I’ve watched good people suddenly get nitpicked to death, with every small mistake magnified and every project second guessed until they finally give up and leave. It always feels personal, not professional. Nobody turns from an exemplary employee into a bad one overnight, even though management sometimes tries to make it seem that way. I’ll be honest, I’ve been walking on eggshells to avoid the same thing happening to me.

How to stroke your boss'es ego?
Need tips.
Am I the only one who still likes working here?
Layoffs are something that happens everywhere, we're not special in that regard. And I still think this is a decent job if you're lucky to have a good team and a good manager. Just my 2 cents.
How they can get so many things wrong is beyond me
If management had to spend even a single week working under the same strict rules they’re pushing on us, they’d see how unrealistic and counterproductive they are. It’s easy to make policies from an office far away, but when you’re the one dealing with constant pressure and impossible targets, those rules just don’t hold up. Maybe if the people making these decisions actually experienced them firsthand, they’d think twice before rolling them out.
WWE Staff Layoffs Took Place This Week

What happened to retaining talent?
Thats all the state yet all i see is hood , knowledgeable people being let go and the clueless ones kept. What in the actual f-k is this placing thinking and how do they think this is the smart way to do business. Lets run the company into the ground while we make millions looking down on people
Google does ? How about Oracle ?

Leadership
Hi all. My partner works in design and I’ve been hearing stories about leadership and making his job harder. Just curious-who is responsible for leadership? Who’s making sure they are doing a good job?
What to do with snake managers?
My manager has been "dangling the carrot" at me ever since I joined.
Asking me to burn midnight oil and be an expert, which I have done so and received so much appreciation from individual team members.
Yet no recognition from my manager, no rewards, no promotion chat, no bonus or compensation.
On top of all that, I can clearly see I am not been given opportunities to present, I am doing all the hard work and this snake of a manager always chooses someone else to present the work I DID, that is because that person is in the same region as my manager.
Is this a normal thing at fidelity??? I thought this used to be a place where success is being celebrated, recognized.
Or is it just another toxic tactic for pushing colocation agenda????
Corporate “Prophet”
This was done solely for profit. In a time of a weak job market, aggressive inflation, and the dawn of AI, they just crushed people’s lives for money. At a recent summer regional, Penny stated a few times, “over my dead body will this place be sold”. When you have to be that declarative, then you know the field and home office no longer trust you. She is the female version of Andy Sieg. She also stated she is rewriting the Partnership. To change the required age of MP retirement? Perhaps we have a dictator on our hands. Perhaps to change the by-laws to make it easier to sell? She has hired inexperienced EJ leaders for her ELT…external hires, in a sense creating a board of directors. And when she sells, guess what? The GPs get the premium or excess paid for the equity…you as a LP will only get your capital back. Reminds me of 2008 with another proud St. Louis institution - Anheuser Busch. August the 4th was incompetent Iike Penny and he too “invited the barbarians in the gate” meaning the executives from InBev which allowed them to plan the takeover.
So thank you heir dictator you truly are a “penny stock” - you bring little to no value and come with many disclaimers.
Manager Notification for Upcoming Layoffs
Could you please clarify which level of management is informed in advance about upcoming layoffs within their teams?
Overpaid managers ki-led Intel
Salaries should be reduced by 80%, until Intel becomes profitable. Managers must take one for the team.

35% of managers overseeing small teams gone
- A Google executive told employees last week that in the past year, the company has gotten rid of a third of its managers overseeing small teams.
- “We have to be more efficient as we scale up so we don’t solve everything with headcount,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai said at a town hall meeting.
- Asked about the buyouts, executives at the meeting said that a total of 10 product areas have presented “Voluntary Exit Program” offers.

Internal Source - Caught
The working theory is that our “leaker” was caught and no longer with us.
I hope that someone will step up and take their place.
Real news on RIFs
This site used to have good information related to coming layoffs. Now all it seems to have is people complaining about upper management and/RTO. Sadly, the site is becoming more irrelevant as time passes.
So I will try one more time. Does anyone have any REAL intell on coming layoffs?

