Is it just me?

Well, just wondering what else folks think..

Jack_Attack! has like zero charisma.. Like 0. After a few meetings seems like we hired a dud, like dud dud. Anyone else have thoughts? I just don't feel any enthusiasm or like this guy could usher everyone into a life raft on a sinking ship if his life depended on it.

At least re-Joyce loved Schitzcreek! <---- but she was still a cheerleader, and a dud.

Most corrupt company ever

Zero consistency. Zero accountability. Zero integrity.

Right here in DFW, we have hundreds of managers working from home (I.e. Eric Smith team) or sitting in the office closest to their home; And non-market based staff managers spread out across the country working in their pajamas all day. (I.e. Korte org)
And how many managers with minimal skillsets are flying below the radar because their director doesn't want to give up headcount while seasoned managers with broad skillsets are being let go in other orgs.
Meanwhile managers that uprooted their families, moved to Dallas, adhered to RTO are being let go cuz they are the oldest in the team. YES IT IS HAPPENING! Most can't afford to forego the severance & fight it in court.

FU-K AT&T!

Leadership is incapable of feeling shame

Fidelity's leaders should be ashamed but that would require them to be able to feel shame. Ned must be rolling around in his grave, rest in peace. I didn't agree with everything he did but he never showed the lack of respect for employees that we see today.

So much this! Reposting from @a6+1krerh6ct for being 100% correct.

Anyone have any juicy insight into what's going on over in PDD (Design/Tech) in Home?

I am no longer with the company but very curious about how things are going and moving along since last year's layoffs; and what the overall morale is like in Design and Tech; especially in the Home Division?

Prior to my departure, promotions were scarce and people were feeling stagnant, overworked/underappreciated and not being able to move around and grow... is that still the case for most L4/L5s and maybe L6s?

Message to CEO about How bad things are!

This message is for Mr. O’Grady, CEO, on behalf of front-line employees, managers and even regional managers in Wealth Management. Because we don’t know if you’re aware of how bad things have gotten.
Senior Execs in WM have made decisions to close down ESS and PCS teams across the country without a plan in place. There was minimal thought put into the transition of those clients and individuals within those teams were left with no leadership and an attitude of “Just handle it and I don’t want to hear any complaints.”
Of course there were complaints. And of course there are some financial losses. And because of those, 20 year (and more) tenured, experienced and exceptional people were given the direct blame and fired.
It’s such a big mess and so sh---y.
We feel like we don’t work for the same Northern Trust anymore, after working proudly for this company for decades.
The only thing being emphasized is the bottom dollar. Every single thing is about money.
What happened to the company who, during Covid times, not only didn’t lay off anyone but also gave an extra paycheck to the lower level employees? Why is everyone being asked to do more with less, with absolutely no recognition or appreciation? The very good people left are leaving.
We’ve become the laughing stock of the industry. We used to be the Bloomingdale’s of this business, and now we’re no better than Wells Fargo or BofA.
It’s extremely sad and disappointing. And we’re hurting really bad. But worse, we’re looking for other jobs. For some of us, who have been unsuccessfully recruited by other firms for over 29 years, it’s the first time we’ve even thought of doing so.

Wells Fargo CEO talks layoffs, celebrates '23 consecutive quarters of headcount reductions'

Our CEO is CELEBRATING 23 quarters of layoffs. CELEBRATING?!?!?

That's how much our leader values the workforce. Do the math - he's celebrating the disruption and destruction of tens of thousands of careers for the past 7+ years straight.

Move on if you can, it'll make all the difference

I was in a rut at Ford. Not unhappy enough to leave, not happy enough to stay. I was basically stuck. Then I hit a wall and realized I couldn't do it anymore. The day I walked out, I felt lighter than I had in years. My new role has its own problems, but I don't dread Monday mornings anymore. It comes down to whether you put life before work or the other way around.

What the name used to mean

I've been here long enough to remember when the AT&T name actually meant something. People respected this company. Employees were proud to work here. That's gone now. The culture is different, the leadership is different, the way they treat us is different. The only thing that's the same is the name on the door. Don't defend this place based on what it once was. Judge it for what it is now.

Layoffs and ReOrg have ruined my team

In essence these layoffs and reorg have taken the winds out of my team. the morale is so low it’s un-existing. everyone sounds miserable, noone answers to queries. No one is motivated. my team was a top performing team before all of this. people are scared n rightfully so

anyone else experiencing the same?

