So maybe I'm dense, but I don't understand leaderships FOMO of AI , these guys are trying to throw AI at every problem, when most of T business models have nothing to do with AI directly, they complain about churn, and think AI is going to find some missing demographic, or want to use AI for lots of internal development, yet we're constrained by regulatory limits that don't play nice with GENERATIVE features of today's models.. Help me understand...

Does coming into the office over the weekend count as a badge swipe? Could I come in on a Saturday for a few hours and WFH on a mid week day? It's still 5 days a week I would think?

Hi - i’m just wondering if anyone knows when we will get paid out our vacation days. There’s no way my vacation days were paid off for my seemingly last pay check I just received. Can we expect it with our severance or is this another kind of pay check we are getting? Sorry this is my first experience ever with this. Also have a baby on the way and am needing everything I can get from them that is mine.

Say a mass layoff happens next week like it did back in 2015. Will the meetings where they break the news to people be over Zoom? Will there be a room option and a Zoom option tied to the meeting. I’m just trying to picture how this will all work given our hybrid model, as that obviously wasn’t a thing they really had to worry about back in 2015. I honestly hope it’s just a Zoom call. Recently got my employment terminated at Nike. I was working as a contractor ETW at Nike. My vendor called me and told me that my contract got terminated due to HR policy violations. This is because as I am a remote employee I went to Nike office occasionally. But I don’t have an active badge. My badge was expired long back. Also, I got a call from local police saying that not to enter Nike property. Anyone saw this kind of stuff happening?

Got the severance payment. What if I don't return the laptop & keep it? Can they come after me? Lets just say its not a brick/locked out.

Did anyone notice a difference in the Q4 pulse survey? It looks like the question are geared toward leadership. The last comment box directly asks what action has been taken since the last survey. Maybe the new CEO is looking to make some changes for all levels of leadership? I’ve been with Verizon 10 years and every rif they only target below ADs. Everyone AD and above are always safe. It’s time to start snipping from the top and not the people who actually do the work.
