I really, really want to leave US Bank, but I'm wondering if it's safe to join a place that obviously is not shy about cuts. Has anyone here taken a job at a company that recently had layoffs? Would you do it again?

Are layoffs truly a constant?
I am new here but already getting the sense that layoffs are just part of the deal. I'm trying to figure out if this is something people always stress over or if it comes in waves and then fades.
No warning
People were let go with no warning. None. That's the scariest part of this whole thing to me. If there had been at least some indicator, something. But being a high performer and one of the most experienced people there, only to have the rug pulled out from under you like that... I feel so bad for them.
Bonus
Anyone ever had their bonus be $0 due to not working the full 8 hours in office on connect weeks?
Want to know why you’re being laid off
I just found this site. Guestworkervisas.com if you scroll down it lets you search by employer and states and it gives you the role and salary. I guess all the people they lay off aren’t qualified to be a run of the mill software engineer. They have to import the best and brightest lol.
Nike.com...keep getting page not found error
Saturday morning. Want to order soccer cleats and vomero 18 for upcoming Gifts. After selecting filters or on the product picture, keep getting page not found error!! Across the board...!
What a sh-t experience! Imagine how people who are not nike employees will react. Flagship website is broken!
Hey I'll just take my business elsewhere! Is it too much to ask for 100% up time for Nikes front end to the world...? Common VA, RA, EH, things are falling apart before our eyes. Wake up and do your job.
2026 layoffs
Were there layoffs already this year in all divisions? Any depts expect more this year? Any division safer?
Claude
I used a TON of tokens trying to get Claude to do what I requested. Ultimately, I had to do it myself as it totally su-ks.
I hope it cost VZ plenty too
Any example of severance not being paid?
I was laid off in April and I did something stupid! My network connection was not cut immediately and I e mailed my resume, my reviews and also some reports I used to produce to my home e mail. The purpose was to prepare myself to interviews.
Now somebody from CSIS e mailed me to talk regarding this…
Now- is there any example of severance not being paid due to this? I will have a zoom call with them to explain, but should I start looking for a lawyer in case they do not pay my severance? Would Citi go to the hassle of lawyers for a situation like this?
Pls ease my mind…
Thank you
BTC Parking Lot Camera
Anyone know why the cameras are in the south BTC parking lot (the ones outside of high theft stores)?
Joe Parks History
Has anyone else noticed that Joe Parks came from Pizza Hut (technically the IT affiliate) and when he was there he oversaw the implementation of AI. In May 2026 a NY franchise owner opened a $100M lawsuit against Pizza Hut because they forced AI to be used and it was a disaster. Service tanked and sales dropped. Ironically Joe left them 6 or so months before the lawsuit. Hmmmm seems to me like he might have had a feeling something ugly was coming.
Now my real concern is the same exact thing is happening at SF. I work in ET and I can confirm 100% that the use of AI is getting crammed down our throats. We are being monitored to see how often we use it (being encouraged it should be daily) and leadership is pushing hard for use cases that make no sense. Sounds like Pizza Hut 2.0
How are we supposed to feel after this?
Morale was already down, and now we can add to that feeling completely disposable. Knowing some of the people who were laid off, it's clear nothing we do, no matter how good or knowledgeable we are will save us. How are we supposed to deal with that and continue working like everything is the same?
belle chasse
when management only cares about checking the box and how fast they can get out of belle chasse instead of fixing the real issues morale tanks and the plant goes downhill.
RTO woes
We are a family of 4, with 2 in elementary school assigned to go to ATL but I asked for Dallas and manager and VP were ok to Dallas with no confirmation from HR or ATS. I don’t have a choice except to move as I have single income. I am super scared of moving as there is no job guarantee after I move and could get surplused in a year as it happened to many people. I have tried for jobs since 3 years but did not land any. Was anybody in this situation where they chose one location over the assigned location? I live in a metro but still no jobs here
H-1Bs Behaving Badly
Does anyone else endure bad behavior by H-1Bs in the office? My office is chock full of them and they routinely speak at volumes that are more suitable for an NFL game. They also stare at me way too long and it makes me uncomfortable.
AI is taking my job
This week started my teams AI usage. It only does one part of our work so far and it needs some fixes. But I think this is the end lol. CRIU- when will we be let go? Any guesses?
Uk layoffs
What roles / departments are being targeted in the uk. Lots of muttering but no real facts. Any information is appreciated.

