Anyone aware of someone successful in negotiating severance pay. 3 weeks pay for 3 years is ridiculous.

Rotterdam office shutting down
many poeple have been let go recently but heard there is a plan to shut down the office . can anyone confirm it
RTO rumors were a distraction
A commenter alluded to it in a post: while we fussed over RTO rumors the bank is finalizing the details to hire 5000 FTEs in India. Remember this is a place that kept wages flat and laid off people ruthlessly for "operational efficiency" but has no problem committing to sending thousands of jobs out of the country.
Great Press Exposure
Lots more news articles and post views generated about this RIF than the total AI tour. Great marketeering.
Add 10k more evangelists to promote the company at their new employers and it’s a total success.
When do companies fail? Too much debt? Negative cash flow? Or when the customers don’t believe they will be here next year?
Berkeley Heights Parking
It’s a valid point that when/if construction begins that we lose more spots.
It’s starting to feel like the garage is not happening. Like they’ll just keep the status quo. Dark thought, but if enough people are let go, then it’ll just go back to 2023 where parking is tight but mostly manageable.
I don’t mean to be a Speculating Steve, but it’s now been almost a full year since the initial announcement. And with each passing date, it feels more and more like the garage is never actually happening.
Sorry EHO, you are next

Cuts, and job threats.
Every day we hear something about cuts and have are jobs threatened! Do it already! Tired of being under the damn microscope! I constantly see people sitting in the cafe as I go from assignment to assignment, and everytime, no matter what time, there is a old blond haired lady sitting in OC8. No wonder Intel is in trouble, paying people to sit around and do nothing!
Fire EH
By numbers, JD grew top-line revenue from $37.4B to $51.4B (+37% overall). EH is driving a revenue contraction from $51.4B to a projected ~$46B (-10% decline).
Numbers don’t lie or drop tears. Winning!
More restructuring, more layoffs
People are being asked to leave. When would this ever end?
Synopsys India (Bangalore office)
We are a team of 7 and 6 of us received an meeting invitation from HR individually for tomorrow morning. My manager is very confused about it too and colleagues at office strongly thinks it has to do with the lay offs. Its better to get severance and leave this place at this point. I'll update tomorrow about the outcome but it's 99% we are being eliminated.
Hour Media Acquires SagaCity Media, Layoffs Follow
Hour Media acquired SagaCity Media, a regional publishing group. The purchase price for SagaCity Media was $1.6 million. Layoff notices were sent to employees, including Portland Monthly staff. Net proceeds from the sale will go to First Fed due to SagaCity's $2.6 million debt. A court-appointed receiver oversaw the purchase agreement.

Tone Deaf
One of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed in corporate America happened last week. Our tone deaf executives stood in front of a room and shared a half a**ed set of things we should care about. Then instead of making their “I will” statements back to the work force they had employees “commit” to their ignorance by reading statements.
News flash: Read the surveys. Less than 20 percent of the company supports the leadership team. Rumor has it we are going back to the office because the biggest proponent of going back to office has a spouse he can’t stand 😆😆😆
The company is going through turmoil and more and more people will continue to leave, can’t blame them at all. Thank goodness I’m in the final round of interviews. Instead of making things better they are getting more erratic.
30+ years, lost $380k in RSUs, not even a thank you
Oracle used to be a great company to work for. They really cared about making work GOOD for people, at least in dev teams. They wanted you to be able to work well, so they did everything they could to help - on site dry cleaning, food in the break rooms, ATMs, cafeterias with hot food, and any hardware you wanted that would help you get work done. Need a new big computer - no problem, for ex. Then that stuff started whittling down - no more dry cleaning, worse snacks to no snacks, ATMs removed, fight for new computers, etc. Not big things, but they added up. The message was clear. Then AWS ex-employees showed up and then took over, and now everything is a struggle, people are afraid to be laid off, and there is so much reporting on progress that there is no time to actually MAKE progress. The problem is upper management. Quality work and products are no longer the goal. Now it's work fast and deliver ...anything. Work late into the night, and on weekends, and then write up reports on it. No raises. No stability. Tons of backstabbing. No cooperative work. Just a horrible place to work now. Lots of covering up failures and blaming other people. So sad, because it really used to be great. Just MHO. 30+ years. Got the highest evaluations. Was told I was one of the top few employees in the entire org. Great RSU grants. Then laid off with zero warning by anonymous email in the middle of the night, locked out of the entire building, access to resources cut off immediately. And NOT ONE THANK YOU, for 30 years. I was completely loyal to this company. Now that's all gone.
Expect a second wave of layoffs this Autumn
As per a contact in HR, there’s word TB is planning a second round of layoffs in October. They’ll be reviewing all projects over summer. Anything non-core is likely at risk.
Further layoffs coming in July
As per a contact in HR - this was just the initial wave. They will be making further cuts this summer to reach the 30k goal.
I was going to resign by end of May
If I didn’t get laid off I was going to leave by end of the fiscal year. It was all I could do to stay as long as I did after the Sept layoffs. The work just piled up with hardly anyone left to do it, but if I stayed long enough to be let go, the $ reward would be pretty nice. I was ecstatic to finally get the nod. My severance is maxed so I’ll be using it as a paid 6 month sabbatical while I get ready to retire. Hasta la vista Oracle and Aloha Larry.
Layoffs In MA - Cardiac
Group RIF'd today. 8-12 people over 3 shifts.
Board’s Fiduciary Duty to Shareholders
Nike’s entire board ought to be scrubbed at this point too. Zero accountability for failings of successive leadership teams. Waiting on evidence they take their fiduciary duties to shareholders seriously at this point. Activist and buyout the best outcome at this point to break cycle of layoffs and restructuring to hide lack of real strategy and leadership…
Case Management
How hard have medical case managers been hit?
Juast 10k layoffs done or all 30k done ?
If only 10k done, do we expect another 20k. By when ?
If 30k already done, those left, are the safe ?
Layoff in ATL Linthicum?
Been hearing rumors about 50% reduction
Just fu--ing pull the trigger already
It's been over a month since we were told there would be GT layoffs. How much longer do we need to complete this "rationalization"? Fu-k the spring holidays, just pull the ripcord and send the emails already.
Any idea on Citi Layoffs expected in Q2 2026
My entire team was added to STEER a couple of months ago, so I assume we're on the chopping block. Several of my team mates have quit (found other roles outside Citi). I haven't had any luck yet, though I'm actively searching. How long after the add to Steer does one have? Also, what does the severance package entail?
Just wondering if there's a method to the madness, so I can brace myself.
UK layoffs will crack down on remote workers first
As the Alphabet soup continues to do mini layoffs to avoid UK government thresholds.
Looks like they will pick out people that work remotely, going as far to include peeps working 2 days a week from home.
Sounds like the shears are getting unleashed tomorrow
Will you be the one clipped?
Pre lay off?
What is this? Is this new? Do they actually get laid off?
Layoff imminent?
I heard from management that there are some pieces moving in the background . Has anyone heard!
Wisconsin Firms Announce March Job Reductions
Four Wisconsin companies announced layoffs impacting 982 workers in March. This total more than doubled the number of layoffs reported in February. United Natural Foods Inc. is closing its Sturtevant facility, affecting 443 employees. Charter Communications plans to close its Appleton facility, impacting 313 workers. Cree Lighting is laying off 172 workers and closing manufacturing in Sturtevant. Midwest Energy Resources Co. will close its Superior facility, affecting 54 employees.