RIDICULOUS NCR ATLEOS MERITS IN SERBIA

They have lost all moral respect for human beings .. They feel that giving people a $20 and or 30 $ merit increase per month is going to make someone satisfied and or work in the office ? Has this company lost its mind? The huge CAMPUS that they built in Belgrade only 5 years ago , and now giving people $20 raises per month? Are they serious? They are looking to pay for the same positions a salary that they were paying 12 years ago .. .They are still trying to pay people in Belgrade $800 a month... That story has sailed... Then from what everyone heard is they fired the president of the Labor Union in Belgrade just so the top players could run the company.. This company has become criminal . All people are doing now is coming into the office and socializing all day ... what a waste of work force .. Then again while the GM in Serbia and his buddies are all profiting while they can ... not sure what is going on but people cant live on a $20 pay increase.. this is so low .. this company should be prosecuted

Do not try so hard

I realized there is no reward for trying hard. Arriving early and going home late is not noticed. Extra hours and effort aren’t noticed. Still trying so hard. There is no recognition or awareness of all you do. At best they will say something nice but they won’t give you a bonus or promote you. Just do the minimum and stop trying so hard. If they don’t reward it why do it?

This place has the most toxic culture. Everyone here seems to hate their job.

I have worked at several companies and so far this one is the worst. Pretty much everyone I work with seems to hate their job. Many people are very difficult to work with and have a very horrible energy and attitude which makes work unpleasant because they don’t want to do anything and are only here for a paycheck and feel stuck.

I guess I can’t even blame them cause I hate it here too. However it is draining when you’re constantly around people that hate their work and team and have a horrible attitude about doing their job. Management only cares about managing up and cant even bother to pretend to care about their team. We are all in a weird matrix environment where everyone is out for themselves while the managers only care about showing off and kissing up to the higher ups. So why am I here? Bad job market and I have bills to pay so I am here hating it too.

You make the company great

To Everyone at AT&T —
Let’s be real: the work you do doesn’t always get the credit it deserves. But when a first responder radios for backup, when a kid submits a college application from his phone because it’s the only device he has, when a family connects across the country on a holiday — that happens because of you. That’s not a small thing. That’s the whole thing.
AT&T has lasted this long because it keeps finding people who actually give a damn. You’re those people.
And you get to do it in Dallas — a city that, like this company, doesn’t apologize for its ambition. Great food, real people, a skyline that earns its keep. There’s a reason headquarters landed here.
The road ahead is real work. But so is the team beside you, and so is the investment this company is making in your future — not as a talking point, but as an actual commitment.
Now go make something happen today. Millions of people are counting on the connection only you can provide

Quick Take: Shut Up

She hit the nail on the head with this one. It perfectly captures everything people hate about fake corporate morale culture. Emmy P somehow thought the best thing to send out was a soft and little lifestyle reflection about pillows, sweatshirts, coffee mugs, and “comforting scents,” while employees are overwhelmed, understaffed, underpaid, exhausted, and emotionally checked out. The email actually comes across as being completely detached from reality. It reads less like leadership communication and more like someone journaling after a relaxing retreat while the workforce is still drowning in stress and expected to smile through it.

What makes it worse is how pompous and performative it sounds. “Home is where the rhythms are familiar”. Meanwhile employees rhythms are familiar too by trying to survive impossible workloads, nonstop emails, useless meetings, constant policy changes, and management decisions made by people who haven’t touched frontline work in years or even grass for that matter. Nobody asked for a poetic reflection about your favorite coffee mug. People want staffing, functioning systems, competent leadership, fair pay, and transparency. Instead, they get this polished corporate BS pretending to be “morale boosting.” It feels insulting and leadership communication like this always assumes employees are emotionally soothed by positivity alone, as if a cheerful tone can replace actual support.

And then the dramatic ending about opening “that enormous pile of mail” is almost comical. Oh no, not the mail. As if leadership even understands how miserable people are. It’s the disconnect. It’s leadership speaking like everything is cozy and reflective while employees are mentally exhausted and begging to feel heard. We’re past the point that all the “we care about people” messaging starts sounding hollow when it’s constantly wrapped in corporate inspirational language instead of meaningful action.

Please leave the company and for the new joiners, just don’t.
