Happy Holidays

Hi Folks

Thanks for all your hard work and efforts through the year, without you we would be nowhere. I meant even without paying you were still in business.

I know your complaining about the pay, and last minute holiday debacle but the HR women isnt upto it, still we got her an award, we know where to spend the money.

Us execs are doing are last flights and free trips, i meant holidays, around the world for this year. Phew clocked up some points.

Ignore the ten 10 other happy holidays emails your going to get as were spending your money.

Best wishes R & Cam

Verizon is not done

Just because you were just let go, or know of others being let go, doesn’t mean the laid off 13,000 in a single day.

They got the higher paid, and the lowest performers off the books before the new year.

More waves are coming. ETA 12/20 and 1/20.

If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, however, I’m still quitting after I take advantage of my Fmla benefits next year. Good luck everyone.

8 hour Tracking

My manager came up to me yesterday and said, “I’ve noticed you haven’t been here for the full eight hours. People are talking. Leadership’s watching badge logs. I can’t have you leaving at 2 or 3.”

They’re building a list of everyone not clocking the full eight hours. Anyone on that list moves straight to the front of the line. Three warnings, she said, and you’re out.

I have to pick up my kids and they are not even being flexible for families. What the heck is going on? My husband wants me to find another job.

A friend's brother...

A friend of mine's brother coaches college sports. The nature of that job means getting 'let go' every 3-5 years, always around the holidays. It's a brutal job. My friend lost their job a few years back and called her brother for advice. She told me this...

Routine is key. You're going to want to spend every moment of every day looking for your next job, fight that urge. Your new job is finding your best job. To be your best, you need rest, you need down time, you need exercise. Take 3-4 days to lounge and de-stress. Then make a list of small house projects. Then put your schedule together. Your day should include no more than 4 hours looking for your next job. It needs to include a workout and something for your family. When those things are done each day, don't feel guilty for watching TV or enjoying your free time. Stay positive, we all get the silent treatment from potential employers along the way.

Hope it helps.

It just keeps getting worse!

Things never change with this company! Each year, our hours keep getting shorter, yet the workload remains the same, and they still expect everything to be completed. They assume salaried managers will handle it all, but those who work the hardest often burn out quickly. Meanwhile, others seem to get by without any consequences. If you were hoping to earn some extra money for the holidays, be aware that you might only be scheduled to work the day after Thanksgiving—and only if there are call-outs from permanent employees.

Let this be a strong reminder to you.

You are an entry on a spreadsheet. Nothing more. Your work, attendance, team spirit, participation in HR childish buffoonery, none of it matters. None.

Give the least amount of effort possible, and when you decide to walk for a different/better job because you no longer expect to spend a decade or more at one company, just walk out. No two weeks, no notice, nothing. Just a note and your all your equipment in a box.

You. Owe. Them. NOTHING.

Does FIS allow unused vacation days to roll over to the next year?

Hi everyone.

Current TSYS employee here. I am wondering if FIS rolls over your unused vacation days to the following year. What's the policy around it? Because currently in GPN, we have to use it in the same year or lose it.

Boeing work culture is toxic

Years of layoffs have made a very toxic work culture. People do not want to help their coworkers because they are afraid they might be the next person looking for a job.

You cannot have a work culture where you lay off the most experienced people because they make more and expect those same people to mentor younger employees. Instead, you have created a culture where no one wants to help anyone.

Join the Union

Please take some time and review and send in especially if you are a frontline worker. Regardless of what happens on 11/20/2025 we should join. We have been getting raises less then inflation for years, our Rx coverages got way worse and our insurance increased by 30% of cost while removing almost all employee discounts from other companies. That whole new program actually cost more then retail in most cases. Providing awards points which are pennies on the dollar while PSO workers get weekends off but reps who have been performing well for over a decade can't see their families on the weekend.

This needs to stop now!

https://cwa-union.org/ Your leader wont help you, your SM wont, your AD wont and sure as he-l your director wont. Time to have a real work life balance and livable wage.

Outsider point of view

This company does not demonstrate genuine support for its onshore employees. Although they offer retention bonuses to individuals acquired from other organizations it is not fairly across the board, they simultaneously create conditions that make it extremely difficult for employees to fulfill their contractual obligations eliminating their retention bonuses obligations. The strict “no bench time” policy, combined with the expectation of securing billable hours immediately, before assignment ends results in employees facing the threat of termination through no fault of their own. Employees submit multiple internal applications submitted with large amount of rejections.

I strongly advise caution when considering employment at Deloitte. The constant pressure to find the next billable assignment creates an environment of ongoing stress and instability. It is counterproductive for the company to acquire skilled, intelligent employees only to undermine their tenure and contributions. From the outside looking in, Deloitte’s constant rotation of employees can make it seem as though they are trying to hide their inability to properly support projects

Additionally, there are concerns regarding the company’s independence, as employees are often pushed toward using preferred partner vendors from which the company appears to financially gain. Dictating what companies you can do business with.

