Did directors help make the list? Or senior directors only?

I’m wondering if my director (one step above my associate director) help to put together the list of names. Our Senior director is still relatively new and wouldn’t know the or well enough to know which people should stay and go, so I’m wondering if our director had any input.

Someone posted an article on here once, it was so e kind of prediction of how VZ would play out over time and wonder if anyone knows what I'm talking about or has the link for the article. What about previously scheduled holiday vacations?

I have international vacation trips for Thanksgiving and Christmas already approved and non-refundable airline tickets purchased. If I'm not on the list I assume I will not be claiming the vacation days and will get extra pay for the vacation days not claimed.

What if I am not selected but half my team is?


Is it possible to get both severance and unemployment?

Since I haven't been here long enough to qualify for anything close to a decent severance, I'm wondering if I'd still be able to file for unemployment if I end up getting hit by the cuts. I just want to know what kind of safety net I’d actually have if everything goes sideways.


Return to Office Policy in 2026

I’ve heard that conversations are happening to reinstate a return to office for the entire work-week as opposed to the current 3-day requirement. Does anybody have any additional intel to confirm or deny this is on the table?

I feel like the open seating setup is not ideal due to noise, lack of routine, etc and having everybody in the office is going to make it that much more difficult to be productive. At least give us a cube so teams can sit together and you know where to find someone as opposed to walking around aimlessly.

Bottom line though - so many of us would still be on zoom sessions for most meetings so a full return to office just isn’t needed to increase productivity and relationships. Leave it where it is and allow us to be adults - if we need the face time, we go in. If not, then we don’t.


Question Regarding Severance Eligibility and Service Time Calculation

I started working at Fleetmatics, and after the acquisition, I continued my employment under Verizon Connect through today. I’m trying to understand how severance eligibility is calculated.

Does anyone know whether my years of service at Fleetmatics will also be counted toward my total service time for severance purposes? Thanks!

What’s going on with Legacy T techs? Big changes to Schedules, Reporting Locations, End of home dispatch for critical infrastructure crews? They giving up on business services? Contracts also up next year.


BET Longevity ?????????????

Is the marketing department and BET + Complete done ? I don't know what to believe at this point.I have been told that the next round the remaining people in marketing will be let go. I lost a lot of people on the BET+ side to buyouts and layoffs. I am so disappointed. I guess we don't have to worry about BET Awards ever again.
