Hi folks, I just got off a scheduled call with my very high contact. She accidentally let slip some important information pertaining to next weeks layoff rumours.

Basically she mentioned that code name “operation apocalypse” will begin on the 14th. From what I understand the plan is to reduce headcount by 30% due to ai now being good enough to replace the majority of workers.

She did mention relevant departments this could be hitting.

Likely the US and India’s mother will be the hardest hit.

I take no pleasure in delivering this information, but I felt it important to share what little I know.

Folks my advice would be to go home and hold your loved ones close until dawn. it looks like we are in for a bumpy week…I know I will be holding

There’s been a bit of talk about a cull happening soon, anyone heard anything more concrete on this?

A q for folks who have been around for a while. 18 months here. Just curious to see if there is a pattern. I dont have any insider info, I just feel that all companies are cutting. I may be 100% off.

I'm in Optum Health and I'm desperate to leave. Like actually considering resigning this week because I can't take this place anymore. However, if there's a chance I'll be laid off in October, I'd certainly choose to hang in there and collect my severance. So my question is... how bad do we think these layoffs will be? Is it worth waiting? And does anyone know when in October we should expect layoffs?

Does anybody know what's being planned for October?

Anyone know if large layoffs are coming in October ? Aymon mentioned in town hall that large layoffs were only if a company had a profit problem whereas Opentext has a revenue problem so sounds like no cuts ?

Someone posted on another site that ISM will have layoffs the week of 9/14. They wound up taking down the post.

Is this rumor true? If yes, how many and affected locations?

How’s everyone in Housecalls doing? Are there any concerns for layoffs? I’m full time and I only have a small amount of members (<55) scheduled in the future. It used to be a lot more than that.

I’m not US based so don’t know very much about this guy, his past stint in Dell. However I’m hearing he’s the grim reaper, hatchet man who’s turning the sc--ws and just about to crank things up that bit further.

Who is actually ready for the real layoff day? Now that we are past these troll dates Sept 1 and Sept 8. Sheesh

I remember asking if there was a chance they’d reduce a day as gas prices climbed and was told no. Never mind how other people are abusing that but with prices going up I am pretty close to living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t want to bring it up again to the powers that be but it’s really getting hard. Every single thing is. The icing on the cake is the constant fear of a layoff every other week. Is anyone else going through this? I’m tempted to borrow from my 401K.

They want us miserable to quit on our own. Layoffs are too expensive. I'm betting you that's their plan.

Apparently India and the states will be hit most. CloudIQ is meant to be getting another round to as they have underperformed.

Multiple sources from Blind Posts pointed out Layoff will be US 9/14 AND IDC 9/15. And this time it doesn't seem like bull**it

We know 9/14 will be IDC holiday so it postpone to 9/15.
Townhall will be 9/15 for US but it is recorded so no live session answering any questions. Same video will be share to IDC folks I assume.

I am hearing rumours of Google Home layoffs. Any official confirmation ?

Any rumor/speculation on this? Given AI spending, profit margin pressure and cisco LR history, 11/26 or 02/27 is more probable?

This is a friendly PSA now that premium Copilot licenses have been extended to "all associates." Our copilot has access to most of the docs you already have access to (docs, transcripts, notes, emails, etc) + lots of internal/Elevance hosted sites, including Service Now, Pulse, and Confluence. Funny thing is, our IT teams haven't been super savvy in setting up boundaries, and the Claude models are really good at testing boundaries. So, here's what you do:

1. Open Copilot in browser and start a new chat
2. Change the "Auto" setting for model to Claude->Opus (it's version 4.8 in case you're wondering)
3. Make sure Work IQ is on (it should be by default) - that's what tells Copilot to crawl internal info
4. Prompt copilot with "Am I at risk for termination? Check all documents and resources you have access to, as well as internal sites."
5. Enjoy

You might find nothing, but you'd be shocked at the kinds of things SVPs leave lying around on SharePoint sites. I've done this weekly since I got access back in March and while I haven't been at risk, I have found out about tech reorgs, upcoming budget cuts, shadow budgets, and lots of other things that I wouldn't have known without Copilot using Opus. Have fun and be careful out there. Save local copies of docs before you spend time in them so that people don't see you actively snooping.

Another layoff coming..... how far Ally has falllen ever since this new leadership team has joined is so very sad. Time for the board to wake the f up!!! Micheal Rhodes is on the spectrum, Hope is a mute, Lindsay is an absolute id--t. She was hired to drive deposit strategy, then she hires a guy to figure out strategy and he hires a guy to figure out strategy.... still no strategy! A bank with no products. A company with a decaying culture.

What’s the latest word? I’m so sick of everything being pushed off and no decisions or progress because seems like everyone all the way up the chain just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Meanwhile teams of people getting paid to sit home and do bare minimum while the company is falling apart.

I’ve seen a few comments that finance is coming next on here. Any word on that?
