I. E. Layoffs
Haven't heard a thing.
You seen him in that sweater with the zipper that goes down to the chest, trying to protray him as this warm figure like Mr. Rogers. What years did Mr. Rogers air? Mr. Rogers aired from 1968 until 2001. So anyone who was a child during this time is meant to accept the CEO as, a similar figure. But that is where it’s just an illusion. The same tactics used in union busting, but instead applied to all. All a lie. The stock is overvalued, and morale is low. I think lay offs have a high probability of happening.
Pwofits pwofits pwofits!
looks like those days are over.
It seems like D&S has been dissolved. What is going on with our talent management organization?
Are they just going to keep slashing our benefits bit by bit until people get fed up and quit? It's a cost-effective way to reduce staff without the bad press of mass layoffs. It feels calculated and cruel.
Even with the recent job reductions, Alaska is grappling with a labor shortage. Nonresidents accounted for almost 23% of the state’s workforce in early 2026, marking the second-highest share recorded since 1992.
“We base pay on labor market trends—not cost of living—so your compensation reflects your role’s true market value.”
Ok fine, but does anyone else see the idiocy of paying Stankey 26 million then? Based on what he’s done to once-proud AT&T he wouldn't get half that money at any other company in the world! Zero chance.
Pennsylvania ranks third nationally for layoff notices this year. Approximately 4,000 workers in the state have received notices for 2026. Amazon Fresh is cutting 983 jobs by closing six Philadelphia-area stores. The GIANT supermarket chain also plans to eliminate about 500 jobs. Economists view these notices as a signal, but not a complete economic picture.

Talk going around today between Dallas and Atlanta is that it's cheaper to pay off Leg T union employees to get rid of them rather than keep them on the payroll considering high costs, high absenteeism, low productivity and trainability as well as non-collaberative attitudes. It's being agreed on by top leadership that it's much cheaper and far more easy to pay the termination pay per contract, and now that the watermark is no longer an obstacle, the first step will be to declare surplus which means VTP will be offered without a cap. This is expected to reduce the Leg T workforce by at least half. The remaining will be Involuntarily laid off by year end as all Leg T work is automated, outsourced and off-shored.
pray be warned, efficiencies are a comin' and have started at the same time..
efficiencies such as wfr, vr and if not cr.. allover the uk.
If you wanted out, the ssdc is the place to be!
Cargill will close its Milwaukee ground beef facility. This decision impacts 221 employees. The plant will wind down production in April and fully close in May. Local organizations are mobilizing to support the displaced workers. Jobs Work MKE and Employ Milwaukee are offering free career workshops.

Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical is reducing its employee count. Approximately 130 employees will be laid off. This follows failed late-stage trials for a bone disorder. The FDA also requested more documentation for a gene therapy application. The company aims to cut expenses and focus resources on key drivers.

The Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board is organizing hiring events. These events will assist workers affected by upcoming layoffs at Yokohama Tire's Salem plant. The tire manufacturer plans phased layoffs over several months. A potential plant closure is expected in early fall. The first wave on March 18 will affect about 392 employees.

Does anyone know the logic behind who was determined to be JE’d?
We just laid off 20% of the employees and now we’re hiring again in our team. The role they are hiring for can be fully done by ai… what gives
I’m hearing the 23rd. Lots of Product. No more information. Good luck to all.
Over 800 people are being laid off with 60 days to figure it out.
Does anybody know what the “Grand Total” of lay offs was for the week? Not including the DPRs and such in the field. Just the Support office people this week?
Went as low as $0.90. This is bleak.
BART on Thursday presented proposals that the agency could consider if it can't secure additional funding to make up for its deficit.
The drastic measures discussed during the board meeting include closing stations, reducing train service and conducting layoffs.

