Hilarious!!! State Farm made $24 billion last year as a Mutual Company. Crooks!

State Farm just announced it made $24 Billion dollars last year and is going to pay $5 Billion in dividends. Most in history! State Farm is a Mutual Company and should never ever ever never make that much money. They have the best actuaries and investment people and know exactly what they are doing. That means they have been robbing people blind. Remember that the next time they tell you to do more with less or we don't have any money in the budget for staffing. I can only imagine what kind of bonuses the Executives are going get. Just like the rest of Corporate America destroying this nation. Sc-m of the earth trash!

Maybe we’re due for a round of layoffs

There’s definitely plenty of fat around here. The problem is that when cuts come, the fat somehow stays and the actual muscle that does the work gets cut. Sad but true. We’ve got so many useless managers who could be removed, but they’ll continue to stick around and siphon off resources. What a crock.

Devon looks to be starting cost savings with Coterra bonus’

Devon may feel better knowing that Coterra employees got railroaded on bonus pay. Blood is In the water, and expect our efforts in the toilet. Moral is gone, can’t imagine any efforts or above expectations. Let the quiet quitting begin. OKC may keep its strong presence after all. Figured it may let someone other side feel better. I hear Devon payouts were business as usual. Congrats!

Cigna to lay off 2,000 workers worldwide (worldwide?)

Healthcaredice.com posted an article about Cigna’s recent announcement of cuts that affects worldwide employees…yeah right. Meanwhile, they’re actively hiring EMPLOYEES in India.

• Cigna plans to lay off roughly 2,000 employees, just under 3% of the company’s workforce, to cut costs by the end of February.

Speak with your Congressional Representative, I have. They will be looking at this. The number of jobs leaving America is egregious. What economic path will our children have?

Delusional - standing ovation!

SF isn’t going anywhere: she appears committed to steering the company in the wrong direction, alongside her puppet minions; Toohey, Kehoe and Beatty.

We exceeded our targets largely because we reduced the workforce by 15k. The employees who remain are carrying significantly heavier workloads, with more responsibilities on their plates and no meaningful automation or improved processes to support them. New ways of working is just a facade.

We’ve invested millions in McKinsey, including commissions tied to projected savings effectively keeping them afloat only to see consultants and leadership reverse course on recommendations made two to three years ago. Well done Chief Executive officer and Chief financial officer!

We position ourselves as a global company, yet we don’t truly operate like one. Investment in senior roles and promotions is heavily concentrated in the U.S., while long-standing employees in other regions are seeing their roles downgraded and the value of their careers diminished. Let’s applaud our chief of people!

There also seems to be a disconnect even a sense of delusion in celebrating a 73% “recommend as a place to work” score. Many employees are worried about job security, have seen benefits reduced, and are under constant pressure from managers to “just get on with it.” The prevailing sentiment is that FIS does not genuinely care about its people. Well done chief of people!

And yet, we’re setting a goal to increase client NPS by 10 points. We’re still in negative territory the ambition appears to be to frustrate clients slightly less, rather than meaningfully improve their experience. Well done chief of clients!

The next Intel layoffs scheduled for July 15, 2026

Intel's next scheduled major job eliminations for 2026 are set to take effect on July 15, 2026. These cuts specifically impact manufacturing hubs, including four campuses in Oregon, where worker counts for this round jumped nearly fivefold to approximately 2,400 roles.
This 2026 wave is part of a broader initiative to slash an additional $1 billion in operating expenses throughout the year to reach a target global headcount of approximately 75,000 employees.

Next Layoff Details

Can someone describe what the process is for deciding which round you are a part of for the layoffs? I know I was marked because of what I was linked to workwise and sus behavior this year, but what determines what wave you are a part of? I have nothing to do and not sure why I am still here with nothing to do.

Where is the validation?

I was let go in Jan by an a--hole, he's a--hole not only as per me, according to his peers,my peers (his direct reports) his manager all of them. After this also I was let go, my team members were grateful (scared) to be saved. His peers didn't say anything as they wanted to be safe. His manager (my skip manager) only wants to cut cut cut. My question is who's validating that who's being let go and whom are they saving?

Return to office

With the pending cuts and return to the office , I would like to know will the office be providing free coffee and lunch at least one day a week? Am i going to have equipment at the office and at home? I should not have to carry my computer, monitors, cables between home and the office.
I now will have lost time due to travel, have to spend money on travel to and from the office.
I have been told that it is expected we are in the office eight to five and they will be monitoring who is late or leaves early. This place gets worse by the minute

Sad Day AGAIN

All day I heard of people being let go. Tough to hear messages of unity when great people who deserved better are cut and dropping like riffed flies all around you plus the worry of being next. And then you got Harvard and Cheese living another day and sc--wing everyone else out of another dollar. How many extra and super VPs does it take to figure out that sham? What’s the damage from today? Thought this was a sales and ops restructure, but there would be more chatter.

What is cigna’s long term plan? Just keep laying off employees?

I’m really struggling to understand how the DEI leadership is handling these layoffs. Even after all these job cuts, if the stock price still doesn’t reach $400, what’s the backup plan?
It’s disappointing to see a company that was once run so well end up in this situation. It feels like the leadership has put too much trust in a small inner circle led by DP Koka and his Indian friends, and now those same executives are driving these large-scale layoffs. Meanwhile, they’ll likely walk away with generous payouts, but what about the hardworking employees who are losing their jobs? They didn’t deserve this.
It’s frustrating to watch the company go through this, especially when employees are the ones bearing the brunt of these decisions that don’t give any meaningful results in the long run.
It’s hard to believe the CEO isn’t recognizing what’s happening. It makes me wonder whether he’s disengaged or possibly thinking about stepping away, because the current direction doesn’t seem reassuring.
If DP were to become CEO, I’d honestly be concerned about the company’s future. From my perspective, his leadership style hasn’t inspired much confidence, and I worry about what strategic decisions might follow. Overall, it just feels like the company needs stronger, more transparent leadership right now.

CEO Raise while staff cut

What a real win for Jane. Citibank cuts staff for raises to the top executives. No one knows including the entire department. You just vanish after 10 years and they say nothing. While Jane received a $41 million dollar pay day.

I certainly let go of all my 200+ shares in the company. This is not progress or innovation this is pure theft. I see top executives are selling very quickly. To the management shame on you!

You couldn’t even give a hint of notice saying anything. Not even a 60 day notice prior to letting us go. A tap on the shoulder and say hey you’re going to be laid off after a decade of work. When the stock falls to nothing no one will be shocked.

Carnage

Carnage across Tech and Controls teams this week. It’s like a turkey shoot. Sites hit hard New York, Jersey, Tampa and telecommuters. Folk are getting an hour’s notice of the call and their system access is cut at the end. No ifs and no buts just a quick 15 minutes goodbye and good luck.
