Why are layoffs done on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Traditionally, it seems layoff meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is there a reason for this?

cause the in dians are lazy the most and don't know things. they come in on these days to find out when something they did broke the system or failed. Got to take care of the company failure causes.
