Bad news for RTO trolls on this site. Joe Russo just confirmed the RTO policy is "not a top down one size fits all" policy. He said he encourages everyone to talk to their managers to see what they need to do to be most effective in delivering business outcomes. He also hinted that more company real estate sales will continue.

Mind your business
Why can’t everyone just mind their business? There’s so much drama because everyone hates people more successful than them. If you put that much energy into doing your job you’d be happier I promise.
India / APAC
Seeing chatter that people across the globe in India and apac are getting business update invitations - any truth to this?
Prom
When will all the Verizon segments get their own prom like Value? We are all the best in the business and want to celebrate how we play to win and drastically cut costs. It will be expensive to buy prom clothes with today’s prices, but I’ll save some money by not wearing socks. Let’s go team! One Verizon!

The real question is “why hasn’t Truist flourished?”
At the outset there was a great footprint, a lot of good people, a seemingly strong set of businesses, solid client loyalty and an opportunity in the banking landscape.
What will the business school case studies say went wrong?
DDAT in Self Preservation Mode
DDAT locking down claude code and cutting off use by business teams that have already been using and have built substantial workflows of value at a fraction of the cost or that DDAT probably previously told them they couldn’t do right now…or they didn’t know how to do it… the AI revolution… it’s beginning…

I went through Nike board directors & Upper Management profiles
And there is only one african american in board of directors.
what is the excuse?
Nike conducts majority of their business to African Americans.
Nike's sales and future designs are influenced by African AMericans.
Nike acts like they are fair and equitable company but it is evidently not true.
If I went through their profiles in 1990s, I am very sure I will have same impression.
When will Nike star hiring upper management people who are African Americans!!!
Don't just try to sell to African American be opened and fair to African Americans too.

CMMC Pause Triggers Layoffs and Contract Issues
Third-party assessment firms are experiencing layoffs and contract cancellations following the Pentagon's 60-day pause of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. This suspension, intended for reassessment, has created uncertainty and financial strain for these organizations. Representatives from assessment firms pushed back on high cost estimates for certification, distinguishing implementation expenses from assessment fees. Despite the pause, experts advise small and medium-sized businesses to continue pursuing certification due to prime contractor demands. The situation highlights the complex financial and operational challenges faced by businesses in the defense industrial base.

No MIP for You!
Rumors flying that poor business performance has the 2026 MIP set at 50% and a sunset of MIP for band 4 engineers planned for 2027. Management and band 5 retain MIP. This would put Honeywell dead last in pay among all defense contractors.
You’ve been warned. Budget accordingly.
Look for “aligning incentives with business goals” and other spin that all boils down to …
No MIP for you!

The majority of Centene jobs are going to be outsourced to India for pennies on the dollar. Think about it.....Why would they keep us and spend large US Salaries/Benefits costs, when they can take our work to India, utilize AI, and viola 1hr worth of work done for 5 or 10 cents on the dollar. This is a business and no one cares about your financial/family situations. Sad, but true. It's the harsh reality. It might now happen tomorrow, but most likely in the next 1 to 10 years I'm sure of it.
Having fun, yet. How long before another acquisition?
Rumor has it another acquisition is on the way.

Declining Revenues more layoffs in Oct? Nervous.
Will there be more layoffs if revenues continue declining? I worry EBIDTA will decline too since current EBIDTA gains were a result of all the layoffs last year. There aren’t any leaders left to layoff with all the businesses in one.

