"Don't take it personally"

I heard one coworker tell that to another who'd just been laid off yesterday. He was actually trying to comfort him. The guy we lost has 12 years experience, the one who said not to take it personally has been here for a year and to say he still can barely do anything without somebody holding his hand would be an understatement. And now hearing this, I'm even more convinced he's nothing more than an id--t. And he's still here. Fu-k this place.

Lumpsum only?

Does Dell do rolled over paychecks or only lumpsum?

I’m trying to know if I can extend my unemployment days for Visa reasons.

No one asked but I’m actually relieved from the WFR, I have been preparing for a few months and now I get to get the big fat Sev package so thats sweet

Will this lead to layoffs?

Quipt Home Medical Corp. (“Quipt” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: QIPT; TSX: QIPT), a U.S. based home medical equipment provider, focused on end-to-end respiratory care, today announced the closing of its previously announced joint venture transaction with three major health systems and two hospitals to acquire Hart Medical Equipment (“Hart”). Quipt has acquired a 60% ownership interest in Hart, with the remaining 40% interest collectively held by Henry Ford Health, McLaren Health Care, Blanchard Valley Health System, Wood County Hospital, and The Bellevue Hospital.

Do stores know already?

My mom works at Claire's and she's been really worried and stressed out for weeks. I think she's still worried her store will close. I'm wondering if the closing stores have been notified yet? Maybe if hers hasn't been told it's closing by now, it's among those that are staying? Can somebody please clear this up for me?

This isn't good for us

Any new CEO is going to try and impress everybody who matters (which is not employees, by the way) by making immediate moves to improve results. In this case, that will most likely mean layoffs. The chances are higher that a major round will happen as a result hen not.

Promises broken

When Oracle bought Cerner, they tried to convince us that there wouldn't be mass layoffs. That was enough to prevent a mass exodus. 3 years later and they've gutted the company. All of the buildings in KC are empty, even the campus they kept is a ghost town.

Layoffs

Can your team afford to lose any more people? I don't know who makes the layoff decisions, I assume it's somewhere near the top, but those people need to do our jobs for at least a week before the next one. They need to see how much we're struggling and what it would mean to remove more people. They make these decision way too easily.

Dang it!

I missed the layoff bus yesterday morning again! Didn't hear anything in COO Control. I thought they'd be targeting removal of all remote within Control by Q4 but there's still a lot left it appears. I've had four different bosses in the last 2 years after multiple reorgs. Did they forget about me? 😬 My new boss doesn't know much but speculates they might even keep me to Q1. 🤔 True or false?

Over 50 …

If I make it past this round, I plan to “quiet quit” (do the minimum) next 3-4 years and collect the package next layoff round.

If this is how they treat us … this is what they will get. It’s a very rational decision on my part.

What's another restructuring?

In regards to layoffs or anything else that may or may not happen, nothing that CVS does at this point will surprise me. Sadly this is how CVS operates. Think of how many restructurings CVS has been through over the last several years. I'm guessing more than any other company in America. So hey, what's another restructuring? Or what's a few more layoffs? Frankly to the executives, these things are nothing, because they're not affected by them. So to everyone here, just remember this is CVS, so anything is possible. Because again this is exactly how they operate. Always looking for short-term savings, and never looking at long-term down the road.

Well said, @tn+1k35bcf17.

EMEA Apps impacted

hey everyone! does anyone know if EMEA Apps will be impacted and what the timelines would be? I am sure that being in Europe it takes a bit more time to do the paperwork, but I am curious if anyone has any info. thanks!

Disappointing Outcome.

Yes I was laid off on Sept 2 , part of the fusion team in that US . It happen , but I was a top performer and I never seen this coming.
I seen there was a lot of people’s in my team that was acquire from other team that was probably not needed.
This company is only interested in Metric , you barely have no voice on any process improvement and the hope to get a promotion or raise.

The only good outcome I have meet some great coworker , manager are cr-p though

Business move on.

Status Update on July 2024 Layoff Victims

Just curious for those that were laid off in July 2024 how your job search went or is still ongoing? I still see some people on LinkedIn who never updated their position which makes me believe many are still out of work. On one hand, I feel for your struggles, but on the other hand, I honestly think it’s a blessing to not have to deal with the turmoil.
