Contemplating to stay vs taking another offer
I am considering an offer from a global company where I will mostly be managing/co-developing a team of developers building a product. The downside is I might be the only one on-site in the city and rest are spread across the world. RTO is 2 days a week 40 miles away.
I have a pretty good standing at T but just afraid of all these lay offs and relocations to god knows where. What do you guys think makes sense to do here?
When to provide notice and still get bounus
I have received another offer and plan on leaving. However, I want to ensure I still get my bonus. What are the rules around that and when should I put in my notice? I obviously can’t ask HR or my boss this type of question…
Google, Microsoft, Wall Street giants plan to shift more jobs to India

Tip
Instead of offering redundancy waters will offer you a new role.if you give it a go for 4 weeks it is deemed you have accepted a new contract and not entitled to redundancy.
New job and severance
I was laid off recently and might be starting a new job pretty soon. I’m worried about whether taking another role so soon could affect my severance. It wasn't much but I still don’t want to accidentally mess something up. I'm just trying to figure out how careful I need to be.
Job offer at Target
I have been interviewing at Target HQ and today I received a job offer! Target seems like a great place to work at. I’m leaning more towards accepting the role. I know they have had layoffs but I think that is ok, my job should be pretty safe. They were all really nice too. Any advice? I need to accept by Tuesday.
BEWARE - only trust the offer letter
Some folks are being offered roles with their supervisors saying “don’t worry this won’t be the actual job when the time comes, we’ll get you something better” or “no worries, this says same CL, but you’ll likely get a CL increase next year.
Do not trust any verbal commentary that does not make it into a written guarantee whether in the offer letter or an email from your supervisor that you review with a lawyer. Now is not the time to believe some wishful hypotheticals. Now is the time to trust no one except the piece of paper that your lawyer explains to you and you are comfortable with.
Only assume they will give you what the offer letter says.
Also, if your offered job starts in 2027, assume that you may not get a salary increase Jan 1, 2027. Ie same pay all of 2026 and 2027.
OCI Salary
I am currently working at Cisco, Sr Tech Leader title.
Base: $260k
Bonus: 15%
RSU: 75k/year (for next 4 years)
I cleared CMTS interview with OCI recently. They are offering $230k base and $600k RSU, no bonus. Shall I take the offer? They told me that this is the max they can offer for IC5 and they can't hire for IC6. Why the base pay is so low for IC5?
Has anyone been getting job offers?
After eight interviews, one of which went for five rounds, I still have nothing. I’m starting to develop a complex.
Over 200,000 federal jobs have been lost in Trump's first year in office
Just before Election Day 2025, the U.S. federal government employed approximately 2.3 million people. By the end of the year, it is expected to have shed approximately 213,000 jobs, according to the Partnership for Public Service.

Finally landed an offer
It’s not bad, but it’s nothing special either. Still, after months of searching for alternatives, it feels like a win. And I really, really need to leave Dell behind. This past year has been something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Fingers crossed it works out. I’ll be keeping them crossed for all of you as well. May we all eventually liberate ourselves from the twisted parallel universe Dell has fallen into.
Should I join state street?
I'm told I will get an offer next week. It will be at MD level, in audit. Would I regret it? I have a pretty good setup where I am. Pay would jump a good bit but I would lose my comfort and I don't want to come over if the place is in constant layoff fear. I know how that poisons the culture from a past employer.
A great offer came my way, but I just started my current job
I've only been here for a few months, and a fantastic opportunity at another firm just landed in my lap. With this job market, I know how lucky I am, especially since this is a role I've wanted for years. While my current job is fine, it doesn't compare to this new offer. How bad would it look if I left so soon after joining? Especially long-term on my resume?
Life after BNY
How many of you found jobs after BNY? How long did it take? What roles?
Internal hiring
Does completing four rounds of interviews usually indicate I’m likely to receive an offer for an internal position?
McKinsey Cuts About 200 Tech Jobs, Shifts More Roles To AI
The company isn’t ruling out additional reductions across different functions over the next two years as it ramps up usage of the technology, according to people familiar with the matter. McKinsey is also closely assessing what tasks can be carried out by AI, the people said, declining to be identified as the details are private.

