These layoffs have been routine for 8 years. A lot of panic and anxiety on this board over the last week. Knowing you will face this in the future; if you make it through this round, are you going to search for another job or stick around?

I’ll start searching for a new role
This one really does feel different. Like a slap in the face but some new guy. Basically punishing us for their poor leadership.
Google the HIRE act 2025 then ask yourself how your democrat or republican lawmakers didn't pass it to protect US jobs.
Then just sit and complain without calling or emailing these lawmakers who caved to outsourcing lobbiest and signed of on the sellout for Verizon to lay you and 15000 other American employees off while they keep hiring like crazy overseas yet raking in profits here in the US to pay Hans and Dan even more.
Verizon or anywhere else, if you don't want to fight for your office job then go to the field or prepare for the inevitable.
I was laid off last round, did some internal interviews for practice and landed in a promotion that has not been a great fit. So… it would be fair for me to get cut, and at least there’s a severance again instead of just being scared shitless I’m about to be fired for su-king/hating it
If you find a better opportunity take it. Why wouldn't you?
Have no plans of going anywhere. I enjoy what I do and the people I work with along with good pay. No matter what large corporation you go to, there will always be layoffs.
Don’t think so. Only been around for a few years and this is a severely unhealthy company.
There will be many more rounds in 2026. Why volunteer for continued torture?
Stick around but actively update resume and improve AI skills.
I’m not going anywhere. Verizon pays well.
I have no other skills so that’s a big YES!
I mean I’ll stick around until I can find something else with similar better pay. Until then I just need to keep showing up with a bad taste in my mouth and grind it out
No. I'm waiting for my bonus and lti then I'm looking
