Heard massive layoff coming in CIT

No point of layoffs if they replace with new people. So they won’t. They are going to try to reduce costs if they laid off people. Some people think that they be safe if they survive layoffs. So they keep asking on this site “are there any layoffs?” and participate in rumors about it. Even though you don’t get a layoff, your workload will increase. Believe me all this types of conversations and any decisions will just make the company sink.

PE will cash out and sell all real estate and rake in as much profit as they can.

There is another five-figure layoff coming about a month post consolidation. Then ~5k in Q4 again. That was plan A. Plan B was ~5k now, and five-figure in Q4, depending on how well QAM-less TV goes (how many onshore engineers they need to fix things) and how quickly/easily Frontier comes online.

I just accepted an offer with a growing company (more money, but have to be in office; can't be perfect, I guess.) Cashed out my (frozen, small) pension and stock together awards to an IRA, with stocks that actually perform.

I enjoyed the semi-continuous axe swinging for my 26y, made good money (but not great, after testing the market), left with a fat check to go make more elsewhere.

Telecom has become a race to the bottom. That'll necessitate less HC, lower salaries, and smaller businesses. You're going to see more reductions, with a far smaller RIF package in the future. I worked through the BCs. It's coming.

Rumors flying around Dallas about VTP happening soon in Leg T union contract after ratification.. Voluntary Termination Pay up to 104 weeks pay will be happening.

The thought of this spilling into next week makes me feel sick.

Rumor has it we are changing our name back to First Data after earnings.

It’s time for a merger with Oxychem. Too many obvious advantages. Economies of scale, synergies, and market expansion. The rumors have already started and it’s time to move forward in 2H 2026 with this move. Stronger together.

Its Feb and everyone is saying they are coming but name departments please. Morrows kickoff meeting was this week.

I had a reliable source tell me something big is about to be announced but wouldnt say. has to do with us being sold, buying, or going public is all they said.

You won’t believe the tea DV was always spilling! He kept going on and on about how everyone who came over from USAA got that sweet LTIP I mean, literally down to the assistants who transferred in. Like, he made it sound like the ultimate selling point, the big perk that sealed the deal.
And don’t get me started on KS /DV she was all about bringing in her people to push out the NM crew, basically stirring up all this fear to clear house. It’s been two whole years of them making up their own rules and just lining their pockets. I heard only one is left now… what a total joke!

Heard a rumor that budgets have been drastically cut and Technology is barely functional. Rats have started abandoning the ship too. Any truth to this?

Someone mentioned there were gonna be Level 3 & 4 layoffs. What happened to this rumor?

I’m so confused. None of my bosses / leaders have said anything about no bonuses. I haven’t received any emails about no bonuses. But on here there’s so many posts of people speaking with such authority about no more bonuses.

I’m not here to scare anyone but share what I’ve been told and heard but I was told there’s another RIF coming 2/19.

Lots of big swinging di-ks flying into NY next week for earnings. Seems like lots of people behind closed doors these days all over the place. Merger? Major Acquisition? Feels like something different.

Many are talking about potential February layoffs. Does anyone have solid intel, or are we all just anxiously guessing? I wish we knew one way or the other so we could prepare.

Saw the CEO of Nuvia left qualcomm and some other leavers from Qualcomm. Wonder what is going on. Leaving to found something else or layoffs/forced exits.

February might be the shortest month, but it'd still be good to know when exactly the supposed layoffs are to take place.

I’m reading the layoff on 2/19 will be bigger than the one last month, and it will include Optum at Home staff that are grade level 27 and below. Anybody have information?
