The Truist trainwreck continues with RTO

More head scratching incompetence from Truist higher ups as usual. The most insulting thing is the brain dead word salad they come up with to justify this latest folly. "Foster a champion mindset"... how? by sitting in a loud call center and further impacting the client (and teammates) quality of life? We all hear how cacophonous offshore calls are. I guess they're just looking for some chaotic cohension. This will backfire miserably and I'll be in the shadows chuckling.

Sinking ship

At what point do we stop hiring executives from companies that aren’t in better shape than ours? Medical Solutions never aimed to become another AMN, yet AMN is struggling too — so why are we trying to mimic their work model?

When do we stop bringing in high-salary leaders who have made no meaningful improvements in efficiency or culture? Instead of investing in tools and resources that help employees succeed, we continue cutting them while expecting staff to do more with less. It’s disheartening to see cost-saving measures repeatedly lead to disaster after disaster.

How long can this company sustain itself while hiring redundant executives, cutting essential tools, and ignoring the root issues? Nothing is improving. The leadership seems disconnected from the people who actually keep the business running — treating employees like replaceable labor instead of valued contributors.

At least under previous leadership, people wanted to work hard because they felt supported and motivated. Maybe it’s time to bring that spirit back — bring back the kind of leadership that inspired effort and loyalty, not resentment and burnout.

On the Way Down

Since posts are being taken down I have no issue putting them back up.

Bobby H loves licking corporate boots so much that I hope he'll enjoy it just as much when those same boots are the ones kicking him out lmaooo. Tough day being a FiServant tho...

SMB Challenges? This Leadership Team Is Destroying the Org

Things have been going downhill fast since Aimee left — and it’s obvious. The new leadership team, all the way up to the VP level, has completely changed the culture. People are getting singled out, spoken to disrespectfully, and treated like they don’t matter. Morale is the lowest it’s ever been, and good employees are leaving left and right.

You can feel the fear. Nobody wants to speak up because retaliation is real. Those who do are being pushed out or ignored. It’s all about favoritism now — certain people can do no wrong, while others get blamed for everything.

Performance has dropped, the environment is toxic, and the Pulse and TruScore results are going to tell the story. Anyone paying attention can see the writing on the wall — this org is falling apart under the current leadership.

Globally society needs to start unaccepting layoffs.

Society needs to start unaccepting what we roll over and just take.
Companies with record profits should be shamed for layoffs.

There is plenty of cash for a responsible return to shareholders, company reinvestment, and job retention and retraining.

Society needs to start rewarding companies that reinvest in all 3 pillars.

Schwab has Fallen

It's been a long time coming--but a much steeper trajectory toward then end--but this company's technology organization has officially fallen to Indians. If you are not an Indian, your career prospects are bleak. They also keep telling us that the new offshore capability center isn't intended to reduce the FTE onshore footprint, but just know, you are being lied to like you have been lied to about prior layoffs and RTO. It truly saddens me to say this because I've been loyal to this company for a long time, but this place isn't even recognizable anymore.

micromanagement, no innovation, in person cr-p

Micromanagement, no innovation in person 5 days 9 hours, for what? for the stock to drop 50%!
even now they didn't learn anything, we were told not to day trade in the office.
work on innovation , learn from paypal. just silos, too much process for years. too many slackers , just talking non stop 9 to 6 in the office, how will that create Next Gen Products ?

they said all is well but there will be silent RIFs. thats the only way to pumpup the stock.

the help

It’s obvious who coasts through long lunches and so-called meetings (what gets accomplished again?) and who does the work, makes repeated sacrifices and worries if the next mandatory town hall will be their last.

There was a time when this was a decent company to work for

You will find some areas that may be better managed and functional. If you are being brought in at a higher level with a specialized job, for example, if you are an AI expert and are part of the chosen, inner circle it is probably still a good option. But I would read through these posts carefully as there is a lot of factual info that should be given careful consideration. There is no real innovation, profits are being made shifting jobs off shore, via premature implementation of AI and via RIFs; that is not sustainable as a long term strategy. The senior leadership team for the most part is incompetent in my opinion. The CFO has no healthcare knowledge, the CIO has crashed and burned at several companies. Look at public records and you will see that the SLT is not buying Elevance stock, with the exception of one 2.3 mil purchase by Gail to shore up quarterly earnings, they have spent 400k total in stock purchases over the last year and are ditching their shares whenever that can. The chief security officer left, supposedly due to questionable behavior re in house self monitoring. The culture is very much a caste system where the SLT and their minions pass down impossible to meet goals and then also I believe misrepresent up the chain that goals are being met. RIFs are constant and are not communicated; it is like a horror movie where people are disappeared in the night. This results in the people who are left having unreasonable workloads and overall makes for a miserable culture. Many people who were hired fully remote and never went into an office were required to go in 3 days and wouldn’t be shocked if it goes to 5. Expect raises that don’t keep pace with inflation and cr-p bonuses. Advancement opportunities are also limited. If the job has anything to do with provider data, that is a mess. I would never do a call center job at this company. If you go in with your eyes open and limit yourself to 40 hour weeks from the outset and are able to manage your stress and understand from the outset that it is not you it is them; then perhaps it will be workable for you. I would strongly caution anyone who has underlying anxiety or an inability to compartmentalize against this company. You don’t mention percentage wise what the difference in potential salary is, I would perhaps see if you can negotiate with the other organization for a future increase.

