Legit Question

Do we really think the company will lay off all merchant facing jobs and move to the Phillipines? How could we do that and still be an American company and publicly traded?

This is alarming to think we could lose our jobs just because cost is cheaper in a third world country. Is this what worldpay does? I heard they are closing most buildings down at the end of the year, except Cincinnati, Atlanta, Rochester, and Jacksonvill. Is that true? Thesis is scary times. 😢

Fidelis and Fortuna

Apparently Centene is outsourcing Fidelis Retention responsibilities to a third party called “Fortuna” as some kind of pilot, claiming it’s to “offer additional options” to members for enrollment/renewal. This is while Retention reps have been begging management to hire more staff, lighten the load, etc. I have a bad feeling about this.

Why do people keep speculating Fiserv is going to do layoffs?

Mike Lyons has said repeatedly he cares more about the long-term goals of the company and not trying to do as his predecessor did with layoffs before every quarterly earnings calls. And that's also echoed with other C-Suite executives who have signaled before that the previous labor cuts have hurt the company's position in the market. Fiserv can't afford to trim more staff if they want to retain and attract new clients. So someone explain to me why people here keep saying layoffs are imminent because there are no signals of it from senior management.

How long before it happens here?

I’m sure you’ve seen the news about the Amazon debacle where AWS was taken down for half a day by an AI mistake. This will not be an isolated incident. Expect more of this as companies keep replacing experienced employees with flawed AI systems. Why everyone keeps doubling down on this is beyond me.

This site use to be pretty useful…..

But am blown away at the number of id--ts, racists and trolls that are posting and commenting.

It use to be 80% informative and 20% id--ts, racists and trolls. Those numbers have flipped since lads summer.

Maybe it’s just the TMO page? Maybe people not even associated with TMO are posting/ commenting ?

Duet Defends Layoffs Amid Financial Challenges

Parents, guardians, and staff attended an Eastern Nebraska Human Services Agency board meeting. They sought answers regarding recent layoffs at Duet. Duet stated financial difficulties necessitated the staff reductions. Attendees expressed concern that service quality for people with disabilities would suffer. The board cited ongoing legal proceedings for not providing specific financial details.

Bi-weekly meetings

Our manager has recently initiated bi-weekly meetings with all employees. The team already has regular meetings, and it is an open team where the manager is universally liked. I have noticed the team seems to be getting punished for not being able to do all things all the time due to other teams regulatory failings which are universally creating work for everyone adjacent; any ideas what might be going on as a guess? Could the company, wrongly as usual, be targeting our team?

Want to bet the vast majority of cuts will come from among us?

Senior management will remain untouched, as usual. For every executive who keeps their job, dozens of us will have to go. They'll go by the numbers to make their selections, which means the better you are, and therefore the more you're paid, the higher your chances of being cut. This company is slowly cannibalizing itself to pay for grandiose decisions that never made business sense.

We can fire people over discretionary pips but not inappropriate behavior…..

I would like to raise concerns regarding workplace culture and accountability, particularly related to an East Coast office. There have been ongoing reports from employees expressing discomfort with certain interactions and behaviors involving male colleagues.

Additionally, there is a perception among some staff that complaints about inappropriate comments or conduct toward female employees have not been consistently addressed. This has created concern about whether employees feel safe and supported when raising workplace issues.

There have also been broader concerns raised about leadership response and whether appropriate steps are being taken when complaints are reported. When employees take the step to bring forward concerns, it is important that they feel those concerns are taken seriously and reviewed objectively.
I believe it would be beneficial for leadership and HR to review these concerns to ensure that workplace standards, professionalism, and accountability are being upheld across all offices.

Leaders need to be in office as consistently as the employees they force to be there to protect their employees if you aren’t going to address the behavior. Get out of meetings and offices and start doing your job!

2026 JE Calendar Dates

Anyone know if the JE calendar was updated for the rest of the year? I heard there was something in April? If IT is really moving toward a 70/30 HIH/US split, it seems like there will be quite a few more JEs coming up. Low key hoping I get the axe 😬

FT: And now the end is near

Phone skills have been transferring back to FT. Website calls will move back on 03/23/2026. That leaves Retirement and Shareholder calls at FIS. After the filing deadline of 04/15/2026, those calls should move over, that date is not confirmed yet. How will that be announced? Will the remaining employees be given the date ahead of time or will the axe fall suddenly? Have no illusions, plan accordingly.

Could layoffs turn out to be worse than we expect?

I've been doom scrolling and reading all articles on Oracle and LE - and there are MANY right now - and I'm starting to worry that we're not being told everything and when cuts start, it's going to be much worse than we expect. LE is trying to do too many things at once and we might be the ones having to pay the price of it.

Is the 30:70 - U.S:HIH split real?

I saw some comments about how there is a push from leadership to restructure teams into a 30:70 - U.S.:HIH split.

I wanted to see if multiple people can verify this.

I know HIH is growing and they’re cutting US FTE but how true is the 30:70 split? If it’s true, then that’s all of us finished in the US
