excuse to lay off people
how long were you there before you were laid off?
less than a year would be crazy
Laying off Canadians while bringing foreigners to replace
Makes sense right? Indians, Malaysians, and mo----------g Americans. Expats and temporary. I bet their visa application indicates “specialized” roles no one in the company can perform. No sh•t, the company laid them off to maximize money laundering and siphoning billing to overseas.
Operations layoffs?
I heard they were layoffs in operations this month. Anyone have any information?
Is it 30000 net new layoffs? Or 16000 to complete 14000?
Layoffs in May too, right?
Now that's layoffship in 2026!
Rationally, I know I should want to survive the coming layoffs
It's brutally hard to find another job. I've been trying for a while and can attest to that. With most of us constantly on the brink of financial ruin and costs only rising, the fear is real. But this time, I'm not anxious about losing my job. I'm just exhausted and completely burnt out. It's probably time to move on, and if they cut the cord, it would almost make it easier.
Getting laid off might be a relief
I'd be happy to finally put this sh-t show in the rearview mirror.
You can exceed all your goals and still lose your job
How many times have we seen that already? Being good at your job just puts a target on your back. They don't want good, they want cheap.
SC + Tech impacts announced
Read the message. Workforce reduction incoming fast. I bet announcing now so recognize the layoffs in current fiscal. No waiting long on this one. Good vibes to all
If your director suddenly cancelled morning meetings your org is in the cut line.
If your director cancelled morning meetings today your org is in the receiving end of the layoffs.
How are we looking on layoffs?
Any news?
Why isn’t Cigna posting WARN notices?
Companies are requires to give 60 days notice if they’re going to lay off 50+ people. The only way to get around this is to lay off in smaller numbers or spread layoffs across different locations.
Since the Cigna is doing mass layoffs, it seems likely that more than 50 people will be laid off per location.
So why haven’t we seen any WARN notices?
Layoffs at corporate
- Eddie Bauer has laid off marketing and creative teams in Seattle.
- Eddie Bauer's parent company is transitioning product development to licensee Oved.
- The Seattle office employed approximately 88 workers as of Jan. 1.

Lay me off!!!
Please! Release me from my misery!! I've been trying to leave on my own but no luck so far. Give me my safety net and kick me out, I'll thank you on my way out.
Brandon Research and Development Centre layoffs
The federal government’s plan to reduce the size of the public service is expected to affect employees at the Brandon Research and Development Centre, Agriculture Union’s president told the Sun.

My exit could save a job
Since I'm leaving next month regardless (which nobody needs to know yet, of course), I'd gladly take the layoff package if it meant preventing a cut for a coworker who depends on this income. The management should offer a voluntary option, especially since I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd gladly take it.
Age as a layoff factor
From the last few rounds, I'm getting the strong impression that if you're in your late 40s or 50s, your job is at extreme risk here. Please correct me if I'm wrong since I've been known to be paranoid before, but I think the pattern in the cuts is really hard to ignore.
Time to plan an exit
I like my actual work, but the company's direction is undeniably bad. I think it's time to accept that Target is failing and seriously start looking for a new job before it's too late.
Layoffs
Anybody else shocked it's nearly the end of January and we're yet to see any layoffs this year? I know something might be coming soon, but still. I got so used to constant layoffs that this reprieve seems like a miracle in itself.
Does anyone know how those impacted by the 1/29 layoffs will be notified?
Is it an email notice sent the day of 1/29? Is it a scheduled meeting? If so, how far in advance do your receive the meeting invite and what is the subject title? Who is on the call? HR? Your manager? How have folks been notified in the past?
Did layoff . com remove posts that were very critical of transunion post November layoffs?
I see several of the posts critical of nuestar are removed
The burnout is complete
The non-stop layoff drama has led to my complete emotional detachment. I don't want to lose my job, but I also can't bring myself to feel the stress I used to. It's not normal, but it's a strange kind of relief.
Even more layoffs at West Des Moines campus
Wells Fargo has announced another round of layoffs in Iowa, affecting 33 employees at the company's Jordan Creek Campus in West Des Moines, with the changes taking effect on March 20.

Any rumors about layoffs?
Are there any latest rumors about layoffs?
"How We Work" letters - what's the timeline after a decline to move?
If I decline to move, any ideas on what the timeline looks like to get the official layoff notice? I hear that puts me on "the list" but I'm more curious what that means for timeline / budget purposes. I want to find a new job, but I want to do it in the right order.
Thanks!
To take an offer or wait for a package?
I have a job offer to escape this place, but it's not ideal. If layoffs are definitely coming soon, I might wait it out for the severance and look for something better. Any solid info on timing?
Boston Health Care for Homeless
Stan McLaren, CEO of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, resigned in mid-December. His departure followed internal dissent over staff layoffs and mission concerns. The nonprofit laid off 25 people and closed a 20-bed medical respite facility. These actions were taken as the organization faces significant Medicaid funding cuts. Dr. Denise De Las Nueces, the chief medical officer, is now serving as interim CEO.

I hate it at Dell and I wish they'd put me out of my misery!
Currently in the process of getting managed out. I was told that there are 150 people that have all been put on performance plans. Meet a certain % of plan by end of Q or be put on an official. I would take any package if offered. Every day is like an episode of a reality show. Some made up loss that needs to be made up for. High stress, no money.
Thus is probably a week they announce more layoffs
Kate always likes to do it around the end of a month so they can avoid paying benefits to those RIFed for another month. Have to save money for the next friend of hers to hire for a senior level role, or the next Brene Brown boondoggle training.
Worried about layoffs?
You're not powerless. You can certainly fight back.
The whole point of the layoffs are to keep the already struggling Cigna stock value up. The goal of this is to please investors and because the CEO, David Cordani, is payed mostly in stocks (no really, look it up on the SEC website).
If you are an employee you might have a 401k. A 401k is a collection of stocks used for retirement. Your 401k likely has at least one fund invested mostly in Cigna stock. When you are layed off, or maybe even before, transfer those Cigna funds to something else/better. Your retirement account will be better invested and you have undone any stock benefit of them laying you off.
Post Review Layoffs
Are more layoffs expected to come post annual reviews in February?
And Again the Layoffs Occur
This company is in a constant state of laying people off. Shipping jobs now to India. That will evidently solve all of their problems.
Nice job in giving jobs to another country. You sure your customers will be ok with that especially knowing your pal is the one you’re doing business with? Conflict of interest I would say.
We know what is going on and what goes around comes around.
Lights Out in Raleigh?
Hi! Driving by last weekend and saw that the Allscripts sign isn't on the Raleigh office. Didn't see an Altera (or whatever it's called now) sign either. Is there a Raleigh office? I left voluntarily a few years ago and was wondering if the place is still open. Thanks!
Renova Energy Acquisition Leads to Employee Layoffs
Investor-backed Mycrogrid is acquiring Renova Energy. Layoff notices were issued to 20 to 30 employees. The company had furloughed over 300 staff members in 2024. Vincent Battaglia, Renova Energy's CEO, also leads Mycrogrid. Mycrogrid anticipates reopening in April with new positions.

GM Kansas City Plant to Produce New Buick
General Motors' Fairfax Kansas City Plant will produce a new Buick model. Production of the compact Buick is set to begin in 2028. The plant also builds the Chevrolet Bolt EV and will add the Equinox. However, 900 workers at the facility are currently on indefinite layoff. UAW Local 31 prioritizes getting all affected employees back to work.
Americans have better work ethics and resilience
Cisco needs to crack down on poor performance and do another massive layoff. If you can’t pull your weight, then you got to go.
Layoff in Early Feb - US and India (GCC)