Does Dan have any hands on experience with AI?
Not like management has hands on experience in telecom but this guy is trying to ride the AI hype train so hard it’s embarrassing. Very clear he has no idea what he’s talking about. When is the board going to do something about him?
The people at the top aren't leaders
They're just glorified managers, and they're not even good at that. Citi is spiraling downward because there's a complete lack of real leadership.

Why is Verizon Stock down? Read then post!
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/verizon-vz-stock-trades-down-here-is-why/ar-AA24RnGp Bottom line Verizon sold customer location data and was fined $47 Million. Wonder how many employees Dan will lay off to cover this bone head move?
The Market is Punishing us

Agency just missed minimum goal in May...
are we done? This makes 7 months in the rolling 12. Coworkers are all concerned. Is there a grace period? Probation? Warning?
The Saying is sure true, EVERYONE is replaceable in Corporates
Who is next to get ousted?
I am tired of guessing what is going on
I come into work every day wondering if something is about to change and nobody says a word. The lack of communication about job security is becoming exhausting.
My team lost several good and hardworking folks
That tells you clearly that this had nothing to do with performance, and everything to do with a bunch of numbers on a spreadsheet. A very, very stupid move long-term.
Fraud ops
Don't know how many, but it's happening today.

Anyone else concerned that declining sales will cause layoffs?
Ford and Lincoln in major decline, other manufacturers are not. From tge DN:
Ford Motor Co.'s U.S. sales declined almost 14% year-over-year in May, despite the introduction last month of employee discounted pricing for all.
The Dearborn automaker cited the discontinuation of the Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair crossovers as well as reduced daily rental volumes for the decline. Without those, Ford said sales would've been down 1%, according to the company.
Cox Automotive Inc. ahead of the results was forecasting a flat May for the industry resulting from low consumer confidence and higher gas prices balanced by stock market growth and larger tax returns. With Ford discontinuing a few models and its next major vehicle launch not happening until 2027, analysts had forecast the automaker would struggle to keep pace in 2026.
The best-selling trucks in the United States, F-Series pickups and cabs, fell 13% as the company still works through limited inventory from an aluminum shortage stemming from multiple fires last fall at a supplier. The smaller Ranger fell 23%, and Maverick rose10% to a May record with its best sales month for its hybrid version. The Transit commercial van grew 4.2%, including a 22% decrease for the electric version.
Ford SUVs fell 21%, though large SUVs still are marking their best start to a year in 25 years. Explorer grew 8.8%, and Bronco rose 5.2% to a May record. But Bronco Sport dropped 8.3%, and Expedition declined 24%, though it had its best monthly retail share in six years. The electric Mustang Mach-E fell 44%. The Mustang coupe declined 1.8%.
Lincoln sales also declined 21% with all models down: Nautilus at 7.6%, Aviator at 6.1% and Navigator at 10.8%.
Ford is offering employee pricing for all through the July 4 weekend to mark the 250th anniversary of America's founding. The automaker in 2025 had a similar promotion through the summer in response to uncertainty created by new tariffs introduced by the Trump administration.
In May, Subaru Inc. reported U.S. sales were up 10%, Hyundai Motor Co. Ltd.'s increased 3%, Kia Corp.'s rose11% to a monthly record and Mazda Motor Corp.'s rose 35%. General Motors Co. and Chrysler and Jeep parent Stellantis NV will report second-quarter sales in July.
Customer Champion / Case Mgmt
We are always told that we are the safest, but any chance Case would be impacted with RIFs/Layoff?
Why are we pushing for AI when automation is what they are looking for?
I’ve noticed that leaders keep pushing for AI when we actually need more automation. AI is not deterministic and is a struggle to implement. If they want correct answers 100% of the time, why not implement automations instead? Makes no sense…
Stock nosediving once again
The wool is going to come off people’s eyes sooner or later. When it does, the stock will end up much closer to where it belongs, in the single digits.
Your manager will reach out in coming weeks, months
Embrace the change, sit tight, navigate it with optimism.
How tf am I supposed be do that when I do not know if I will have a job in coming weeks, months??
Finance layoffs
Anyone in finance care to comment on what's going on with you guys ?
Hearing about large scale layoffs.... How many are affected, when is it happening/how long do they think it will take?
Leadership distrust
Does anybody here trust this leadership? If the answer is yes, why? What have they done to warrant that trust? I can't think of a single thing.
June 25, August 26...
When will this end?? I'm exhausted.
