Will the big BTP reorg involve layoffs?
The reorg seems big, but there was no clarification whether there will be layoffs or not.
Can someone well-informed please comment?

I have yet to see anyone in my team get laid off who actually deserved it
It’s always the reliable people with real skills and experience. Meanwhile, the same workload just gets dumped on the rest of us, including a bunch of near-useless folks. Why, ffs? Sometimes I honestly wonder how this place even functions. If office politics, basically code for su-k-ups doing fine, is the main criteria for layoffs, there’s no way this company keeps quality people.
Are layoffs going to continue throughout the week?
Allegedly half, around 7,500 people, were notified yesterday. Are they aiming for 14,000 total in this round, or will it continue in January?
Please post any updates
Especially about which orgs are affected, if you can. Thanks, and good luck to us all.
Mass layoffs everywhere lately, and it’s freaking me out
Heard some people here might’ve been let go a couple days ago, it’s hard not to worry. Feels like the writing’s on the wall. People are spending less, things are slowing down. I just hope this isn’t the start of something bigger.
Disneyland to lose 100 employees in round of layoffs
Several departments are expected to experience layoffs; however, Disneyland Resort declined to confirm which specific departments will be affected. At the time of writing, the California theme park has not filed a WARN notice.

For those affected
For those affected: your line manager will schedule a zoom meeting with you tomorrow morning, and will give you the news one-on-one in that call. There is a rough script they will have to follow. They will tell you about when your last day is (depends on WARN status, etc.), your STIP status (if any), and a little about your severance. They will answer any questions they are able. For any that they cannot, they will refer you to your HR rep. You will then get an email from HR almost immediately after you have had your call with your manager with further information and confirming everything you’ve discussed. Your manager is supposed to send out meeting invites first thing in your working day.

Hundreds of people impacted globally
LSEG continues with layoffs and hundreds of people have been impacted. It seems the company even took down a post about it as it’s no longer there.
It feels like another move to cut costs and make the numbers look better while the stock struggles. It’s tough to watch, especially since there are so many great and knowledgeable people here. They’re really the main reason many of us stay.
But for those who remain, the workload keeps growing, and so much valuable knowledge has already walked out the door. Who knows when the next round might come. Maybe Q1? There’s always that lingering feeling that anyone could be next and that will continue forever until …
Hang in there everyone.
Layoff running totals based on Slack
Tracking participants count #general Slack channel in Oracle One workspace, as the fastest available proxy indication of ongoing layoffs.
- oct01-oct29: 1950 layoffs, 1689 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
- sep02-sep30: 6275 layoffs, 861 additions (based on Slack regular tracking)
- aug14-sep01: 733 layoffs (based on Slack very few data points)
- aug01-aug14: ?2900 layoffs in IDC (based on media reports)
Regions outside IDC and NA usually have a significant delay when laid off people are disconnected from Slack (e.g. 1 month in Pacific regions, perhaps longer in some EU countries), so this is a floor estimate with additions reflected immediately, but reductions lagging behind on average.
I will post daily in comments on the count change and running current month total while this post is still on the first page.
October 29th layoffs
Reuters and Deadline have articles saying layoffs begin today. Lovely to hear this communication on the Web before the company we work for relays the message. Praying for all of our colleagues. Keep us posted on what departments get hit.

Aero layoffs
False performance improvement plans and blatant ageism. This company is a joke. I go in every day and keep my head down and barely do any work while watching the people who gossip get put on false pips.
We have washed up fat and ugly managers and directors at aero
Wonder which Leadship Principle was used to whack 14k people?
Feel sorry for you Amazon Bezos Bozo's who bought into all of the Amazonian bull cr-p over the years.
Am I the only one
Who notices how often this company does stealth layoffs around holidays? They just let a handful of older engineers go.
Severance Email
I got email.
So I just sign right?
1515 broadway
I heard the layoffs tomorrow will mostly be at 1515 broadway tomorrow with a goal of closure by March 2026. Can anyone here verify?
How much percent each team will layoff by next year?
It seems 5% so far. I am sure the largest wave hasn’t come yet.
I'm conflicted on how to react
I have some partners asking to cancel meetings this week given today's new while some are actively asking for deliverables. I don't know how to react. While I would love to cancel meetings I'm worried what the other partners asking for deliverables might think..

How is the Working From Home Movement working for you?
Congrats to all those who wanted to force employers to let you work from home.
This mass layoff is not only caused by that, but certainly employers know they want the upper hand. Very naive from employees when you wanted to demand work from home arrangements.
Ewww that smell..
Coming into Q3 I'd normally be hiring for core and seasonal. I got an email recently to just focus on core... There's always a smell that lingers in the air right before employees are about to get sc--wed over.. It's starting to get that smell at WSI...
CE1 Skunkworks sets a high bar for talent
Remember, slackers and under-performers have been PIP’d and let go. If you are reading this, then you know who you are.
CE1 will succeed and be a fantastic product.
VPs and SVP on LinkedIn already announcing new roles elsewhere?
There are a few Target VPs already posting on LinkedIn that they have new roles at other companies. They knew before us. Not only that, they knew like 60 days ago because they are already working at the new company. Probably got professional placement assistance. That's disgusting.
If you are at a lower level and are just being informed today, now you know how much Target values you.
What about the Tempe AZ location
Do we know if there were cuts there?
So I got laid off and it was a Tuesday
For some people, this was the most important day of their life. For me, it was Tuesday.
Rest In Pi-s, Salem Oregon call center
tech, digital & cyber
so far so good today. but... are we just left for latter and will there be a massive cut within these groups as well? i kind of have a feeling that we have been sloted for a later cut but i am basing this only on my personal gut feeling and i do not have any insder information. i was talking to one director level person and she thinks that we'll be fine but i am unsure if i should trust this. i am not too concerned but given how crazy all of this i'd say anything is possible.
528 + 287 = 815
Does the WARN filing mean 528 at HQ plus 287 at TNC?????
Or are remote and global roles missing?
I think TII would not be covered by the WARN notice as this is US only?
Am I wrong here?
What's the actual number???
Who got hit the most?
Did Directors and L7s take the brunt, or were L5 to L6 ICs hit just as hard across digital and merch?
Rough Estimated Remaining Layoff Count
For what it’s worth, based on the 10-Q of $1.6B the approximate 10000 layoffs that have occurred, an approximated cost of termination from historical digging of similar layoffs, the very rough range for number of layoffs left is between 1000 and 5000 (unless the 10-Q) is updated.
Any Upcoming Layoffs?
Anyone hear any upcoming layoffs?
Old WIM CAO
The old WIM CAO new to WiIM Shared Services was gutted pretty hard today. Lots of people packed up and displaced……
Process?
Any idea how it’s going to go down tomorrow? Obviously we aren’t getting a zoom mtg request from our dept head and HR…especially since our dept head has left the company.
Q: Tuesday after pay week layoffs
Have these Tuesday layoffs ever been large enough that they bled into Wednesday?
Waiver wire in January
I'm hearing rumors that due to an excessively high number of No's to mobility, there's the creation of a third bucket of folks for January. Calling it the waiver wire/floaters on hot standby, for those not formally provided an initial position. Thoughts?
GS, CSC, GR
Any word on how the call centers faired?
Round 2 Will be coming
I understand this is just the first Round and there is more in process in the next 3-9 months. Continue with the back-up plan