High earners are always targets
If your paycheck is bigger than most, brace yourself. Management doesn’t care about loyalty. They’ll cut the highest-paid first without blinking. It’s frustrating, unfair, and exhausting. Keep your resume ready and don’t kid yourself thinking it won’t happen to you.
Fidelity wins
I’m leaving the industry because of my manager. I have discussed this with my spouse and I cannot take the new culture. I went through all the channels listed in the annual hr trainings and haven’t noticed a positive difference with my manager. I’m a top performer in my department and keep my head down, I’m a low level employee so my mental health is more important.
Manager
Hello,
I recently started at Wells Fargo working at a local branch in Florida, but have come to realize why the position was offered to me so quickly after one interview. I have a narcissistic female manager who doesn’t realize she is the problem and reason why everyone keeps quitting this location. I didn’t notice this at first, she hides it well but now that I’ve caught on I am already in the process of interviewing on all of my off days once again. This woman is off her rocker and barely speaks English fluently. Wells Fargo hires complete trash.
I will keep you posted.
Why is claims such a s%#{ show?
This is my third carrier in 10 years and by far the most clueless organization I’ve ever been part of. Too many of the tenured managers don’t care anymore and that seems to be problem 1. Best of luck to those who remain. 2 years has been enough for me.
Associate directors and managers need to start being held accountable in SNP
HCMs can’t take off work for anything but we have managers and ADs who are taking off every week for any opportunity- either blaming sickness or other endeavors and are not available when needed. The work life balance is not there. Maria J needs to pay more attention as a director before she loses her best performing HCMs
23 year old managers making 105-125k
Did you know the development program “analysts” start out of the program around 120k compensation in their first full time role?
Do you think this is fair given their tenure and experience?
Does Oracle pay for your unused vacations
Oracle has unlimited vacation policy on manager discretion. But I noticed managers ensure employee doesn’t take vacations often beyond 2-3 weeks per year. So what happens to those unused vacations on your layoff? Is it wise to take vacations before expected announcements?
More senior level execs jumping ship
Another senior exec jumping ship and leaving the company. Do they know something we don’t?
Any Lower-Mid Manager Affected?
There was a lot of hype here about how the entire mid-management layers would be obliterated in this recent LR. Some of us expressed disbelief . Like clockwork, I don’t see any evidence of that at least in tech presales. Our total waste-of-space managers in the U.K. market are swaggering around with big smiles on their faces. So much for the rumour mongering.
Upstream Horizon Or just asleep at the Wheel
We keep hearing about the horizon path in the mid 2030 when our production falls off a cliff. Love how our management are spinning this as a great new toy vs the fact that they were asleep at the wheel and didn’t think about where the next Guyana, PNG, Canada, Qatar is coming from. This is going to be a a show esp as we can’t negotiate and we are divesting all of our exploration teams
Indirect Account Managers coming back
Hearing it will be Q3/Q4
Senior dictatorship
This company is top heavy with unqualified leadership. People who earned their way to their positions not due to skill, but rather someone liked them. These are the very same people who continue to make poor business decisions. Can you believe the HR director left? What will happen to the unqualified “HR” managers? Many stemming from uneducated positions now working in Human interaction positions.
Here’s a tip: look at your highest generating RAC locations-those locations should have the most qualified HR managers. Not a payroll clerk now glorified as a senior HR business partner. lol !
You can’t make this insanity up.
Hess folks competing in round 2?
I see new manager roles that have two to four roles that report up to them. Is this because Hess staff are coming in and not in scope in round 2?
Director in QA says pick up FCS build you will find plenty of bugs
Very discouraging , disgusting behavior
When will they admit it?
Do we think the higher ups will ever admit implementing WRS this heavily into roles is a mess up? We've seen higher delays, less communication, when is enough??
Workloads are out of control and no one cares
Management keeps praising people who push endless tasks onto others instead of fixing the problem. The same few employees get buried in extra work while leaders act like that is normal. Someone needs to take a hard look at how this place is being run, and I mean now.
Offshore managers are awful to work with
Long story short, I've about had it to my wits end with my offshore manager who I got reassigned to late last year. I am only a small minority on my team that's based in the USA. I get little to no support from my manager, they blatantly ignore slacking coworkers or instances of offshore team members HEAVILY inflating their task estimates or coming up with bs excuses every day when asked about progress on their work. I don't think I've seen them ever meet a single deadline without pushing everything in the backlog onto the USA devs. Manager is too passive and seems content with letting the US workers get walked all over. Why the f*** are they being put into managerial positions over US workers????
WTF is my performance plan? Have they forgot or don't care.
I am still waiting for my dpc plan. I asked again and was told they were working on it. Everyone else is doing theirs now and are 2 weeks into it. Either exxon doesn't care or they are letting me fail purposely. I would like to see what the he-l they want me to do. I really want to improve my performance and be a more valuable employee to the company NOT. I just to get this s heet over with and see what torture they have planned for me. Is anyone else still waiting?
Rename ELT to EMT
There is no Leadership here. Just Management and plenty of poor of it. They oughta start calling these aholes EMT and not insult what a leader should be
RTO 4 days sept
So I work in Everett and we are being told 4 days a week will occur for some time now it's fine I get it. I am on a specific client so I am in a certain secluded area, what I do not get is there is now being asked to return on specific days per person. I wasn't in office when asked due to vacation so my slotted days are just being demanded upon me. There is not enough desks where I am now for what we have in terms of my team at 3 days a week and Managers at 4, How are we going to cram Boston people here too. My manager claims they are getting a new section for us or an additional section with seats but like anything here it was false promises. This place is so terribly ran Site wise I am amazed the little ground hog that runs around here has a job still.
‘Technology’ this week
Heard a couple of Sr. Managers gone today.
Ulf’s org is the flavor of the week.
Sperry Northbelt Layoffs
Some very senior managers laid off and are now looking for work as "engineers." Damn, those id--ts don't know the first thing about engineering. They've been milking the system for years. Best of luck finding a job, I suggest applying at McDonald's. Actually, lets not insult MacDonald's.
