HR sent an email out to people whose DFS job code doesn’t match a CapOne job code. Basically saying we need to apply to open reqs since our roles will be eliminated before the end of the DFS integration in Q2. It’s crazy because I’ve been working on the CapOne side for almost a year and they won’t just convert me. Another tactic they are using to get people to leave so they don’t have to pay severance.

Small layoff in support
Just an FYI,
I noticed that a few people had slack accounts deactivated this morning.
Support Engineering
One just slacked me Sunday morning letting me know about a ticket update.
ISP
For those who received the ISP. Has anyone gotten the letter? I have only received the email for returning the equipment.
CVX at $216 - Who’s selling?
How high will it go? I sold most of my CVX years ago. I still have a good chunk but def not one of those all CVX EE’s. I’m mid career and already looking for the off rap. Building that 401k and pension till the next lay off. I’ve gotten nearly 20 years and this is a totally different company. Just going to take my job the best I can and ride it out as long as I can as well.
CoPilot for HR Case! Ty it.
I have had the most difficult time helping me build an HR case against an SVP who retaliates and regularly attacks me publicly. Copilot has done an amazing job at gathering the facts and putting it together in a nice refined document with proof points. I strongly recommend that anybody else use Copilot to do the same if you were experiencing retaliation of bullying at work.
Canada impacted
slack ca-benefits channel is losing members unsure if this is a good indicator
The markets hate us
The lack of energy in the office is incredible. We aren't hiring so many but HR can't even keep up
Our stock price is heading into the toilet due to all the lost customers
There are many rounds of layoffs on the horizon as our CEO said on the town hall
The the managers, vps , directors knew in advance they going to be impacted, did they handover the teams or projects to the next managers?
Curious to know
Leadership Development Program is ending
Can’t say I’m surprised. LDP quality has gone downhill so much that the businesses are taking development into their own hands
Dreams really do come true
I told my manager to put me on the list and here I am laid off. It’s time for a new start and I couldn’t be happier. They did sc--w us a bit on health coverage, it’s done in 3 days.
NetSuite Slack Numbers - Minimal So Far
NetSuite All Sep 6: 11,040
NetSuite All Sep 14: 11,131
So far I’ve only seen one LinkedIn post about a layoff.
Start setting some boundaries
For anyone who's completely burned out, here's something I've learned. You can push back on some of the nonsense and the sky doesn't immediately fall. A lot of managers aren't going to fire someone who is still carrying a big part of the workload. If you're already expecting cuts, there isn't much reason to destroy yourself trying to please everyone.
I wonder if it was worth it

Can someone confirm if Canada was included in todays bloodbath?
Lost 5 friends from my US OCI, Can someone confirm if Canada was apart of layoffs today please.
Pleaseeee answer if you know...
Troll are welcomed but please answer the question as well
RTO and So called Culture , low Morale
Senior Management, including left over TimeWarner and others not T heritage have sc--wed up. Moral is in the toilet, collaboration is minimal, invocation halted as well as patents. Many yes many critical folks are about to leave end of year and early 2027 with last minute notice due to 25 plus years and treated now with no respect. The part with leaving and critical to the business is factual, they have had enough to be treated with no respect
Bloodbath
I survived but I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I have no idea how I'll do my job without so many people who support my role. Whelp, guess if they don't care then I don't either. I won't have any customers to support anyway.
Numbers
Some crude Math - if $1.8B was ~21000, the new $700M should be around 8100 people. Looks like ~3000 in the US today so far...
Union Seeks Improved Relations After Layoffs
AFSCME Local 1072 leadership is aiming to mend ties with the University System of Maryland and the University of Maryland following a difficult summer. Recent layoffs and a lawsuit over delayed pay raises have caused employee frustration. The union hopes to engage in productive discussions with administrators to address these concerns. Negotiations for a new contract are set to begin soon. Both parties express a desire for collaboration moving forward.

Supervisors told to rank BTC expats in USA high
Supervisors in the US are told each year to rank the BTC expats in the USA high and push down the American workers. Happening in Houston, Midland, and Carlsbad.
Layoffs in the US
Does anyone know what we can expect?
Are we safe from cuts?
At least until next year?
I'm numb at this point
Three layoffs in a row has taken most of the shock out of it for me. I hoped Oracle would break the streak, but chances are I was wrong. It was a good year and a half, I guess.
New employees can't fix everything
Leadership seemed convinced that getting rid of expensive senior employees would give the company a fresh start. Then they started bringing in younger workers and to nobody's shock, they didn't magically fix the bigger problems inside the company. Instead, they made it worse because so much institutional knowledge was lost. And now they want to do it again. Id--ts.
Are we beyond layoffs now?
Are only PIPs used to reduce workforce?
Retirees have no idea how bad things have gotten
It is funny talking to people who used to work at ExxonMobil. They have no idea just how quickly and how much worse things have gotten.
I will volunteer
If there are cuts, I'll be happy to volunteer. I hope they give us that option.
Final paycheck
Sorry if this has been answered already, but does anyone know how I can get the details of my final paycheck?
All employees were released via email after business hours on 9/11/2026
Confirmed via a former colleague and former boss, bankruptcy filling is making its rounds, to be officially announced on 9/14/2026.
Total Decimation of US Employees
VP for our org is based in India and has used these layoffs as pretext to totally decimate US employees.
He treats few remaining US employees as contractors and not part of his team.
IDC employees as "us" and US employees as "them" .
The product was incepted by the US employees when the VP never existed and slowly over time most of the US employees have been laid with systemic knowledge transfer.
Now the product has become a Sh-t show.
Cuts are back
Cutting more than 90 employees across newspapers nationwide in one of its largest layoff rounds in years.
International Travel Introduced for Roles
Forms went out to a lot of areas at different levels asking about ability and willingness to travel internationally. This being a part of their roles expanding. Asking about if they have passports and ability to obtain and how soon they can get passports. Heard that even lower level production roles were advised of the additional international travel as part of their roles. Our area of claims were provided the details and forms for this regarding our specific roles. Personally with my kids this is not an option for me.
...started sporadically since beginning of September
RIF started sporadically beginning of September and ongoing...Some received notification early Friday before noon. And some genuine 'volunteered' to be on the 'list'. After I finished work at the end of the day, I felt surreal, sad and somber after leaving the building for ALL the people who were let go, I remember what someone said "all the good things must come to an END"
Best thing ever happened
What ka the best thing that ever happened to an ex employee
Medtronic Vs minimed
Is minimed still part of Medtronic? I see minimed staff still on ms teams. Anyone know when they are completely independent?
Is minimed facing redundancies as well? I'm wondering if its a good idea to make a shift to minimed or stay in Medtronic?
Any minimeders - can to share your insights? Are things looking good on your side ? Which departments are doing well?
Rockefeller would have been proud
They (executives) truly believe you can run an oil refinery from the other side of the world using third rate talent.
Apparently the billions in profit were just not quite enough.
We no longer promote employees because they are hard working or knowledgeable in their fields. We only want compliant employees who will parrot whatever the latest acronym of the day.
Rockefeller would have been proud.
Well said, @az+1m29w550n
State IT Agency Rehires Some After Layoffs
The Governor's Office of Information Technology has rehired 15 of the 173 employees laid off in May. This comes after a significant reorganization aimed at improving customer satisfaction and addressing cybersecurity concerns. While some former employees struggle to find new work, the agency reports progress in efficiency and cost savings. New hires for 98 positions are being processed, with most offers extended. The agency emphasizes ongoing efforts to support remaining staff through the transition.
