Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Got a job offer

I recently got a couple job offers that is 100% commission and one that is not 100% commission. I am currently an ASM in a direct store. From what I’ve read the commission for the job I got the offer for is around $80,000-$100,000/year for the first year. Also, I have another offer for a competitor to Verizon in their SMB side. Which on average makes the same as the other job but it isn’t 100% commission. Would you take either one or would you wait and see what happens with Verizon. Not to brag but I have won winner’s circle a couple times as a sales rep for Verizon. (I know asking strangers isn’t the best but it is what it is I’ve been with Verizon for a while and idk what to think)

Basically no pay unless you make sales like real estate, I would pass but good luck.

Agree with the others, 100% commission is tough to maintain. What if the economy keeps slowly spiraling down. You'll grind harder and probably do ok because you're good at it. But it will cost you.

Is the other job partial commission? If so, you'll still be in the game.

100% commission is a trap. Don't do it.

100% comm ? A big risk IMO.

Going 100% omission means selling your soul to that company. You will never wanna take vacation. You will work long hours all to hit a commission target. I would much rather have a guaranteed salary get my benefits and my vacation every year. That’s just my opinion though you do what’s best for you.
