Did you anyone receive them email that was sent out this morning about Cigna getting rid of IFP plans starting in 2027? What does this mean for our jobs? If Cigna is no longer offering IFP PLANS starting 2027, does this mean employees in that department will also be fired? I’m just trying to understand all of this.

It’s a non payday Thursday
Buckle up!
Fidelity 5 days
https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2026/04/29/fidelity-to-bring-employees-back-to-the-office-5-days-a-week/
Ok folks who complain about THREE day requirement- TIAA continues to be the outlier here. For those who threaten to leave over this requirement - not only is the job market difficult, your options to work from home also seem to be dwindling. So maybe switch career paths as the industry is almost exclusively in office or appreciate what TIAA offers its employees?
I don't think it's over
I believe we'll only be safe come Monday.
Stores without Beauty Merchandisers!!!
How’s it going in the stores without their beauty merchandisers?! Are the cosmetics associates doing the job? Visual captain?! Is stuff getting done?! Why would anyone think it was a great idea to cut them? If anything there should be a full time and a part time at every store! They’re important because they do a lot in 40 hours a week! Mind you, the pay should align better too.
North Thurston Schools Postpone Staff Cuts Amid Community Opposition
North Thurston Public Schools board paused proposed layoffs. This decision followed significant public outcry at a recent meeting. The district faced a $10 million budget deficit. Proposed cuts included mental health specialists and physical therapists. Enrollment decline and rising expenses contributed to the financial shortfall.

Marsden Services Lays Off 106 in Louisville After Contract Ends
Marsden Services is laying off 106 employees at its Louisville facility. The company's facility services warehouse permanently ceased operations. Layoffs are scheduled to begin on May 10. This closure resulted from a client terminating their contract. Affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.

KSC Clinics Closing
Anyone have any info on what KSC clinics are closing for good? I know our path of growth was too aggressive, but didn’t think closing clinics was the solution. I always assumed they would just do a hiring freeze instead of laying off WellMed employees they just onboarded within the last 6 months….Good luck to anyone who gets cut today. It is tough out there.
SNPS L5 - ISU cut by 45%
Since my ISU got a big cut, I’ve officially entered my "Linux Villain Era." I finally installed Ubuntu 26.04 and banned my work laptop from the house in the evening and weekends—mostly because I prefer my OS without a side of corporate heavy eavesdropping. If the budget is gone, my "extra mile" just hit a dead end.
Cognizant Initiates Workforce Restructuring for AI Future
Cognizant launched Project Leap to transform its operating model for AI-led delivery. This program involves investments in AI capabilities and workforce reskilling. It will also result in employee layoffs as the company shifts to an AI-led pyramid. Cognizant expects to incur $230-$320 million in costs, mostly for severance, in 2026. The company anticipates $200-$300 million in cost savings from this initiative.

How to get experience letter from Nike with job duties (Alumni)
Hi everyone,
I’m a former employee of Nike and I’m trying to obtain a more detailed experience letter. So far, I’ve only received a basic employment verification that includes my start date, end date, and job title.
For my current needs, I require a letter that also outlines my roles and responsibilities (job duties) during my time there.
Has anyone here successfully requested a detailed experience or reference letter from Nike after leaving the company? If so, could you share the process, the right contact/team to reach out to, or any tips on how to make this request effective?
Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Gas prices compensation
If Ford truly cared about us, they would either up our pay, or let us WFH an additional day each week, to compensate us for the price of gas used coming into the office.
Boulder County Plans Further Layoffs Amid Budget Deficit
Boulder County plans further employee reductions. Officials will implement budget cuts to close a structural deficit. This deficit stems from rising costs and slower revenue growth. Previous cuts severely affected social service programs. The workers union advocates for alternatives and earlier employee notification.

“They make you go into office more at Vanguard”
Back in 2023 at an FI all hands in SMT, one of the heads of the BU said “Vanguard makes you come in 3 times a day, we’re MUCH better than them”. Roger Stiles also said in the end of 2022 that the approach for one week in office was fair.
I wonder if those gents remember when they said that lol.
Dan is far more better than Hans
To all the negative people over here.. just ask yourself: Is Hans better than Dan?
Answer is obviously No..
Atleast we are not hiring random people for DEI.. I saw former cooks/ gym instructors getting hired under some program. There was mafia in GTS ( some people are still here) .
I liked Hans for keeping everyone comfortable on a sinking ship without doing anything to help the ship..
I would rather be uncomfortable but save the ship.
Optum Serve
Any intel on layoffs in Optum Serve?
Anyone know how to check your paystub now?
Anyone know?
What's the age average this time?
For some reason, this time I've seen fewer older employees affected than usual. Am I wrong?
People chronically on leave
I ask out of place of genuine curiosity. It seems lots of people on my team are chronically out on leave. It's a revolving door of people getting pregnant, mailing it in 9 months before pregnancy, using your PTO, being out for 6 months on maternity leave, mailing it in the year after your baby, and repeating the cycle. Then others are FMLA/medical leave and seemingly work like 60% of year. There's no way 1/3 of my colleagues are getting surgeries or getting cancer diagnoses. Is there something I'm missing? Is the strategy to work yourself to a bloody pulp and go on mental health leave for weeks at a time?
I feel like this place is a state-supported jobs program for Minnesotan women.
Boycott FLIK
Let’s all boycott FLIK - why are we coming here more to line their pockets! Pack a lunch. Let’s all get on board.
Relocation woes
Assigned city X to relocate. Asked for city Y. Accepted relo. Now regretting decision due to horror stories of commute and bad work life balance. I don’t think I can sustain city Y. What to do?
Lower Township District Cuts Over 50 Jobs Due to Budget
The Lower Township School District approved a new budget. More than 50 positions will be eliminated. Hundreds of people attended a meeting to oppose these reductions. The Board of Education proceeded with the budget. The superintendent described the cuts as his career's hardest decision.

