Sale of Quaker?

Will this be the next move per pressure from Elliott?

The real issue with selling Quaker is likely replacing the free cash flow and income. Small business, but with basically zero investment it throughs off a lot of cash and margin basically for nothing.

Can't imagine Quaker would be sold while they undergo PGT transformation. Why waste the money and manpower if not intending to keep it?

I doubt it. PepsiCo, including the latest rebranding, is focused on making us a holistic foods and beverage company. Not just snacks and beverage, so the Quaker portfolio is too strategic imo.

SKU slash has already been in the works internally. Specially around Lays low performing SKUs and “clearing the clutter”

Hopefully Quaker is sold to General Mills. They still pay working wages unlike Frito Lay. Is it any wonder why they have employee retention issues, and incompetence throughout every Frito plant?

@a1 internal comms already suggested we were cutting a lot of our SKUs with the “clear the cutter indicative.” This initiative was announced internally prior to Elliot’s investment.

It’s all been posted in an article from the WSJ. PepsiCo is divesting 20% of its portfolio.
