If you’re still employed, try to get union. People should feel secure about their job and not stress about if they’ll have a job the following week, or month. This isn’t the end of the layoffs. Get some protection. The unions are there for a reason.

The cutbacks are the result of dramatic changes in how PHA, which provides affordable housing to thousands of families across the city, does maintenance and repair work. I am pretty sure they will disclose age numbers as it's legally required.

I wanted to see if we can poll folks that were let go and how many years of experience with Verizon they had and how old are they.

Will new person on BOD save us from more layoffs?

Steve-o appointed a Deep state Trump admin guy with solid GOP credentials just this week. Do we think this olive branch is enough of a quid-pro-quo to quiet the admin from removing the individual mandate and divert Health Insurance Corporate Welfare directly into patient HSAs? Will this stop the hemorrhaging?

Got a job offer!

I just got a job offer at a company that is actually growing. I’m taking -30k pay cut but it’s better than unemployment.

I am also being assessed for MS and the doom and gloom was contributing to my ms attacks.

If you get a chance to get out, please do it!! It’s not worth your health and sooner or later you will have symptoms.

I consider myself extremely lucky and I wish you all the best in your futures!

Any directors and senior directors should be get out first

They’re not real contributors to the workforce. They bring nothing to the company, and the only reason they’re still around is the cheap internal politics backed by upper management like Kalyani, Senthil, and Vivek. It’s embarrassing that they’ve managed to survive. All due to Shankar & Co .


NYC Band 8 technology and planning

AD and SD called, 6 years with VZ. Was recently moved to a new group and was working with senior engineers. Promoted very early on in my tenure, great performance reviews. Didn’t matter they basically said my functions can be done by people in India. Kind of liberating but disappointing at the same time. I just had my first child 6 months ago. I don’t blame current leadership although he was on the board. The stock price su-ked for a decade under Hans, but all we heard was glowing results.


What’s all this fuss about layoffs!!

I don’t understand this! Whats all this fuss about layoffs happening? There has been no such indication about layoffs. I’ve seen newly hired college grads in BH recently. They are already cutting costs by hiring them (affordable resource)instead of laying off experienced ones.
Its thanksgiving! People have families and don’t want to live in the state of constant fear.

Tldr: No layoffs hinted or happening in BH and let ppl live peacefully!