Biz Management Attempting to Void My Approval!
I went through the ADA accommodation process for 100% remote work, submitted medical documentation, and received written approval. After that approval, I was verbally told by business leadership that I still need to report onsite 3 days per week.
I’m now seeking written clarification from HR/Employee Relations because I’m continuing to follow the written accommodation approval unless formally told otherwise.
Just posting so others know to document everything, keep copies of approvals, and ask for any changes in writing.
How can you trust?
One Senior Director was asked to deliver the bad news. He did it.
The day after, he was laid off.
The question is: How can you trust?
Take control back…
This is a textbook execution of work turnover. You eliminate all of the talent. You leave a handful of your most vulnerable sheeple to say yes without friction. You proceed to turn over the work to the incoming team. Just another American company sending work overseas. But you may be surprised to know that you still hold all of the power. If you and the thousands of employees reading these posts simply stop buying their products and in turn ask the same of your other family members, extended families, friends, people at church, neighbors, etc., you might find yourself feeling less like a victim and more like an agent of change holding these companies accountable.
Laid off six months in
I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong.
This communication approach is completely unacceptable
There is no reason this couldn’t have been handled with a single, clear email sent in the morning to everyone impacted. Something every competent organization manages to do without creating chaos.
Instead, we’re expected to sit around all day refreshing our inboxes for a pointless 15-minute meeting where no real discussion even happens. This is not just inefficient, it’s unnecessary mental strain and a waste of time for every single employee.
Perfectly said, @a9+1kq8f4etn.
Below the posted range
I looked up my role's pay band last week. I'm five thousand below the bottom number. What do I even do with that information?
N.J. AT&T layoffs

This place is taking a real health toll
Two people on my team have developed serious stomach issues this year. Their doctors said it's stress related. Both of them! And yet nobody in management seems to care.
Uniondale and what’s next??
It’s quite unfortunate that there is no transparency in this organization. The Uniondale office has had rumors of its imminent closure for more than a year, yet no clear discussion. It’s the worst kept secret in the company. Hard working long term employees are waiting in angst to see where they will eventually end up-if at all-200 Park?? 240 G?? And when will the higher up’s finally give the little people the answer? There are many considerations for the mostly LI RESIDENTS- the cost of the LIRR, the extra time added to an already long day, child care, elder care, even pet care, but it seems like the “decision makers” don’t care. It used to be a terrific place to work, with talented and dedicated employees, yet some how these wonderful employees are falling by the wayside. I hope they Uniondale office gets some clarity soon, secrecy is certainly not a great way to conduct business.
Quick Q for Mark and Felicia
If people donate to the PAC do you guarantee they don't get RIF'd?
I might have just saved somebody's job
I quit. I got a comparable offer and I just wanted out. My only regret about leaving Fidelity is that I can only quit once. I'd do it every week if I could. Every day. That's how much I've grown to hate this place. I just hope somebody in my team gets to keep their job as a result. I doubt it, but who knows.
Culture Week during 4/30 layoff week. The irony is comical.
The Culture Week "pep rallies" and platitudes of how much this company cares about the culture and it's employees is nauseating, especially during a week when another round of layoffs is happening.
For everyone’s information
I called the Vz pension department a couple of months ago to inquire about who is custodian of the pension if I was to retire and take the annuity pension instead of the lump sum. I was put on a 5 minute hold. The rep told me pension obligation was sold off to Prudential in 2013 and 2023. It had to do with contractual obligations concerning Bell Atlantic and GTE. She further stated that there’s currently no plans to sell off more of it. Doesn’t mean it will never happen but for now going forward, if you retire , your pension is with Vz. If you’re bent on a monthly pension but don’t want to leave it with Vz take the lump and purchase a guaranteed life annuity. I’ve been quoted an almost identical monthly amount for a glf as if I had taken a 100% pop-up for my wife from Vz.
Bumping this from @gk+1kq2atb5s for info.
Layoffs
Anything new for upcoming layoffs? And what areas? Volume is down, people are being pulled to other areas to work and everyone is being micromanaged. What’s going on. It’s stressful enough here.
