manager stated that the schedule can only be viewed 90 days in advanced. They said this has to do with member scheduling.
@OP Hmmm.
For anyone reading this, when you sit down to create scheduling availability changes on your portal, can you do this through the end of the year? Or does your availability seem to disappear at the end of September?
@at Truly supported? If it were the case, they would have been out of business already.
@OP I would bet the last update has more to do with DOJ deep dives to make sure all diagnoses can be supported and less to do with layoffs. I think we are solid as payments to Medicare Advantage plans seem to have settled in somewhat.
