What are you making of this statement from Takis? I was initially expecting an other round of two of layoffs in October/November. Wasn’t sure what to expect now in light of his statements.

Another round over, and I'm still here
I honestly can't decide if that's a good or a bad thing.
BofA - Blue Square Alliance
Why hasn’t the bank posted support for the Blue Square Alliance recently? Did something change???
More layoffs on September 17th
No clue who is getting the axe but they have already happened. We will find out later today. It’s never ending. They lie to our faces every time.
Takis mentioned promotions are happening this year but we don’t see that in Tech FIG
Takis mentioned promotions are there this year but Tech FIG hugely impacted this year no merit or Promotion cycles despite of many concerns raised to Sr Leadership! Looks like FIG co head blocked that and Takis isn’t aware?
Layoff
22 home triage nurses fired today. Still no update on when or what is happening with Optum Rhinebeck. Supervisors get very angry when asked about it, and don't understand why people are looking elsewhere. How long are they going to string us along.
How much value we losing today?
A little or a lot?
On this board
Large number of people are not criticizing layoffs. There is very little lament, or for that matter - very little anger...
What I see here is MANY Citi employees just asking whether we can stop anticipating layoffs, whether a meeting means something, and whether this or that area is next.
That's a sad place to be at. I feel defeated.
What's going on here?
The job market has never been worse. Wherever I apply, I don't hear a word back. Even the automated rejection emails seem to be a thing of the past. What the he-l is going on? I luckily still have a job, but what are folks who were just laid off supposed to do?
I can't figure out the criteria
I've made it through at least six layoffs now, and all of them left me scratching my head. All the rounds didn't seem to follow any obvious pattern. There were people with years of experience who disappeared, while others I expected to be vulnerable stayed. But then again, some of the newbies were also gone. Different pays, different statuses, different ratings... No common ground whatsoever.
Layoffs are never ending
You get through one round of cuts and immediately start wondering when the next one will happen. There's never enough time between layoffs to actually feel secure. This is our reality.
Normal Behavior?
is it normal behavior for a director level POS to run around telling people they are jealous of a higher ranking person who has an office?
Severance Pay
I hope people impacted by the September layoffs are doing okay and will be back on their feet soon.
If you were one of them, what severance pay did the HR offer you?
Are US Layoffs Over For Now?
I'm curious if US layoffs are still ongoing this week but at a smaller scale than they were on Monday. I ask cause I know people who got RSU vesting notices for the 15th 3 days before vesting, but have not gotten notices for other upcoming RSU vesting dates. Makes me wonder if that is an indicator of further layoffs?
Can someone just buy this company already
I have been here long enough and I’m done! This place is past fixing. Nobody is even trying to save the sinking ship and the CEO is MIA.
Is it just me thinking like this?
Looks like really reached the bottom? Somehow it feels like it's hard to sink any futher.
AI SLOP CENTRAL
What is the end goal to end up jobless?
Is there a contingency plan once AI fails?
Why are you so eager to give up all effort and critical thinking to AI. You people are useless pushing this cr-p. SRX is the worst thing to happen to Omnicom. Clanker wa-kers.
New Bi Weekly Payroll for Store Managers
I did not really understand why they were making this move with store managers pay going from once a month to bi-weekly. Now I understand it they just figured out a way to sc--w your pay to their benefit.
Zero Trust in management
There are many examples of mis-management. Let’s list them out.
I don't understand the decisions anymore
Some of the choices coming from management are genuinely hard to understand. I've worked in this industry for years and I've never felt this disconnected from the people making the decisions.
When did Schwab start underpaying people?
I've been talking to some of the newer hires, and frankly, it's almost disgraceful what they're being paid. My pay is the one thing I have always been satisfied with here, so I feel so bad for them.
As an additional note, talk about pay with your coworkers. Legally they can't stop you, and it can be very eye opening.
Did anybody who wanted to be cut get cut?
All the people I know who are affected are devastated.
District 130 Faces Backlash Over Custodial Layoffs
Teachers, parents, and former custodians voiced strong opposition to District 130's recent decision to lay off its custodial staff and hire a new contractor. Concerns were raised about deteriorating school conditions, including reports of unsanitary facilities and pest issues. Community members pleaded with the school board to reverse the decision, citing risks to student health and safety. Board members defended their actions, stating that cleanliness issues predated the contractor change and that staffing delays are due to background checks. Despite the board's defense, critics remain disheartened and vow to continue their efforts.

Does anybody still actually like this place?
Or their job? Or are we all on the hate train by now?
What is the most stressful part about working here for you?
For me it's the ever-present threat of layoffs. Everything else I can take.
How many restructurings do we need?
They seem to be never-ending. You'd think one of them would achieve something instead of just usher in another one.
Does anybody know what criteria is being used for layoffs?
I know it's not just performance, considering the people we lost. But what is?
Nothing to brag about anymore
There was a time when I would've defended this place without thinking twice. These days, I keep wondering what happened to the standards we used to have. So many decisions are difficult to understand that it's getting harder to take any pride in the place. I don't know how much longer this can continue.
I don't know how we got here
I used to feel good telling people where I worked. Now I find myself avoiding the subject because I'm embarrassed by what this place has become.
I used to have a lot of good things to say about Fiserv
But now the workload has became ridiculous and I no longer feel like anyone is listening when I raise concerns about it. The culture has also deteriorated drastically, to the point where it's unrecognizable. Such a shame how much this place changed.
Why are we hiring?
Can somebody please explain to me why we have so many job openings when so many people are being shown the door? Make it make sense.
Connect with me program
Anyone heard of it? I talked to someone and they are meeting with folks from different departments to learn anout whay the departmentdoes. I never heard of it. Is this a program for folks that are about to get laid off but have no clue?
Are there really ALWAYS layoffs every other Tuesday?
I'm new, and it's pretty shocking to me that people are so used to layoffs every other week. Is it really happening so often?