Got a job offer!
I just got a job offer at a company that is actually growing. I’m taking -30k pay cut but it’s better than unemployment.
I am also being assessed for MS and the doom and gloom was contributing to my ms attacks.
If you get a chance to get out, please do it!! It’s not worth your health and sooner or later you will have symptoms.
I consider myself extremely lucky and I wish you all the best in your futures!
It was an honour working with the good people! There are some really talented people working for Dell and you deserve way more than what is currently happening!
God bless! Another Rockstar Out!
Job offer rescinded due to “budgetary constraints”
Anyone know what that means or what it’s code for?
Hiring freeze?
Is there a hiring freeze right now? I applied for two roles and radio silence but I meet most if not all of the requirements and what I do is pretty specific, so I can’t imagine it just being that much competition.
Got a job offer
I recently got a couple job offers that is 100% commission and one that is not 100% commission. I am currently an ASM in a direct store. From what I’ve read the commission for the job I got the offer for is around $80,000-$100,000/year for the first year. Also, I have another offer for a competitor to Verizon in their SMB side. Which on average makes the same as the other job but it isn’t 100% commission. Would you take either one or would you wait and see what happens with Verizon. Not to brag but I have won winner’s circle a couple times as a sales rep for Verizon. (I know asking strangers isn’t the best but it is what it is I’ve been with Verizon for a while and idk what to think)
I work for Siemens EDA as an AEM
And I am receiving tons of applications from Synopsys former and current AEs
Sorry guys....I don't have so many vacants
Telecommuting still allowed ?
https://x.com/JobsNowPR/status/1989406980662804869?s=20
Why is Wells Fargo only taking applications by email for this "senior" engineer position that only requires 2-4 years of experience?
Texas role with telecommuting allowed!
Take the severance or apply for the job
Hello. I have been told I am being laid off and my term date is 6 months away. I work remotely and live in a small town. There is a job in Cargill in the same level I am that I am qualified for. Debating on whether I take the severance (about a years worth) and run or apply for the job and if I get offered it, lose my severance. Has anyone been through something similar? I can’t really start looking for a job outside yet because of my term date being so far in the future. Thanks in advance. I am just really stressing out and not sure what to do
Job Hunting on Dating Apps! (HR Dive, Nov 2025)
A growing number of job seekers are using dating apps like Tinder, Bumble and Facebook Dating to make professional connections amid a tough job market, according to a ResumeBuilder.com survey. One in three dating app users said they used the platforms for career-related reasons in the past year, and nearly one in ten said it was their primary goal.
Among those users, 88% reported successful professional connections, with many gaining mentorship, job leads, interviews, or even job offers. ResumeBuilder’s Chief Career Advisor Stacie Haller explained that as LinkedIn becomes increasingly competitive, dating apps offer a more personal and less formal networking option focused on human connection.
Users across age groups and income levels are experimenting with this approach, with higher earners more likely to use dating apps professionally. Most said they were transparent about their intentions. Some rewrote their dating profiles to resemble resumes, and several reported quick job results.
While some found the approach “weird but effective,” many said it reflects how difficult traditional job hunting has become. Beyond career benefits, 58% of participants also developed romantic relationships through their networking efforts, leading Haller to joke that some are landing both “a job and a relationship.”

Were some people asked to re-interview for their own positions in the last round?
An acquaintance said he was asked to interview for his own position, but he already had something lined up and refused. He was one of the lucky ones who actually wanted to be cut. But is this something that happens? I don’t understand the point of it. I don’t see why he’d lie to me, but I honestly can’t figure out why they’d do that.
Take severance or apply for different positions
I was informed last week that my job was impacted by the layoffs and offered a severance package. Another job came up in the company I could apply for. It is a step down but I’d keep my benefits. Not sure if I should take the severance and run or try for the position…. Any feedback?
What should I do in this situation?
I have an offer in hand (been in the interview process for 3 months now, casually applying and interviewing) and they're asking me to accept the offer by TODAY. The pay isn't that great (not a lot than what I'm making now) but the role is quite interesting.
I am a top performer in my team. Should I take my chances and stay in Verizon? Or do I accept the offer? I DO prefer Verizon but I'm also skpectical about my future here. What would you do?
Should I not leave my current job if I’m offered a position with Cigna?
Since I’m seeing people worried about layoffs, should I decline if a position is offered to me? I had an interview that went well but I don’t want to end up getting sc--wed over by leaving my current company if I am offered a job with Cigna and end up being laid off a few months down the road
"IBM presently has 2,840 job openings in India, 376 in the US"

Job advertised does not mean job available.
I sent out over 100 applications this weekend
There seem to be plenty of openings, though I have heard that a lot of them are just placeholders. I plan to keep doing this every weekend until something finally lands, however long it takes.
SPM vs. DPK
Which site is safer: DPK or SPM? I recently got a job offer for SPM but I’d have to move my family from TX to PA. Thats a huge change considering it’s PA.
How is Collateral Management
I received an offer as a Full-Stack Senior Associate on the Global Collateral Management Platform called access edge. Is this a good platform to work on?
I have a few years of experience as a full-stack engineer but was laid off so I need a job. I found this forum and it scared me a bit.
What salary is typical for a senior associate in PA or FL? I'm able to pick between the two locations. Not sure if my offer is low or I was just expecting more. No mention of a bonus. is there a bonus for senior associate engineers?
Just applied for a new job
Even if nothing comes of it, spending my evening looking and applying for a new job made me feel like I was taking some control of the situation.
Good luck tomorrow everyone!
Wells Fargo warns of more layoffs amid ongoing job cuts
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wells-fargo-warns-more-layoffs-203919733.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall
Wells Fargo has cut staff every quarter for the last five years. Its headcount of 210,821 declined 1% from the end of the second quarter and is down 4% from Sept. 30 of last year.
The CEO said the company has instead become more efficient.
“This was not driven by business sales or outsourcing but, in fact, real improvement in our efficiency,” CEO Charlie Scharf told investors on the bank’s earnings call. “We’ve also significantly reduced how much we spend on professional and outside services as well as non-branch real estate.”
Exact numbers of people who will lose their jobs were not shared.
Decide whether to leave or stay?
I work as a support engineer in Business Intelligence and have already been affected by recent layoffs in my team. Currently, there is no growth in our team; it feels saturated.
I received a job offer from a midsize company for a position as a junior tech project manager. However, this position comes with a 20% pay cut and does not involve support work. I'm considering whether I should leave Oracle and take this opportunity, especially since I'm concerned about the possibility of more layoffs. Feedback?
Advice Needed
I am in the final round of interviews with Anthem and feel good about getting the job. However I’m in final round interviews with a smaller company that I think will have lower pay. For those of you who work there, is Anthem a good choice?
Not sure what to do
I started my career late in life. Been here for 5+ years. I was offered another position with another company. Unfortunately this company has layoffs like many others in our sector. Not sure if I should accept it or just remain here. If you had the change to move on would you? Or would you remain here due to the amount of time you've put in? Also, pay and benefits are about the same.
Has anyone received an offer since the govt shutdown (Oct 1st)?
Curious if anyone has received any job offers since the government shutdown and federal background checks went offline two weeks ago?
