Can someone that gets the axe and works for HR come here and spill the beans about what really has been going on?
VBG has been gutted

Age and tenure
Does age and tenure have anything to do with who gets picked for lay off. Wouldn't company have to pay more in severance if they let go someone with 25 years with the company as oppose to 6 years? So last in first out would save them more money?

Remote v. in office - safer?
Any chances that those who are in an office are safer than remote workers? Seems like there is an RTO push, so maybe remote will get hit harder?

Verizon Layoffs Nothing To Do With Artificial Intelligence (AI)
