The talent exodus says it all

Who is getting laid off in your area?

My business unit has seen pretty regular layoffs the last 12 months.. There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to who is getting selected. Sometimes it is a small team of 3-4,, while other times it is just an individual contributor or manager... — read more

Is the No Internal Promotions a fake policy?

Last year, State Street made an announcement that there are no more inline promotions (internal promotions) for current VPs and AVPs workers. But I still see some people getting promoted. I don't mind people getting promoted but it's I find it unfair... — read more

Vacating Channel Center Building

There are rumors that State Street will vacate its Channel Center Building in Boston by the end of this year and move its occupants elsewhere. Do you have any info about when it could happen and if it is related to future layoffs?

I could use some advice

I really want to leave State Street, and I just got a good offer with solid pay and benefits. The catch is, the new company had layoffs a few months ago. From what I can tell, layoffs aren’t common there, but it still makes me nervous. How risky is... — read more

Anybody else disappointed they were not laid off?

As long as severance is half-decent, it feels like we're at a point where getting let go might actually be better than staying. Especially if you're on a team that's been hit, since now you're just expected to take on even more work with zero reward... — read more

GA Got Hit Today

Just got the word two of my teammates got the pink slip this morning.

State street

State street is a joke of a company. Financial reporting leaders are always acting like it’s not their fault. India workers can’t do anything. Pathetic

Record year profits only 3% bonus

And no raises working in the division that makes bulk of the company's revenues. The joke went from comedy to tragedy really quick.
