HONA voluntary RIF?
With the spin-off…. Any rumors of offering packages?
July 2026 RIF
Company wide reduction in force.
Low Net Adds = More Rifs
It's that simple, the current work force is broken. Good luck on the unemployment line.
Elevance reported a net income of 1.46 billion dollars
As reported in the NYT this morning. Gail took full credit of course, but I could just envision her thinking “these RIF’s are working great! Gotta kick it into high gear”. Glad I retired a few months back and out of that stress.
Rif'ing for more execs
Viasat logic = hire/promote more execs and lay off the "little guy" and make sure that those left behind work the job of three people for "market value" pay.... yeah right. This place is such a joke.
Thursday RIF - what to do before Thursday
Tips for Thursday
Call in sick
Do not accept any 15 minute calls
Company wide reduction in force
Layoffs and firings throughout majority of sites today. My team was affected, and multiple people at my site were affected. No confirmation on amount let go yet.
RIF
Just got word Thursday is a go, however my leader had no word who's impacted. I'm in CP on the retail side. Good luck and may the odds forever be in your favor 🤞
Probably know the answer already ....
but does anyone ever see Kate J come right out and address the many layoffs over the past few weeks, or just continue to RIF more workers every month until she feels the time is right to sell off the remaining parts ?
FMLA Impact on RIF Notification?
How does being on leave impact notification if you are RIFed? Do they wait until you get back to inform you? Does the clock start while during leave or after you return to work?
This question is specifically in regards to maternity leave, so I have a firm return to work date.
How to get RIF’d, not fired?
Will appreciate serious advice on how I can land on the list of RIF candidates without pushing it so far that I get fired.
Got Riffed this morning
Was invited for quick meeting at 9:30AM for 30 minutes.
My manager along with someone from TPO joined the call.
RIF terms to be kept confidential.
My manager promised me to consider me when some position open,
TPO asked me to forward resume to cognizant manager as I have 10+ years experience in FIS.
For last few weeks, was working on process documentation. I think that was indication for what was coming.
"Prediction" for the next 6 months
Q2 sales will lack both plan and the latest exec forecasts. Substantially. SVP of sales and several Director / Sr. Directors in sales will finally be fired in August. Not for missing the target, but for missing their own forecasts now several quarters in a row.
ARR in the current quarter will shrink vs end of previous quarter (for the first time). That will be the catalyst for the bigger changes:
KKR will continute to re-shuffle the board to drive more accountability.
CEO still believes that "product is fine, everything else is the problem". He'll be fired, too. Timing just depends on interim and long-term succession plan. Nobody will miss him as he's been over-promising on outside investment / recapitalization / acquisition and under-delivering.
Once that happens, the power center of gravity will shift away from product groups. Don't need as many PMs and engineers if the goal is no longer just growth (which has been embarassingly lacking). PE firms are happy with high profitability / low growth or lower profitability with higher growth (rule of 40). Any combination works for them long term and the company will be reconfigured to set and maintain the direction.
All of this will be disruptive, causing more internal power fights. Good people will leave for better opportunities (which exist for them) why others will be RIF'ed in certain areas. That will leave the company with lower cost, but also understaffed in important areas. That imbalance will prolong recovery time.
In short - long term (18 months+), Omnissa will be fine.
Short term (12-18 months), it's going to get ugly. Opportunities for smart people to navigate the disruption.
You read it here first.
How is managed services doing post-RIF?
I know there were deep cuts of talented people even younger engineers. From my time there, I recall there were already many positions that hadn’t been back filled.
Why is the Union being ignored
With all the constant talk regarding RIF and layoffs. Plus, rumors of a reorganization of the lines of business. The company has not asked for any reduction of headcount on the union side. What gives?
Wholesale/ MVNO
Does any one work in this team - wholesale/ MVNO? I am hearing about crazy things going down there since last RIF. Looks like that business is nose diving and the new leadership is completely clueless and apparently their morale is rock bottom. I always thought that was a quiet business living in its own corner and constantly delivering. Sad to hear if this is true.
Can my manager lay me off
Can my manager lay me off just because he's doesn't like me? He cannot make a case of bad performance because I literally get praises And thank yous everywhere from all the other stakeholders. I am IC. Can he fire my me or somehow influence the HR or management to include me in the next RIF? Are there any guardrails to protect teammbers from toxic insecure managers?
