CIU

Has anyone had experience with having a meeting with the compliance investigation unit that can give me insight? We’ve had several on our team go through these meetings and end up fired due to our previous manager and it is making our region very nervous. A lot of it is due to changes in leadership and different preferences for documentation. The previous manager that has now left was…. special to say the least. Should those of us with these meetings be worried and start job searching?

Can somebody please tell me what's the rule of 75?

Heard it mention in regards to layoffs and I have no idea what it could be. Google says it has something to do with revenue growth rate and profit margin but that makes no sense whatsoever. And in case it's not obvious, I'm relatively new here (just under a year).

Check your 401k holdings...

I missed the communication that all my well-performing mutual funds would be mapped to a couple of ETFs, a target date fund and a generic bond fund. My well diversified portfolio that's averaged 12% annually, wiped clean by the geniuses running this ship like it's the Titanic. No more individual fund choices unless you go with the self directed brokerage account option, which I will be doing.

Nearly $500k between me and my spouse completely trashed by the geniuses on the 10th floor.

Manager Toxic Tactics

So we have someone new joining our team and ever since they joined they have been on my a$$ to know how I do what I do.

While I understand the enthusiasm, I feel my manager is purposely bringing such individuals in the team (the latest being the second person) who seem to be "teachers pets", more noise for less work kind of person.
And I can tell they're someone who just wants to "have their signature" in everything that happens around.

PS: These new members are in same region as my snake of a manager.

Should I be worried???

Am I training my replacement?

I don't have enough work to stay busy as it is, but management has now instructed me to train a new hire to do my exact job. I'm the only one in this specific role on my team. Am I just being paranoid, or does this sound like I'm training my own replacement for an upcoming layoff?

What I’m most grateful for

Not having to work for the hollowed out dead shell of a once great company.

Not having to act like the id--t leaders in tech have a clue as to what they are doing.

Not having to work with unethical, trashy, leaders in tech.

Not having to pretend that Nike is still cool.

Not having to endure the toxic political culture.

May god help all of you out of that sewer.

If you sale your soul to ruin other lives

What’s the point of anything?

Did this post somehow catch your eye?

Is it making you stop to think? Feeling the need to comment?

Does it resonate with you some way?

Moral compromises?

Are you lying to yourself?

Deep down, gut feeling, do you know you are doing something wrong?

No fear of what is to come next?

Remember we are but a blip on the timeline.

Looks like you made it this far.

Maybe this post is the reminder or push you need to turn around your soul rot.

Is your soul rotting at U.S. Bank?

It doesn’t feel like Christmas

I should be excited about the holiday, but I can't stop worrying. Knowing more layoffs are coming, knowing they could announce them any day now… It's hard to feel any festive spirit when you're waiting for that kind of news. This whole situation just feels so wrong.

I’m really worried about Ford at this point

The people who could actually make a difference are the ones being let go, while executives keep making the same mistakes and rewarding themselves. The board should be stepping in, but it feels like no one’s paying attention. It’s exhausting to watch a company with so much potential get mishandled over and over.
