Has anyone heard anything about the severance package being cut in half next year?

@a2
Does that summary say or imply that it is really a comprehensive look at changes? The timing of that summary corresponded to benefits enrollment period. And everything in the summary seems related to elective benefits.
Not trying to feed the conspiracy mill, but until we can see 2026 Benefits Book on 1/1/26, I am not sure we can say definitely there is no change.
@dr Which is how it should be. Lost of track of how many slackers I've had to put up with because it took so long to actually terminate them for cause.
@gz
Hehehe..
Your funny.
@bm You won't have to wait long, I'm filling one on Monday smart a*s. I hope this is my old Boss. How was your Thanksgiving you emasculated coward? Ready to come in Monday act like you actually provide some value in life because you lick the boots of vile leadership that wouldn't last a day at actual top tier firms. Can't wait to see you out in the market bud :)
Severance is staying the same if you get laid off but if you get termed for cause, which will be the new norm, you'll get nothing. Better not be showing up on any days or hours in office reports.
They are not changing the severance structure - it's in the benefits book for 2026 - 2 wks for every year.
The budget $$ to pay severance in 2026 is dramatically reduced though. Termination for "cause" has started to increase and is being actively encouraged. No warning, no PIP - IM rating and out the door - no "notice period" and no severance.
Happened to a friend of mine last week. Be sure to collect your documentation now because access to everything is terminated immediately
Someone starts this unsubstantiated rumor every year for the last 5. Nice try.
@aj I’ll be sure to wait with bated breath for these “wrongful termination” lawsuits. lol
@aj yet, that hasn't really happened.
The only place I've ever heard of this is here. Take from that what you will.
Actually it's getting fully cut. Their new thing is finding a way to FIRE you for performance (and they pick anything since they are an at-will employer) and thus, very few people are going to get severance over time. Hopefully the wrongful termination suits will continue to build. Very, very unethical company that should be divided up and sold. Most Toxic in history.
It’s 100% true. They will be cutting in half and then doubling it. It’s a win-win for both
the troll gets so butthurt when people see through his "just asking questions" shtick
This rumor happens every single year. No, it’s not true. (Again)
Did you know they can fire you with cause such as not being in the office for 8 hours? They don’t need to pay severance when they fire you.
WF is so cheap
@a2 Thank you very much for the reply, made my day.
Not trolling, long time employee, only sharing what I heard. Didn't say it was true or false, only looking for answers. Stop with the trolling. It's getting annoying.
it's not happening. they have already summarized the 2026 benefit book changes and they do not include changes to severence. the full book will be available early 2026
Stop with the trolling. It's getting annoying.