Gonna have my foot out the door if I survive
If I survive the next RIF but our function gets impacted to the point where I have to take on even more work... I'm going to look to leave
Writing on the Wall
Well just checked multiple Sr Director and VP calendars and looks like some groups met already to proceed forward with next weeks rif.... its rare to see all of them meet same day/time and of course you can check the same day for prior weeks to see its not a normally reoccurring meeting. So I guess the lists are made and finalized, and Sr. Directors now know who is on the cut list. Obviously they can't share it early but I wish they could, just so we dont have to think about it for another week. My manager is concerned and I can't blame them... things just feel super weird lately.
Stock together (now in october) and Rifs..
So I was just sitting here thinking.. Did they move the stock together to October in order to avoid paying them out for a Rif that is planned?
Full disclosure I am not aware of how the payouts for the big Rif worked. Did they accelerate all stock together grants and pay them out?
Why else would this have been moved to October?
Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is surviving out there.
Department Transitioning to Center of Excellence
Does this mean we are about to get RIFed?
Did your RSU vest who got RIF this year post Feb?
Did you receive your RSU for this year already or is it still unvested? How long after your separation date it became available to withdraw?
Vacation not earned yet
If we suspect that we will be RIFd can we use up our future vacation? Would it be deducted from our final pay or have to pay back?
I may have used up all of mine for a nice long trip earlier this year. LMAO definitely don’t realize we’d be here looking at VSP and RIFd.
May RIF Severance?
Has anyone laid off in May (last day 6/10) received their severance yet?
RIF Today For Compliance
After 6 months of no word, or strategy from the top level: 70% of my team just got RIFd.
The company is calling these "redundancies" however there is no way there is another team capable of carrying our projects forward.
CDW Medical Insurance - are we covered until the end of July?
Does anyone know if those of us affected by this RIF on July 1st will be covered under the CDW medical insurance through end of July or are we officially without medical insurance now? This would be before COBRA is elected. How does this work?
Feeling pretty numb from it all. Still trying to get over the shock and we have been a one income family, now a zero income family!
McK Pharmacy Systems (EnterpriseRx)
RIFs underway for McKesson Pharmacy Systems (EnterpriseRx), particularly in engineering. Most engineering to be outsourced overseas.
Happening soon
Next round of RIF this month, it will be huge impacting all big locations
RIF's today - be careful out there
So disgusting the email from Don Duet while Riffing people that should be here who are talented. More people confirmed let go today. Jason Baklavas chosen to deliver AI when he hasn't delivered anything for Digital in over 2 years and is one of the worst executives to exist in this company. Clueless management, clueless company. The nature of these layoffs is just reckless. Riffing going on today, good luck all.
Cwell Cronies
how can pals hold each other accountable? they cant. so the consultants who keep hiring their buddies to make a "strategy team" paid 3x what managers are paid can do whatever, rif whoever, and answer to no one with smirks and sarcasm. not new...like last cmo who brought in 4 MD leader pals from caremore. Its gross and cold. Remember yesterdays rifs pay for the next exec.
Tomorrow July 2
So will there be any rifs tomorrow or do we need to wait until 7/16?
Changes
My boss had a closed door meeting with some guy. I think this means something is happening, probably a major rif coming very soon. Prepare for everything
Brinks Acquisition of Atleos is Approved!
Stockholders have voted in favor of the acquisition! Let the sh-t show resume and the Rifs continue.
Enterprise Security's move to HCL
Is anyone here affected by Enterprise Security moving over to HCL? What are they telling you about timeline? Are you assuming an eventual RIF from HCL, and what is their severance?
Life After Verizon???
Of those who were RIFed in December 2025, how many have landed another position? Full-time, part-time or contract? How long did it take you? Cold application or networking?
Or, are you still career hunting? Frustrations and challenges? ATS, AI, etc.?
Or, if you are eligible to retire, did you?
RIF for remote 29 and 30
Got a direction to reduce remote roles today. Anyone else is getting this? Especially to prioritize 29 and 30 who are full remote and in the USA.
Tuition reimbursement
Does anyone know if you have tuition reimbursement if it has to be paid back for being RIF'd or if you decide to take the VSP?
RIFs in August
Confirmed but unsure about the impacted departments and %
More RIFs in Windsor Locks
More layoffs for Windsor Lock this summer. It is going to be a long painful summer!!!!!!