The cancer started with the AWS folks
The truth is, Oracle was an ocean of innovation once, with mature software development that was run by adults. We believed in being a place for responsible and business oriented work/software, and to be a company that made other companies successful. Kinda like "All ships rise with the tide". A quiet confidence. The Oracle name had cachet. Sure, we lost people during mergers and aquisitions, but those were logical business decisions. Where did I fit? I came into Oracle's influence around 1997, and I was in and out of Oracle several times. The stories I could tell. However, the stories were within the norms of a company that was run by adults. Good and bad. I look around my life, and Orace paid for everything. My life is what it is now, because of Oracle. There was good. There was great. There is no way I can ever say that Oracle was a bad experience overall, but I can surely say there were some horrible times. Things started to go really bad, when Oracle got a case of insecurity and heavily recruited from AWS. Like the AWS folks had some secret sauce to take Oracle into the "new age". The AWS folks - or shall I say - refugees, hated AWS and jumped ship to be in Oracle. Sadly, those people who left AWS, for whatever reason, brought those same dysfunctions into Oracle. You could see it in how they interacted with "Oracle people". Yeah, the AWS transplants felt that the Oracle people were old, without innovation and at every chance, they replaced/cancelled where they could. Those AWS folks HATED Oracle! Crazy right? You left AWS because it was a terrible place to work, then you came and hated the people that hired you? We saw this happen over and over. If you want to see where this layoff cruelty came from, look no further than who came from AWS. Instead of being an ocean of innovation at Oracle, we have islands now...and they are shrinking. I am so sad to see these layoffs. Its horrible to see all the good people gone over the last year or so. These new people who are running things at Oracle, just don't get it. I think Oracle, at least the Oracle I remember (Good and bad) is dying a quick death. The current leadership is not reading the room on the AI narrative. They are doubling down on a plan that won't work because the room has changed. People - as in the general public - are getting tired of AI Resumes, AI videos, AI words, AI decisions created by a machine running on old data. These folks who are running things don't have the experience of knowing how trends go (Blockchain anyone?) So these layoffs. My guess is Oracle will implode soon on this direction. I just hope there are enough adults to want to get back in the game and fix things, and hire these folks back when it does implode.

The axe has been sharpened!
Expect onshore, both FTE and Consultant, reductions now through June. Many TCS resources will be exchanged for MGCC employees. FTEs will be reduced through team consolidations. You will start to see movement soon.
Layoff total
Does anyone know the extent of layoffs that happened in the last few days? Was there any layoffs today also?
Different people are reporting differently. I’d appreciate if anyone has analyzed this and can share their findings. Someone is maintaining a running total from Slack (Thanks a ton!), and that says about 12,000 people were let go.
Terrible to hear about layoffs and see our coworkers let go. I hope this madness stops soon so we can focus on work. Tired of being on the edge for the last 6 months. Thanks!

Thoughts on Pending Internships and Employment After
Is it possible that the upcoming summer internship program may be cancelled? I'm surprised it's continuing, considering recent layoffs. Do you think they'll be able to offer any FT positions after the internship ends, given layoffs and the economy?
Layoffs question
Every company lays off employees. But I see so much hatred for Waters regarding Layoff and toxic work culture? Why ?
How are layoffs decided ? Is it case by case based on performance ?
Or entire teams get laid off ?
