Who do you think the board will sell Verizon to after they finish looting it for all they can squeeze out of it?
Look at your states WARN Notice
NJ WARN Notice. If Verizon lays off more than 50 people, they may be listed around 10/23. But not sure if they have to be listed if they give employees 60 day notice. Nokia USA always gets away from being listed. Not sure... — read more
Has any Verizon's decision ever gone in employees’ favor?
Over the past 40 years, has there ever been a decision that helped employees? IMO, they just keep taking.
Why Vz needed a new CEO
Hans did not have the experience or knowledge to lead Verizon - smoke and mirrors and everyone else pays the price. Sampath is not the right leader either. Stratton is the best fit to turn the company and stock around. Only met him... — read more
Strike Voluntold
We were told today that if they don't get enough volunteers for strike relief that management will do a mandatory selection. How is it that they can tell non-union employees that they have to travel and work outside of their home state and cross... — read more

What’s with the 5-day RTO rumor?
The chatter is escalating. Is there actually something to it, or is it just based on reasonable expectations?
Meeting in Bedminster today with "Important People"
So the meeting today in Bedminster was with many managers and other higher ups. The layoff rumors appear to be true, if anything this may just be like some other past RIFs. You get noticed then you have "X" amount of time to check for another... — read more
Serious question
What steps can the new CEO take to stop losing subscribers? What can be done to reverse something that's been going on for a while?
9 EVPs, 77 SVPs… 25% by 2030… so 6% a year tracks
This is AT&T’s “2020 Vision” but 10 years later, and the reduction goal being 25% instead of 1/3 of the workforce. I don’t know if there will be the COURTESY of another VSP but the HCL selloff was just a slap in the face. You had people with 30 years... — read more
5 days in office on its way
To get people to quit at first, then fire the rest that don’t follow the rules.
Is this rumor about massive RIFs on 10/23 for real?
I’m among those who expected nothing less from the new CEO, but cuts of 6% or more are a truly depressing number.
I don't mind layoffs
If the new CEO decides to actually get rid of the real fat, and we all know there’s plenty of it here, that’ll be one move I’ll applaud. You know exactly who I’m talking about, the unnecessary layers of management, the slackers who do nothing but... — read more

Verizon don’t ask for strike duty they tell you
We are asked to volunteer for different locations or functions but they do not ask you to volunteer as most managers are forced you do not have a choice. The only ones who have a choice are contractor like companies and such

October 23rd - Huge RIF coming
RIF coming soon and notifications will be on 10/23. Believe it will be 6% across the company and all departments will be impacted. Thanks for the usual early Christmas present, Verizon.
There is something fishy about the Verizon CEO swap-out

Just saying, human nature.
Extra Income/Side Work
Anyone has a side line of work, a business??? How do you manage to do it? Is it even possible given the amount of work we have? Any advice?
What is pay range for a Senior Director?
Curious how much my leadership makes. What is typical base and STI/LTI?
FRONTIER FYBR
Big layoffs across the board. The DEI hires from FCC OBAMA are coming. They are still employed at FYBR!
Follow the job board
The day after the announcement of a new CEO. Lots of open jobs postings disappeared from the jobs board. This trend always precedes RIFs.
Clean house and RIFs before merger
Dan is there to be the hatchet before the Frontier merger is complete. This way John Stratton doesn’t have to do the dirty work and ruin his image.
How do leaders pick who is laid off
is it by performance or bcuz of location, or just pure hatred?
Executive Bios on the company page is sloppy at best
Go and look at the executive-bios link. Dan's LinkedIn is not there, and there is an empty Phot logo. This is the sloppiness that says it all. No attention to detail, even at that high a level. In other companies, the communication leader will resign... — read more
Some of you just don't get it...

Value Marketing is a dumpster fire - stay away

How long before we can expect to start seeing changes?
I'm sure the new CEO will want to put his stamp on things as soon as possible, but I doubt he'll want to rock the boat too much from the get go. I'd like to see him start cleaning house on day one but I realize that's too much to expect. But I also... — read more
