The rumors have been floating around for weeks now that more is coming, but nothing official just yet. Has anyone heard a date or even a rough timeline for when the next round is supposed to start?
This doesn’t feel like isolated cuts anymore. It feels more like they’re opening and closing the faucet so they don’t flood the house all at once. But the flood still feels like the end goal, just delivered gradually enough that people get used to it.
I know people hate the wait, but knowing something major is happening in July is much better than just coming into work one day and being served your walking papers.
Has this delightful person left yet?
I heard from several people Friday that the new division is doing a 30% reduction in force very soon
Are there any IT folks left in Denver? We were told the DTC office would shut down and to work downtown instead, but then it started raining axes.
Virtual here asked to relocate, But what’s with the layoff talk in June and July, when asked to relocate by October? Why will they layoff when they want you to relocate?
I know and saw the projection.
After the massive layoffs, they are still looking for 5% IPs for the year end during the mid year reviews. More layoffs coming year end?
The 25% reduction in headcount from the BD acquisition is coming. Wednesday is going to be brutal. Expect across all functions, all segments, but especially ADx. R&D likely to be hit especially hard. Lawyer/HR was onsite in Sparks for a reason - upper leadership has been discussing the reorg all this past week at the Sparks location. Anyone with direct subordinates being let go were informed this past week as well. Waters is not BD - they are breezing through letting people go for cause as well as layoffs. If your leadership team does not like you, expect to be let go sooner rather than later. Happy holiday weekend, everyone!
I recently heard from a friend at AMD that layoffs are coming at amd , although there’s no official announcement yet.
Does anyone know if this is just speculation, or are silent layoffs already taking place?
So what do people think are the chances of serious layoffs (i.e. 2,000+ people) in August?
a.) 0% - No change
b.) 25% - So you're sayin' there's a chance.
c.) 50% - Coin flip
d.) 75% - More than likely
e.) 100% - Death and taxes
Has anyone heard of layoffs planned for July? Also, I heard there are plans to reorganize the Marketing organization. Does anybody know the timeline for that?
When are packages being sent out?? What is taking so long?
This seems to be a consensus for the next major round?
… water is wet, there will be more layoffs.
In fact, the layoffs are ongoing, just not in one big axe like in March. The next big swing will be within the next 60 days.
They have told you the plan: greatly reduce company size and become nearly completely Canadian-centric. And they are fulfilling that plan.
And as sure as dung stinks, OpenText will continue to su-k.
Anyone know whether Training and Documentation teams will be impacted by the upcoming layoffs?
Was there a layoff or announcement today?
I can't accept it's over. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
For those of you or you know of people that are either affected or will be going through some sort of transition, did your phone number showed as +1 on the employee directory?
Just got a last minute invite for tomorrow morning.
Sadly this is true. This place is making more layoffs than you can blink. No region will be spared. This is not fake trust me I’m involved in the discussions.
Rumors ShitTel started on future 7A node while it still cannot deliver on 18A or 14A nodes.
Are they going to layoff all employees working on 18A or 14A soon? How come layoff board not have any announcement?
Any idea when the next round is? This is a layoff blog,
I’m still hearing that there will be another round of layoff in June end or July.
And heard this time, reducing the contractors because of larger teams..
anyone heard of this and is it real ???
Heard a rumor that there will be layoffs this Friday, and we’ll be asked to WFH that day. I didn’t put a whole ton of stock into it, but I was sent a photo of all of the CX and MX leadership going into a 2.5hr meeting today and it was set up by the HR generalist. Safe to say I’m officially anxious and not feeling good. My source is as an associate and a leader in the a space at BTD.
Anyone else heard anything concrete?
It looks like the hammer might be dropping tomorrow. Multiple reports all along the vine are saying the meeting did in fact happen this morning - informing senior leadership what / whom is to be let go. Does days in the office matter? Does commits? Tenure? H1B status? Pay? No one knows the parameters, but the meetings with the boys upstairs have started.
Hearing rumors of potential layoffs coming in June. Anyone hear anything?
Are we being spared this time?
The next round won't happen at least for a few months, right?
We know cyber got hit recently… anyone knows who’s next?
