It feels like we've been in a state of rolling layoffs

You constantly hear about people being let go, a team here, an org there, in numbers just small enough not to draw too much attention. There's endless talk about a reorg with zero details, and barely any communication from leadership. We're left fumbling in the dark, just waiting to see if our job is next. It's no wonder morale is in the gutter and the entire atmosphere feels so heavy.

Juniper interns to HPE full time conversions

Does anyone have idea if Juniper interns will be getting any full time return offers? I interned last summer, but haven't heard back from my manager yet. Not even a Yes/ No. Just no response. Would appreciate it if anyone has some clarity on this

Target at it again treating employees like cr-p

Distribution centers, sortation center and Woodbury distribution were told that starting Jan 1st we are required to take the new law of an unpaid 30 minutes AND they cannot work longer or make up the time. Everyone is going to lose pay that puts food on their tables for their families. This law was not meant for companies to use it to their own advantage benefit. Target does not care. Most people are losing $1500 to $5000 a year in lost wages. And yet no comment on the news.

For Pete’s sake, retire!

I know it’s easy to point fingers when things are not going well but where was our fearless leader 2025?

While the ship was sinking in 2025, he was no where to be found.

From the start, he took care of all his friends regardless of whether they had the experience or not to work the position.

This is the same guy who told us nothing would change when we were transitioned over to CUSA other than our email. He said it would be a good move for the company to help align support. Can anyone still employed at Canon USA (formerly CSA) say things have improved with the transition?

When he felt intimidated, he created useless buffers by promoting his old friends from Chicago. When he felt people were pushing him out he turned up the heat and forced them out.

Anyone could have run this company during the good times. It’s the tough times that show who the true leaders are. It’s safe to say our leader played and hide and go seek for this entire year. Maybe someone should tell him the game is over and it’s time to leave Melville and buy a one way ticket back to Chicago.

Good luck Mason, it’s safe to say you inherited a mess at the hands of your colleague.

Just a thought

hink it’s time someone asks the real questions that so many of us on the Medicare/Medicaid Member Services and Provider Services side of UnitedHealth Group are afraid to say out loud.

What is actually going on?
How much longer will any of us have jobs here in the United States?
Why can’t leadership just be transparent with us about the future instead of leaving entire teams in a constant state of uncertainty?

Every day we hear rumors, see teams shrinking, and watch responsibilities shift with no clear explanation. Many of us have built years of our lives around this company, serving members and providers with everything we have. We deserve honesty. We deserve communication. We deserve clarity about what direction this organization is taking and what it means for the people who keep it running.

How many of us are even left in the U.S. doing this work?
And why is it so hard to get straightforward information?

We’re not asking for miracles—just truthful communication and respect for the workforce that shows up every day despite the stress, fear, and unanswered questions.

UnitedHealth Group, we need answers.
We deserve transparency.
And we deserve better than silence.

Where is Sam?

Where is our CHRO when we need her tone deaf and inauthentic posts the most? Culture OS was bragged about and now she’s MIA during the most consequential time in decades? Maybe she’s mad she didn’t get a $4M retention bonus on the backs of thousands of lives ruined like her best buddies. Tough to say, but I am confident AI will guide her in whatever post she does to address us all eventually. And the spineless leadership will all like and repost it.

I am getting angry

They say they are going to change, but dear God in heaven when is one iota of change for the better going to happen?
This is like the worst bad relationship your parents told you about.
They say they are going to communicate more… they don’t. When they do it’s more words, less action.
They have made you lose a lot of good friends aka coworkers, for reasons you still have no idea of. There are still way too many bosses.
So help me if someone tries to say they are going to bring Tar-jay back I am going to scream. It’s over. It’s like Mean Girls and Fetch. Stop trying to make it happen. These are NOT your guests anymore. Why can you not understand this?
And speaking of not understanding your guests, you really had a great idea
with the grab bags, but you failed. Aside from the winners, I cannot even fathom who would be impressed or happy with what was in that bag. There is better and more sh-t presently in my vehicle than what was in that bag. And you hyped it up, to our guests. Who waited for it, thinking it was something great! You couldn’t even load it with snacks? A $5 gift card? Jesus anything? My kids birthday gift bags are better and we are poor.
I feel like you are just sabotaging the company now with these decisions. Trying to tank all of us.
There are so many of us who still and who did bust their a-s for this company, and for what? THIS?!

Converse Layoffs?

It’s disheartening to hear what’s happening with the converse team being left hanging with their fingers crossed and no clue what, who, or when, layoffs will impact. Why do this for so long dragging it out with no communication? Folks in VP and director level seats seem to be the problem and the real contributors are disregarded and silenced. Things aren’t looking good.

VZ is a (tele)Communications company?!

So hour by hour every publication is using the '15 to 20k layoffs' headlines to get to whatever sl--t they have, and all of the quotes and bullets are the same for all of the articles. And VZ officially has no comment. And this site and Reddit and everywhere else threads their hearts out with rumor/speculation/furvor. And VZ, the communications company with the new 'Tell it like it is' CEO, and a credo of integrity and respect, just allows rumor, speculation, and uncertainty take a deep soak while November 20 gets closer on the calendar. This isn't some scramble with no direction; Big Brother is controlling the communication even if it LOOKS chaotic. Chaos is a strategy.

We need transparency

This whole process was never going to be easy, but it could’ve been so much better if leadership had been upfront from the start. Instead, we’re left to guess and speculate because no one at the top wants to say anything concrete. A little honesty and communication would make a world of difference right now.

Activity Monitoring discussion coming from a manager near you.

In case you weren't aware, they're also looking at activity levels-- So now they're expecting you to click and email and teams and what the f**k else they're looking at to complain about you. And naturally nothing has been communicated, you know know how they measure or what they measure.

F this company.

They certainly achieved one thing

With the way this is being handled, I know I'll be looking to leave whether I'm affected or not and I know so many others who feel the same. I don't know if that was the goal, but if it was, I think they might be surprised at how good it worked when they're faced with a mass exodus after this is done.

Every department here is a little world of its own

No one communicates, no one coordinates, and you end up doing the same work multiple times without even realizing it. It’s chaos, and nobody seems to notice. This would be bad enough if we had enough people to be able to waste time, but we don't. It's making a bad situation worse, but nobody seems to give a damn.

Feedback used to matter

These days, I swear telling someone your thoughts is like yelling into a canyon. Nothing happens, nothing ever changes, even if it's something that could help significantly speed up things. There's no point in trying anymore. It’s easier to nod and move on than to waste energy trying to fix anything.