I thought 60 for 6 was a troll

Until I read Mike's email

As someone who was bought into his new leadership until reading that it was very disappointing to see the disconnection from reality

Am already working 11-12 hour days 5 days a week without enough time to do everything as we are chronically understaffed and 90% of my time is spent dealing with issues that are a direct result of poor systems in place that have only ever been band aid fixed at best.

There is dead weight at fiserv who should be axed. But majority of people are hard working and doing the best they can with the systems available to them and until reading that email were quite energised at the thought of help being on the way.

Instead they were just told to do more work with no other changes apart from empty catch phrases.

So disappointing and upsetting to read.

Help me think through this. Volunteer to be laid off?

Hello. I have money and am losing my work passion. It’s mostly as a result of workload and how frustrating it is to accomplish the most basic of things.
If I volunteer for lay off, what are the implications? Is the severance one year for someone with 25 years of service? Am I going to give up a good bonus score? I know scores are manipulated to achieve certain payouts. I am on the fence about continuing here, but I know I am very good at my job.

THERE IS LIFE AFTER VERIZON

Heard about the big rif coming...
The company is sinking, and they are doing whatever they can to save the investors.

Keep in mind.

Your manager does not care as long as its not them
The company does not care, you are a number.
You will find something else, and be much happier.
The company is NOT what it once was, greed and horrible management along with the BS surrounding the whole COVID and WFH was the icing on the cake.
Hans ruined Erickson, did the same to VZ
Stores are useless....and a total waste of money.

If you were smart, you took advantage of the education allowance and got a degree or did training on their dime to enhance your knowledge to take it somewhere else.

good luck, you'll be fine

Most ridiculous place to work

This is the most insane place to work. The expectations of senior leadership is unrealistic, to put it mildly. I don’t know of anyone who isn’t working 75-80 hours in a workweek and then having to work more hours on the weekend to still be behind!

I have seen many people sacrifice their personal lives, mental health, and physical health for this company to only be rewarded with being fired or laid off.

They have no concept of people having a personal life. If you want to have a heart attack or stroke at your work computer then this is the place for you. If you value any kind of life or health, you need to stay far away from here.

RTO Complaints - Gross Office

Our VP sent an exhasperated email saying that she is doing all she can to "address the cleanliness concerns" in the office and that she has no control over the lack of desk availability. At least on our floor the break room fridge is a complete toxic waste zone and there are regularly old used plates and takeout containers with food still in them laying around.

Kinda funny that people at that level are having to hear and answer to those complaints. Maybe we can have a VP of Custodial Infrastructure?

How long to stay for bonus payout

I hate that I have to come here to ask this but I don’t trust my HR business partner at all. I am an HQ employee and I hate every day of it. How long do I need to stay in order to receive my 2025 bonus? I know we are paid in like February of the next year and stuff, but is there a cut off ? Or do you have to be employed through the pay period where we receive it next year? I’d realllllly appreciate the help or experience.

There is life outside of Verizon

I was a senior manager and was severed in late 2023. We were given like 3 months notice which was awkward. The worry, anxiety, feeling of being a failure was very overwhelming. The job market had changed dramatically since 2011 and I found it very frustrating to apply over and over to jobs I was 100% qualified for to not even get an interview. I made getting a job my job, worked at it 8 hours a day. It took 3 months before I landed a job....and it was an amazing job. 2 years later and things are still amazing. Way better pay, better work life balance, and they really value my abilities and skills. Verizon trains very well, and remember that you bring alot to the table that is very attractive to employers. Leaving Verizon does not mean lower pay. Being somewhere were you are more than just a number is refreshing. Not being at Verizon anymore is refreshing. Hang in there folks, you got this!

No longer.

I don’t care that the workload has gotten so heavy I can’t get it done. I’m no longer skipping a midday break and no longer working long hours. I’m done. Working through lunches and working 2-3 hours extra a night is not doing any dents in any of the work anyways. All it’s doing is stressing me out, making me bitter with my life and family. And at the end of the day, this just isn’t worth it. I will get another job if I get laid off. This isn’t the end. I just realized this tonight and I’m letting all this burden they placed on me go. I can only be responsible for what I’m capable of doing. And so are you. Nothing more. Work your 8 hours and leave for the day. Let it go.

I'm handling the work of several people

This was supposed to be temporary and somehow it morphed into permanent situation. Now I don't know what to do and how to put a stop to it but I do know if I don't, I'll burn out and quit - which is a horrible options since I have nothing lined up. Learn from my mistakes kids and don't put yourself into a similar situation just to be helpful.
