Nothing says USAA cares like handing out 60 day notices to a little over 200 people, just days before the holiday season begins.
The 60 days ends right after Christmas (12/28).

And of course our dear bank President Mike Mo--n, makes things even worse by saying big changes are coming early in Q1, so now the remaining bank employees can stress about if they’ll have a job heading into next year.

That’s how it’s always been - the notices go out the day of the layoffs.

Just had a random meeting which said they terminated random positions. Did not even bother to tell us what the impact is or how to prepare.

This company wants to fail and just get bought out. Customers are leaving in droves and brain strain is causing it to be broken and hacked. This butcher of a CEO is crazy.

A point I never see get made is how frustrating it is to deal with an even worse job market just because you worked hard. Yes, I might survive the next rif, or maybe the next two, but three rifs from now there will be so many unemployed white collar workers that it would put us in a worse spot. Sc--wed if you are riffed now and even more sc--wed if you are riffed later, really demotivating stuff.

It's been a long time coming--but a much steeper trajectory toward then end--but this company's technology organization has officially fallen to Indians. If you are not an Indian, your career prospects are bleak. They also keep telling us that the new offshore capability center isn't intended to reduce the FTE onshore footprint, but just know, you are being lied to like you have been lied to about prior layoffs and RTO. What’s Charter’s typical stance when it comes to layoffs? Do they usually cut contractors or full-time employees first? With 1,200 FTEs being laid off, I would’ve expected to see more contractors let go, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Is anyone else noticing this?
