Why focus on a number? This isn't 4-d chess and ELT isn't that smart.
Was it a slip? Maybe. Can you do anything about it? Probably not. Stressing out about it won't do any good - just keep on stocking your kitchen with utensils from the cafe for the upcoming garage sale. :)

OP, ELT are not good at maths.
They could have meant any number between 30k and 100k.
There is only so much that can be calculated on the back of a napkin.
