Tough times are ahead. Again. I'm training myself to use every moment away from work for myself, to stop carrying it with me all the time. I can't influence what's going to happen, so I can at least try to enjoy what precious free time I have. Good... — read more
Can OpenText really still succeed?
Let's see... no clear vision no real leadership no accountability bloated executive suite failure to keep products moving forward no real R&D or innovation brain drain And we are getting rid of MORE workers to fix the sinking ship?... — read more
SVP in India
One of Shannon's direct reports going to India, coincidence ?
July
Let's say we survive next week, what's ahead of us in July ? More general layoffs or entire teams and órga being gotten rid of ?
No layoffs next week, the fun is in July
A massive reorg is being planned to reduce business units , and consolidate around AI document management systems. Think Content Server + Aviator.
4 days left
To be honest id welcome getting released from this pressure cooker, a truly horrible place to work
Layoffs next week - definitely across the board?
Any orgs or regions getting a pass?
Do more with less until everything is done with nothing. IA stupidity
Being told to implement IA to do your job, so we don't need you anymore, or we will let you go, makes no sense. Especially when no tools or assistance are provided. It's like telling the bus driver to implement a self-driving system so we don't... — read more
How do layoffs work here
In previous companies I've worked at, the direct mgr does the layoff but from what I see in OT it's the VP who does the lay off ? Are direct managers in the loop at all ? When will invites go out , Friday ?
40 opening positions in US
none of them are regular software engineer positions :-(
Layoffs going to be heavy
This layoff round is taking a large amount of causalities. US/CA/UK/EMEA/India Good luck to all
March 23 Targets
Who is the target next week ? Virtual / managers or everybody
$100 says the Mar23 layoff will be “due to AI”
Following block , OpenText will use this at its new narrative Before it was “Covid” then it was “tariffs/trump” now it’ll be AI This is the only option they know
RTO
Is this being reported on? Four days in the office is too much, the low morale in the office is ki-ling me.
They cut half of us last year
Now the people left are doing twice the work. Every single day.

No layoffs in India
India is the most important region to OT, they are hiring and completely committed to India No layoffs there
Cut the middle people
We have so many people whose whole job is collecting updates from those of us who do the work and presenting them somewhere else. They don't add anything. They don't do anything. They just take the work, repackage it, and hand it up. Cut them all and... — read more

Oy with this cr-p company for 7 months so prob wouldn't severance but I can't stand this place, I dread every day What are my chances
The stock is dropping yet again...
It's down to $25 usd. That's a 28.8% 6 month low. Someone in ELT is going to push the layoff button because they don't have any other buttons.
US COBRA benefits
I am "offboarding" this wonderful place in the US. Of course, the links to the offboarding processes do not work or time out. All I really care about is COBRA (they can take their surveys and shove them). Has anyone that has recently ejected... — read more
March 23
People are suggesting this date but would they pick the last week of quarter ? If it's true, is it just India or everyone ?
thoughts on ai leader
what are your thoughts on shanon as the new AI leader compared to savnay? do you think she has a vision to turn it into a core flagship offering or will it remain optional feature with limited adoption?
The knowledge drain
We spend decades learning how to do this work. Layoffs can erase all of that in a day. That's going to hurt us eventually.
Layoffs before or after ceo
Will be do layoffs after joining or will they be done before ? Seems likely they will be done before in my opinion
Manager acting strange - what's up ?
My manager isn't engaging with the team at present, I pinged the other day and not even an acknowledgement Not joining daily calls etc Are there changes coming ?
Dead end for women leaders

Layoffs in India
I’ve seen heard of layoffs in India on Monday, is that accurate ?
Not worth it
Boss has no life outside work and expects the same from me. He's paid well, I'm not. Even if I was, I wouldn't sacrifice everything for this place. Starting my search.
Upcoming layoffs
Anyone know when the round is coming that James spoke of in the all hands , he said "we still have 150 million to go to right size the company " Does he mean in fy 26 or fy 27? Will they wait for the new CEO to do it ?
Next week 4 days
Is next week just for people going from 3 to 4 days? Or is it affecting people who were remote and not remote anymore Also what happens if we don't do the 4 days
Career week is amazingly cringe
Does anyone actually get anything out of this other than disgust and insult? This has to be one of the most bizarre corporate nonsense campaigns I have seen across at least 7 employers. Is anyone following this directive?: " And don’t forget to... — read more