AI and ethics
Our planet is literally collapsing and local communities are being fu---d by data centers.
This ramping up of AI feels insanely near sighted, selfish, and unethical.
I'm having a hard time stomaching it. There are no real business LEADERS in the world anymore. Just sheep who think about nothing but the next quarter.
Belk Market store within a store northlake mall
Belk Market. Store within a store?
North lake Mall Charlotte.
Will this concept work? I thought the whole idea was to have a smaller freestanding market concept OUTSIDE of malls, not on the second floor of an already existing store??
I honestly don’t know how much more of this RTO nonsense I can take
I’m not burned out from the work. I’m burned out from the commute, the wasted time, and the feeling that none of this has a purpose other than making our lives miserable.
The irony is that I actually work fewer hours now than I did before from home. Time I used to spend working in the morning or evening is now spent sitting in traffic. Action items take longer to get done now because time that used to be productive has been replaced with commuting, and honestly I just don’t care as much anymore because I don’t feel valued at all.
Everything here just feels completely backwards.
We sell connectivity. Our entire business is built around connecting people from anywhere. Yet internally, we act like work can only happen if everyone is sitting in an office building. Why was it acceptable for decades before Covid, but is no longer? Why are we the only one in the industry doing 5 days and still in dead last place?
Nothing inspires confidence in your own products quite like refusing to rely on them yourselves. If the technology we sell every day isn’t good enough for our own workforce, what message does that send?
This policy hasn’t made me more engaged or productive, if anything it’s done the opposite. It’s just made me more tired and less likely to do any more than the bare minimum.
I guess Loyalty is dead goes both ways… who could have guessed it??

Get woke, go broke:
Teradata’s fall can trace directly to SM hire.
He went directly to DEI, ESG and hiring based on imputable characteristics…
Managers had DEI dashboards with bonuses based on DEI. ESG was front and center with Each all hands meetings.
Pronouns had more priority than a bullet proof Business plan…. Changes to internal systems to make they/them smile.
ELT hires? Pure DEI.
6 years of woke put Teradata in this position.
Go woke … Go broke.
Teradata… the perfect case study
How is Schwab 70%+ Indian????
I’m a relatively new hire in a TX branch. One of the buildings is completely Indian, my team is completely Indian, most floors are mostly Indian except for business. How is this possible when they’re 10% of the population? Something smells off here…
Technica LLC Announces 100 Job Cuts
One hundred employees will lose their jobs in south central Pennsylvania. These layoffs are a direct consequence of a Defense Logistics Agency contract task order concluding. Surprised that there is no big bang in media about SCORE
I’m really surprised that no media outlet is reporting on the shady business of the SCORE “outage” and how dell tries to avoid paying its employees the commission due yet the leadership gets their big paycheck without a problem while normal people have their commissions on hold because Dell can’t calculate their Q2 revenue!
Lack of Leadership
I've watched leadership celebrate American values publicly while overseeing the outsourcing of thousands of American jobs.
Recently, our CEO said, I am proud to be an American because this country was founded on the principle that ordinary people could do extraordinary things.
That's a difficult message to reconcile with what many employees are experiencing.
Employees are being laid off. Others are being required to train the people who will replace them through offshore outsourcing. Additional reductions continue while employees are told not to worry. Many positions are being transitioned to third-party providers, leaving employees with uncertainty about their future.
The real tragedy isn't just the impact on employees. It's the loss of decades of institutional knowledge and specialized expertise that cannot simply be transferred in a few weeks of training. Leadership appears to believe these roles are interchangeable. Those of us who actually perform the work know they are not.
The result will likely be slower delivery, lower service quality, frustrated customers, and the eventual realization that some highly specialized functions cannot simply be moved halfway around the world without consequences.
Cost cutting is one thing. Every company has to make difficult business decisions. But there is a difference between making hard decisions and pretending they have no human or operational cost. It makes even less sense when the broad brush of reductions and outsourcing are applied to business units that are highly profitable and growing.
If you're going to publicly champion what it means to be an American company, your actions toward your American workforce should reflect those values.
Business update- Capital Market
I thought about a lot before writing here ....so can someone put all the pieces together and let us know their thoughts...
Today every business unit leaders had a meeting called business update and they all spoke about capital market and blah blah...it's all about capital market..it's alright they are providing a business update and trying to be transparent which is appreciated.
But the issue is with capital market and capital market leader didn't have a single call with their respective team to provide an update.
So my question is what's going on here?
What they are trying to say?
What they are trying to hide?
What they are scared about?
Whom they are trying to fool?
Why is all of LNG team moving to JERA?
Seems like we are losing so many people to JERA and some very senior people too. What’s up with this esp as the LNG business is supposed to be a key area for XOM