Unless they spring some nasty surprise at the last moment. I don't even like my job, but I'm still relieved. I'm juggling so much in life right now that losing this job would probably bring it all crashing down. I imagine most of you are in the same position. What I really hate is that we've been brought to this, fighting tooth and nail for a job we'd gladly ditch for something better. There don't seem to be many better ones these days.
Kodak: Market cap 727 million. 3,700 employees.
Xerox: Market cap 247 million. 16,000 employees.
Is there a “right” layoff number or is this even a factor at this point? What am I missing here?
But younger people should definitely not waste any more of their time. There's no future at this company, and even if there were, all of you could do better somewhere else.
Has the street finally realized the BK bullsh-t?
Im sure the 🤡 will say "we are still the same company". I say yes, FRAUDS
Should I take that as a good sign? Or is it just the calm before the storm?
Only a day after Harley-Davidson's new CEO Artie Starrs relayed that he has a clear view of what needs to be done to rescue the legendary brand, there's a report that what the future holds are layoffs at the Motor Co.

Lied to everyone last December. They sat on that stage and told us layoffs would end after Q1.
NOT TRUE!
Layoffs will continue throughout the year. Not at the same level as we are experiencing now but every quarter will be tightened and tweaked. More of us gone in a corporate version of The Hunger Games.
Workload will increase, timelines won’t change, but fewer people doing the work.
Avg job search is about 9 months right now. Be proactive and start your search, get ahead of the curve.
It’s only a matter of time before we are all impacted.
did anyone see it? Someone asked about job cuts, and he said we are 74 management employees over right now which is 2%, but our normal churn is 3% (people leaving on their own), so he doesn't expect any cuts this year.
His words not mine. Just curious with everyone posting rumors of huge layoffs coming this month, when is that going to happen because Bill says it isn't. I also asked my VP, and he said he hasn't heard anything about a layoff. He's told me about one every time way in advance when somethings up. According to him they are very pleased with financials, and we expect to be in the black by end of the year with customer acquisition and profits.
In some departments there’s no worry for layoffs. People quit at such a rapid rate they can’t even staff properly. This company is doomed unless it corrects its ways. Customers and workers alike despise how evil the processes are and customers cancel and employees leave because of how terrible the call routing is.
Do the needful and quit already. They are moving the RTO goal post again because they aren’t seeing as much attrition as they hoped with the 8 hour tracking.
They don’t like that we use 1/2 days pto to avoid the office.
Finally, SLF seems to have found something she's really good at: sending the stock CONSISTENTLY down at the speed of a failed SpaceX rocket. Time for some put options, because when the FT news is public, and James has to guide the investors, you can make some serious money when the stock sinks below 35! (This is NOT financial advice, though!!!). Say hi to Bob T!
In November 2025, 1.4% of people employed in Hawaii were laid off or discharged, a lower rate than October. Compared to the national numbers, the November 2025 rate in Hawaii was higher, meaning a higher share of the Hawaii working population was laid off or dismissed in November 2025 compared to the US overall.
RationalFX data indicates 30,700 tech layoffs occurred worldwide in early 2026. This trend is on track to exceed 2025's total of 245,000 job cuts. U.S.-based tech companies account for over 80 percent of these reductions. Amazon alone cut 16,000 positions, representing over half of all announced layoffs. Other companies like Ericsson, ASML, Meta, and Block also announced significant workforce reductions.

Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) implemented its fifth round of staff cuts in six years. Eight roles were eliminated within its product division in January 2026. This reduction affected nearly 20 percent of that specific department. QBP's president stated these changes streamline product development. Former employees, however, view the repeated cuts as deeply unsettling.

Can’t believe it, but expected. IA pulling some T& C out on the sellers Q4. That’s its guys take it way from the people who actually bring in the orders.
PeaceHealth initiated another round of layoffs. This marks the third such reduction in nine months. The layoffs affect skilled caregivers across its hospital system. Over 150 positions are impacted, including hospice nurses. PeaceHealth cited financial pressures and evolving community needs for the decision.

Netflix recently conducted layoffs within its product team. Dozens of employees were impacted by these job reductions. This represents under one percent of the company's total workforce. These cuts occurred after Elizabeth Stone gained product team oversight. The layoffs happen amidst Netflix's proposed $83 billion Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition.

Seres Therapeutics announced a significant workforce reduction. The company plans to cut its headcount by 30%. It will also stop investing in its SER-155 phase 2 study. Operational focus will shift to high-value earlier-stage programs. This follows a 25% workforce reduction just months prior.
