Pinnacle Award
Hey, here’s an idea! How about we stop giving the pinnacle award to the same people year after year?! This is a massive expense for the company just to send the same people on a weeklong vacation every year.. and it’s terrible for morale. Why are they not checking the reports for previous years to see who has already received this? At the very least they should have a five-year waiting period before they could be nominated again… but to send them just about every single year is very frustrating, incredibly unfair, and lazy on the part of senior leadership responsible for selecting the pinnacle winners.

The budgets are in. Salary increases are unimpressive. RSU allotments are a complete joke. Don't worry, though, the least inspiring CEO of all time is getting paid plenty for his tip-top layoff skills.

What if.....
What if you were told, "we are going to lay you off, should have been done already, but we have too much work at the moment. So, we need you here to do the work then we will lay you off."
This has actually happened in Tech under BT's watch.
The question is, would you put in 100% and do your best, or would you say "scr3w it, I'm marking my time since they don't want me"?
I think I'd be in the latter group. Having been told that is extremely harsh and super bad for morale. (although I don't think they care about morale)
What about the co-workers? How do you even face each other knowing the axe is hanging above heads?
The misery machine
This is the most miserable and unpleasant workforce I have witnessed in my career; Mckinsey's magnum opus of misery is the hallmark and extent of attention RV has given BNY culture.
If you stay long enough at BNY you will become ghouls like our execs. Some of these fallen humans are sitting around you now, you can see the vacant look in their eyes.
If you are outside this company and read this board, don't even entertain the idea of working here... heed this warning from someone that bought into their bullsh*t

How confidence inducing
Fiserv below $50/share with Mike incompetent
Fiserv will dip below $50/share next week given horrible execution, bad employee morale, and irresponsible management incentives. Mike will take tens of millions of dollar home. Leaving shareholders holding the bag. Mike has promised no lay off, but now lay off is a routine feature. Mike has never bought a single share of our stock in the open market.
This ship called Fiserv, is going to zero.
Intel has changed so much
After they cut so many people, the team dynamics are completely different. Nobody really collaborates anymore, everyone just sticks to their own stuff, at least in my area. The shared ownership we used to have is gone. It's changed how we all interact and not for the better. It's just a completely different company these days.
Not convinced high oil prices help us any

Another Monday approaching
Another week with almost no communication from leadership, just nonstop guessing and speculation about what’s coming next. I’m so tired of this. I’d honestly pay good money for leadership that respects its people enough to just tell the truth, even when it’s not what we want to hear.
The atmosphere here after all those cuts is awful
Communication has gotten so limited and people are constantly watching their backs. Nobody wants to stick their neck out or help anyone else anymore, mostly because everybody is worried they're giving somebody else advantage before more cuts. This isn't the same workplace it used to be at all.
Layoffs are far from our only issue
The direction here changes every few months, so how are you supposed to feel confident about anything long term? Teams keep starting initiatives that never go anywhere before the next priority shift. That lack of consistency is ki-ling morale more than leadership realizes.
All this is incredibly depressing
We're on a sinking ship, and options out there are almost non-existent. A colleague who was let go almost a year ago is still looking for a decent job. I started panicking a while back, so I started looking while I'm still here. Given that I've probably been less dedicated than if I were jobless, it's still been a horrible experience. It just made me more desperate. I hope this is just my story. Otherwise, we're sc--wed.
I hope at least they wrap this round fast
We really need some break between batches. It's constant anxiety, always expecting the axe to fall. A guessing game because they never tell us what's coming or when. Then peak stress around the start days, of course not knowing when it'll end. It’s impossible to function like this. The toll on health is huge.

I remember when being at Dell felt genuinely prestigious there was energy, momentum, and a strong sense of identity. Lately, it feels different. More like going through the motions than being part of something special.

