My calendar is empty, emails have ceased, all that’s left this week is the odd Slack message from a colleague asking if I’ve heard anything. On the one hand, I would love to have it end on Thursday so I can just get on with my post VZ life. On the other, I would love to stay and see what Dan has in store for the re-invented Verizon. My biggest fear is waking up Friday and attending a mtg with VZ leaders telling us to get back to business as usual work. That’s my biggest nightmare - VZ has far too many people doing work that doesn’t matter. I’d love to stay if something changes, but honestly don’t think it’s possible.

Agreed - I get Dan’s comments about this being an inflection point, and we need a full reboot. That is really painful for all, but it will be even more demoralizing if we just go back to doing the same work in the same old ways that got us here. Please make some fundamental changes.
It is so dead. People have checked out I've never seen it like this. Hope leadership has a message when the rif is done.
If retained you’ll be constantly paranoid in the coming months and years, as we all know layoffs will be BAU in 2026 and beyond.
Gotta agree with OP. Watch Dan’s interview:

The world is changing. Business as usual, or lots of meetings on the calendar is no longer enough without a clear change in how we work.
Not the case across the board. Meetings this week. Som canceled but plenty others to attend.
@a3 ahh I seen it coming appreciate the heads up.
