How do they select individuals?
Is there any theory or knowledge as to how victims are selected. Presumably a role has to become redundant and then individuals in that role are selected based on length of service, performance and so forth.
Severance Expense
Looking at the FIS quarterly report, FIS has paid out $205 million in severance this year compared to $34 million for the same period last year. Also there is a comment, "The Company continues to evaluate its organizational structure and expects... — read more
When someone gets RIF what happens next
When some one gets RIF do they lose all their unused Pto also? Hope they get good severance package What else they need to know
Stock down
Oh, look at that. The stock price went down. Again. Color me surprised. A company which RIFs its staff for non-personal performance reasons is a company which has failed. A company which RIFs its staff to increase the stock price is even worse -... — read more
Can’t say I was thrilled with the job
But I’d been trying to find something else for months, and nothing ever came through. Now I’m laid off, and the panic is setting in. Wishing everyone who lost their job yesterday the best of luck, I think we’re all going to need it.
Does FIS allow unused vacation days to roll over to the next year?
Hi everyone. Current TSYS employee here. I am wondering if FIS rolls over your unused vacation days to the following year. What's the policy around it? Because currently in GPN, we have to use it in the same year or lose it.
Anyone able to negotiate severance?
Part of the 9/19 bloodbath and got laid off without notice. Aren't we supposed to get 60 day notice due to the federal WARN act? WARN violations charge $500 per day of violation. We should be getting an extra $30,000 to our severance.
I'll never get this
When will they realize that getting rid of the best people is only harming the company in the long run? The value of institutional knowledge can't be overstated and they just keep throwing it away like it's nothing.
FIS/GP/TSYS = Huge Dumpster Fire
As a TSYS Issuer TM I was very excited when I heard we were getting AWAY from GP and joining forces with a company I thought MAY know how to do us better. I figured it definitely couldn't get any worse than being treated like the ugly stepchild like... — read more
Sales Impact?
So with truly no CRO running sales these days, and Nasser the nightmare turning a blind eye to the people who matter, very curious if anyone is hearing is any impact to sales and sales leadership.
how can we share this website with coworkers?
i think it'd be good if more of us participate here, we'd have access to more info. i see that new threads get 300+ views within a couple of hours which is good, but i do not think we have critical mass here. i'd share internally but i am afraid... — read more

Any idea if the layoffs will be done today?
Or is there more to come? Best of luck to everyone impacted.
November 19th has been confirmed
November 19th has been confirmed as a Wednesday blood bath. Then later in the week, or the next week for a 2nd RIF round. I was told not just US staff either. Bumping this from @we+1k9zcd9zv for important info.
FiS Global no longer on Fishbowl?
I check here and Fishbowl for what is potentially going on. Looks the FIS Global bowl is no longer. Any ideas how that happened as it was very busy?
Crickets
Thankfully, it seems like this thread has died for now. Someone mentioned layoffs for this week in the past. That looks to be wrong as it's pretty quiet around here. That's a good thing I'd say!
Layoffs before the TSYS people come in?
Hello everyone, Did anyone hear anything about planned layoffs for the people joining from TSYS?
Did anyone return their devices?
Did anyone return their laptop and phone? I was told that someone would reach out to me about sending my stuff back to IT, but that never happened. Severance check cleared, so I guess I will just give the phone to my kid and trash the bricked... — read more
On a more positive note - smart basket
This seems to be a brilliant strategy. If we can pull it off it could be a game changer. There is a HUGE financial commitment to make it happen. I hope it does. 🙏
Its about to get real ugly.
Did anyone see the Fiserv earning and subsequent drip of 44% in the stock price. FIS in sympathy is down 9%. Announcement off 100k of layoffs between the mag 7. Things are starting to fet real.
Customer Center drop confirmed
Confirmed today by SVP in town hall that customer center group for one of the biggest clients will go away. They are taking it back like some other posters mentioned. Plan is for it to go back in May 2026. Big loss.
More coming
There will be more layoffs before years end. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a good old fashioned RIF. Support for clients is terrible and getting worse by the day. Pretty unhappy place to work these days.

Management is pushing for all metrics in various reports to look pristine. One project had a tasks at 100%, which was questioned as the project is most likely, with accurate reporting, in a red status. Response was that the initial jobs or tasks were... — read more

Losing clients

Disturbing lack of young talent