This will haunt FIS for years to come
This is so messed up and it's going to cost us so much in the long run. So much knowledge is about to walk out the door and there's no real plan on how to mitigate it. There's also loss in reputation and resentment from people who were transferred against their wishes. Bad decisions all around.
The talent pool has dried up
Fiserv used to have its pick of top candidates. Now the pay and benefits are so poor that only the people who can't get hired elsewhere will take jobs here. Half the workforce is undervalued and it shows in the quality of new hires.
Lack of basics in MSP location
You'd think that when the big wigs demand RTO, they'd at least supply you with the basics in the office.
No plates in the dining area for a week now, but the corporate propaganda "Our values" banner is flying proudly
When does this stop?
The constant fear of layoffs has ruined my weekends. I'm not even happy it's Friday, since I spend the whole time dreading Monday morning. I need to know if we'll ever get back to a normal work environment without this constant stress hanging over us. Enough is enough.
What Gets Ignored vs What Gets Noticed — Real Issues at Belk, But the ‘Doom’ Talk Isn’t Helping
There are legitimate, known concerns about how the company is being run—especially with investors focused on squeezing profitability. That part is real, and employees feel it every day.
I’ve been at Belk a long time. I’ve seen it at its best—and now I’m seeing it at its worst.
I want the company to survive, but I’m not going to pretend the current decisions aren’t damaging its reputation.
But turning every conversation into “the sky is falling” doesn’t make it more true. It just makes it harder to have a real, useful conversation. You can even see it in the voting—neutral or positive comments get buried, while the most negative ones get pushed to the top.
And let’s be honest—there’s a good chance people on the corporate side, and even investors, read sites like this to get a sense of what’s happening at store level. Some comments probably get attention and spark real conversations. Others get ignored because they read like venting instead of something worth acting on.
At a certain point, it becomes predictable. You can walk into a store and spot that same negativity within minutes—the groups standing around, the constant complaining, the lack of focus. And it wouldn’t be surprising if that same tone carries over into conversations with customers.
At the same time, Belk is putting millions into revamping the Rewards+ program. That alone should tell you this isn’t some “Belk is about to close any day now” situation.
Where it falls apart is everything happening alongside that—cutting hours during peak times, pushing associates to chase perfect NPS scores, things like that. It makes it a lot harder for any of these investments to actually work.
The bigger issue is who’s really in control. When investors are driving everything, the focus turns into short-term results at all costs. And right now, it’s hard to see how that shifts enough to stop it from hurting the business long term.
That’s the Spirit
Lowe’s delivers appliance in Region 6 with a third party disaster known as Spirit. Nothing but a bunch of illegals that are apathetic, lazy pos, that play the language barrier card when they damage your appliances, floors, walls, doorways etc. They show up late, unprepared and untrained. Corporate Lowes doesn’t give a rats a-s about complaints, as long as they save paying in house drivers a decent wage and benefits. Everyone needs to purchase elsewhere. Fck Lowes!
STS morale
How is the morale? It feels like rock bottom here in Denver. All the leaders in TX and completely disconnected from the business and staff.
Is there any org thats even half decent?
It used to feel the infrastructure, CTO architecture are the main incompetent organization. Now its all over in every LOB.
I feel little awkward
The atmosphere at Oracle right now is honestly exhausting. It feels like everyone’s on edge all the time—you can’t even go grab coffee or step into the bathroom without overhearing someone talking about layoffs. It’s nonstop.
I kind of regret bringing it up to my manager. I thought I’d get some clarity, but it was just the usual vague “our org might be impacted” answer. Now I’m overthinking it, like did I just make myself look anxious or put a target on my back? I hate that I even opened that door.
And honestly, we’ve all seen how this goes. They’ll use this as a reason to freeze raises, skip promos, no stock refreshes, and then expect the same people to pick up all the extra work afterward. It’s hard not to feel cynical about it at this point.
Even if I make it through, I don’t know how much longer I want to stay. I’ve been a top performer for six years and it’s been… fine, I guess? But not in a way that makes me feel secure or valued. And now with all this going on, it just makes everything feel kind of pointless.
Also, the whole AI push here feels so surface-level. I’ve been working on my own stuff outside of work, so I’m actually interested in it, but internally it just feels like teams are scrambling to throw together basic agents so they can say they’re “doing AI.” We don’t even have the data to do anything meaningful. It’s frustrating to watch.
I hope I'm on the list this time
I just can't do this anymore. I'd take anything else at this point, even something that pays less. I know the market is rough, I know the odds. But I've got savings, severance would buy me some time, and I'll figure it out. There will be other jobs. Putting aside the constant uncertainty and the overall sense of decline, both of which have been deeply demoralizing, I think I'm just personally burnt out. Not the best time for a major change, but it is what it is.
This Cognizant move has been one of the worst
I can imagine how everyone feels, especially the veterans. I'm still here, but it doesn't really matter, does it? They can drop more of this on us anytime. We're being betrayed by a company so many of us have given years to. I'm saying this knowing I might get ridiculed. And I know, on an intellectual level, that this is how things work. But as a human being and a professional, I feel we are being betrayed.
Cool that we're being told nothing
I mean, it doesn’t make sense even from a leadership’s purely selfish perspective. Surely productivity has been suffering with all of us on edge all the time and completely demoralized?
New PTO guidelines
Rumors are that PTO and SICK time are getting merged into one pile with a max of 160 hours. Go over 160 and expect a call from management explaining why you are taking more hours than approved. What a demoralizing situation...
Can we breathe yet?
Has the latest round definitely wrapped up? I'm hoping we can get back to normal work without constantly wondering who is next.
Optum is such a mess
It's too much expecting things to improve when it's not just one thing, it's everything. Change the leadership, but if we still have the outdated systems, the processes that require I jump through fifteen hoops to get something done, and the nonexistent morale among the employees, thing will hardly improve. This place needs a major overhaul, top to bottom.
And now we wait for the next round
No rest, no relaxation, no relief...now we start figuring out when the next round will happen because we all know there'll be a next round. I hate it here.
Disgusting “leadership”
From time to time I feel disgusted reporting to the current management structure. Unmotivated, blame shifting, self-important, lacking basic manners in communication and the list goes on and on.
