If you are thinking about leaving, leave! This MC is making a ton of bad decisions and the titanic known as Fiserv is taking on water. Find your lifeboat and get out. It is only a matter of time and I assure you, they do not value you or your knowledge. And at this stock price.... decision is a lot easier.

February commission payments still not done
EMEA commissions statements are typically ready on 6th-8th of the payment month. January looked like an outlier, being the 9th. However, as of 10th April, there is no statement for February.
So, what happened:
- The comms team got RIF'd - unlikely
- It's just a bit late - possibly
- Something more sinister is going on in EMEA linked to the RIF - probably
Lack of respect for employees by Oracle - the gift that just keeps on giving.

Cleveland District Pays Consultant $272K for Layoff Planning
Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) hired an HR consultant. The district paid coLeague $272,000 for a seven-month contract. This consultant was engaged to help plan upcoming staff layoffs and reassignments. Critics question the high cost, arguing internal staff could manage this task. CMSD states the consultant provides interim leadership and supports decisions, not determines staffing levels.

If there are layoffs…
I think they will be announced by April 27-28. That would allow the layoffs to wrap up before the start of Q4 while also giving 60 days of notice under the California WARN Act. They did the same thing in 2023. Hang in there, everyone.
US Layoffs Targets
What is the targeted headcount reduction for the US?
Layoff conversations next week
Seems like a lot of people have received the schedule update about a mass meeting next week. Seems to be an hour long and the subject on the table? Layoffs? They did say by mid April we would hear something, is this the something we don’t want to hear. Was it only for Auto underwriters or did any other department get it too? The managers are acting clueless and maybe they are but it’s hard to believe that they really don’t know anything.
RDO Equipment Lays Off Dozens Due to Market Conditions

Part of previous RIF, never returned laptop, still got severance
Random post, but to anyone wondering/concerned if you don't return your laptop in time or are like me and forgot (for good reason and not on purpose, long story and health issues), I still got my severance pay (shrug emoji). Just realized I still had it and thought I'd share

can someone with legal knowledge weigh in on this
There is an Older Workers Benefits Protection Act (OWBPA) where employees over age 40 are entitled to a 21-day review period and seven-day revocation period for severance agreements.
Would that begin once you get your formalized walking papers? How can there be a deadline to accept the buy-out and its "approximate" info if this is a federal law?
Big hit coming
Rumors floating of 15-25% layoff coming.
Any advice for internal transfer FROM bank to avoid layoff?
Been working at the bank several years and my immediate team has had transitions either with new teams joining or leaving multiple times over the past 18 months. Tired of living in constant fear I’ll be next. I’m an analyst so a decently transferable role to another field in P&C or Life, I would think. Thinking of trying for an internal transfer but also worried that’ll put a target on my back if they have to do layoffs. I feel like working in the bank it’s just a matter of time.
Severance
I have been here close to 5 years but I feel like my team is on the chopping block and being automated. Some People are getting moved to other teams and red badges let go.
I think eventually blue badges will be let go a couple at a time. Does anyone know if severance is provided for small cuts like one or two people or is severance only for the big LR's that get anounced for a large percent??
Hiring freeze and AI automation and another layoff?
AI has been a really really hot topic at the company in the last month. Obviously it’s been a hot topic at the org for a few years now but they seem to really be pushing it extra hard the last month. Got word we are now in a hiring freeze of sorts and any role looking for backfills will now be reevaluated on if AI can take the place of that role. Are we headed towards another big layoff due to “automation” in the next few months? Been saving extra hard lately for fear of not having a job soon. Anyone hear of anything about layoffs soon?

“Workforce Reduction - Self Nomination Program”
this has to be some reality show at this point, where are the cameras? All you can do is laugh. Who in their right mind will voluntarily raise their hand to be terminated… only to find out volunteering yourself does not gurantee termination. They just did layoffs not even 6 months ago and now this. I would rather them come out and say they are going bankrupt because this is just comical.
Volunteer yourself for layoffs!
Now I’ve seen it all! Clown show

Why does this fool continue to push his lies? Lets flood miss Mornings with Maria who interviewed him and let her know what crumpet man is really doing with firing forced bah employees and falsifying performance ratings to terminate or not pay merit to bah again
Who Decides?
I’ve heard that managers don't have input in layoff decisions. Does anyone know who actually decides who gets cut? Is it a Director, VP or is it HR, Finance, or someone else? If manager input isn’t used, what specific criteria do they rely on? Please share if you have firsthand experience.

Stuck, Not Settled
Let’s be real nobody’s exactly waking up fired up to work at Dell these days. But with how tight and unpredictable the market is right now, a lot of us are still tethered to our roles whether we like it or not. It’s less about passion at the moment and more about stability, timing, and being smart about the next move.
So we show up, do the work, keep things moving, and stay ready knowing that when the right opportunity comes along, we’ll be in a position to take it.
AI Winners
Hey fellow Vteamers! I am really proud of us for completing our Google AI professional certificates and posting about it on LinkedIn for attention and praise. It’s a monumental achievement in showing to the world that we play to win by completing another company’s training materials! When my kids bring home their participation awards, I show them my AI certificates and we celebrate our accomplishments together. AI unlocks EI and makes us amazing humans. This will save us from layoff risk and differentiate us as superstar thought leaders. Yay team!!!!
