Badge deactivation email
Has anyone received an email about the badge being deactivated before layoffs discussions? Several teammates have received an email stating the badge has been deactivated and when they speak with their leader the leader doesn’t answer any questions.

Just got the call from my boss. Position eliminated. I got the impression she did not know until shortly before I did. I had my review yesterday and got 4 then this today.

At this point I find myself surprisingly hoping to be on this je list, and wonder how many others have gotten here? I wasn’t feeling this way and know it’s a bad market apparently but some severance and time to pull myself out of the anxiety I now live in daily and sounds actually like the better option. Worried about further decline after more loss if I am still here, certainly not going to get better any time soon and will just mean more work for the rest of us, at the end of the day I don’t get an email I think I’ll have more envy than survivors guilt. Sad it’s gotten here used to love my job my company.

I left in January before OPO closed and before the PE axe swung. Things were tense when I left and I know they got worse before the big cut.
Is DF packed wall to wall? Are the parking lots insanely packed? Does anyone care about their job anymore? Are the contractors all gone?

Was anyone told that merit increases were not going to be given to 3's this year? Was told it was company wide. Is that true?
Layoffs Ongoing at Baystate Health
A Baystate Health spokesperson said Monday the system has taken “another difficult step” to improve efficiency by cutting 117 corporate positions. The affected employees make up less than 1% of the overall workforce. Those impacted have been notified and offered support resources.

Executive Level Promotions
Maybe this is me but the concept of announcing several executive level promotions and simultaneously telling the workforce that there will be layoffs to offset inflation, shows a total lack of humanity and civilized behavior. Is that what we have become?
People solutions more like people problems
I have lost track of the number of times I have witnessed misconduct from hr/people solutions. Their sole purpose is to protect management/c-suite at all costs. Don't waste your time with them. Ignore the bad behavior until you can't take it anymore and decide to take your talents elsewhere.
Firing Remote
It's officially happening, they are firing remote claims and disputes people, anybody who's not close to a hub location. Confirmed with emil from EFDC.
What su-ks is that they hired remote people to help during covid, and it's now they're just letting all those good people go.
Oh, but the plus side?! Their rolls are going to be open for hiring at a hub of course. Insert eyeroll.
"Moving Forward Together"
Did the email move you at all? 🤔 It felt hollow to me. If they could have gotten rid of all of us at once they would have. I feel more like we are on a subway train...yeah, all of us are moving "forward", but we all have "stops" ahead where we must get off....Oh well, whatever.

Lay offs
A call yesterday with client services org said a handful in departments throughout the org were let go today. They said implementation and proposals were not affected, but does that mean they won't be affected at all? Or just not affected today?
Run from Humana
Humana has no leadership - they do have lots and lots of layers of useful management, just no leadership! They have no vision or plan at all - hence, can't put together a strategy. It cracks me up that they keep hiring upper management but continue to let go of the people who actually do work.
I could never recommend anyone take a job at Humana, nor would I recommend anyone be a customer. They have very few execs / managers that can deliver! Those that cared about the company and its customers are being let go. They are told they complain but in reality they are bringing up real problems and issues that if not addressed will have huge negative impact. The execs / managers don't complain because someone will then say "what are you going to do about that" and they will have no response since they let go of anyone with ideas or that cared!

Ever since RC got let go, the morale has been at an all time low, AM who is the DM now has made everyone miserable
Bergdorf goodman mass exodus amid paycheck scandal
Bergdorf Goodman employees are fleeing to Bloomingdales on 59th and also luxury boutiques on Madison Avenue. Some employees are saying their paychecks are being manipulated and they are being cheated out of hundreds of dollars per week.
New Seasons Cuts Staff After Wage Increases
New Seasons Market confirmed laying off 95 employees this week. The grocery chain cited increased labor costs from a new contract. These layoffs affect less than 5% of the current store staff. The New Seasons Labor Union expressed outrage over the decision. Affected workers received four weeks of pay and six weeks of health coverage.

Admin staff
I wanted to see what the global experience is with admin staff? In my local office, there’s an assistant that complains all the time about having to take cover multiple teams (a bit over a dozen people). On paper it looks like a lot but it’s often very low touch, even no touch for some.
She says she only had to take care of a few people a few years ago. Which seems crazy. Is she being dramatic and inefficient maybe? Or is low touch assistant work for a few people with doing expenses for a dozen people too much?
Moving states- is it possible to get remote exeception?
Live in NJ, but due to. life circumstances will be moving to TN. Is it possible to ask for an exception to be remote? Been with the company for 4 years and got a promotion recently, if any of that matters. Anyone have any experience or know of others that were in a similar position?
All the issues we are dealing with just don't matter....
Lets be real here. Customers use bank services. These services seem simple to the customers. And in fact, are a tiny part of what goes on behind the scenes. I say this to remind everyone (if needed) that all the BS, discrimination, unfair dealings, crooked management, outsourcing, d-mb RTO rules, etc. - don't matter. They don't matter if the customer is unaffected. Its all under the rug so to speak. Until things get so bad that bank services are impacted, John Q. Public is oblivious and it all doesn't matter. Except to us. And it is continually ground into our psyche as the bus runs us over again and again. Stay at WF long enough, and one could easily be damaged goods emotionally. It really is that bad.

FYI 2/17 announcements pushed a day
Don’t think if you don’t hear today that you’re in the clear. I’m told all 2/17 announcements were pushed to 2/18 because leadership didn't want John to have to field questions at his Open Mic today. So, announcements go out tomorrow, 2/18. Last day on payroll 3/4.

To stop people like MW from laying all the White Collar jobs, we need to unite. Its time for a White Collar Union. He has a hunger that won't be satisfied to layoff. We have to make it harder on him!