For Fiserv to do better we need to clean the work culture first.

  1. Rehaul of management, not just top level, but middle management as well. There are so many dept with a high turn over rate and that's not just a legal liability but also affects our products, ethics and the workers motivation. The best indicator of a problem are not surveys it turn over.

  2. Get better tech. You cannot expect efficiency and better quality in our products when we have terrible tech. Idk which genius thought it was a good idea to buy surface or Microsoft products for a fintech company that handles large data. We don't need Apple products but Microsoft is barely a top

5.FIG/MS should have more collaborations since both deal with clients and may need similar softwares.

  3. Better inner mobility. Some people have amazing talents that are being wasted in certain depts and may do better in another. This goes back to point 1, but I have seen amazing talent leave because their managers blocked them from moving depts.

The best indicator of a company's future is the company's inner work culture.

Never Seen a Company Lower Morale So Fast

Every single person I worked with liked their job couple of years ago. Now none of them do. We are talking close to 100 people, not 5 or 6. This place REALLY messed up morale. Everyone is either too overpaid to leave, trying to find a new job, gone, close to retirement and sticking it out, or completely checked out and doing the minimum.

Any serious ideas on how to turn this around as a grass roots movement?

The company is overrun by detail oriented execution ant worker types with zero strategic vision and abstract thinking ability

That is why it's going to he-l in a hand basket.

If you hear someone say, "im detail orienited" mentally translate that to "I probably focus on superficial details and don't have much in the way of abstract thinking ability and pattern recognition."

Squad lead roles in particular have been run over by these types. Always working. Always looking busy. Just not on the things that matter. And all this would be forgiven if they didn't have a nasty attitude about things.

Angry because things don't go their way, but too d-mb to figure out the problem or understand someone trying to give them advice.

Aero layoffs

False performance improvement plans and blatant ageism. This company is a joke. I go in every day and keep my head down and barely do any work while watching the people who gossip get put on false pips.

We have washed up fat and ugly managers and directors at aero

Do some of the 3M Corporate Research PhD Folks look down those without PhD in Division?

I've been at 3M for a little over a year now. I work in division but I came from a very technical background so I do some of the work that CRSL people do.

However, I do not have a PhD and in some of my interactions, I distinctly feel that some of these guys in CRSL really look down on others?

Is this all in my head or do others also feel the same way?

Know someone who has a Cricut?

I made a shirt that says “Target Laid My Husband Off” and a bandanna that says “Target Laid My Dad Off” for my dog (we don’t have kids).

Maybe you could do the same? It’s despicable that so many people are facing hardship as a result of poor leadership and greed. Take care of yourself and know it’s not you, it’s Target.

Downtown Dallas is beautiful

I don’t get all the hate for Downtown Dallas. Our HQ is right in the heart of the city. Literally on some of the first streets built in Dallas itself. There is so much history in this area. We have had many presidents and British royalty visit this street and stay at The Adolphus. Additionally, there is a lot of night life and activities to do that you just don’t get elsewhere. I understand there are some cons like homelessness and paid parking, but yall have a negative filter and just forget about the positives and hold onto the negatives.

Penny's Page October 27, 2025

In Penny's Page for October 27, 2025 Penny says great teams don't just work side by side, but they grow together so they can build something lasting. Is she serious? Does she think anyone is buying her BS anymore? This is something our first five managing partners could have said and it would be believable because those leaders lived those words. Unfortunately, our sixth managing partner does not live these words. She spouts these words out haphazardly and then lives a different life. How does our Edward Jones teams grow together and build something lasting by eliminating American jobs and sending them to India? How do you bring people out of COVID and back into the office because we need to do business face to face and at the same time send American jobs to a third world country on the other side of the world? Is Penny serious when she says these things? During the sixth managing partner search the candidates underwent psychological testing. If Penny is serious when she spouts out this garbage then she probably needs a more current psychological testing. She is losing it and she is losing it quickly. Penny, come to your senses and just step down. You have done enough damage already. I do not know if this company is salvageable or not. If it is, the next managing partner is going to have their work cut out for them. God save our firm.

I got the severance!

State Farm is really not even a legitimate business anymore. Scam! Insurance companies from P&C carriers to Health Care are run with no consequences because they have so much money and too much influence. I'm in U/W and I'm done in November as I was lucky enough to get the severance. My heart goes out to those that didn't. I can absolutely guarantee you that I try to destroy SFs reputation and brand at every single opportunity. It's bad in U/W but what they have been doing to claims folks over the last decade is down right criminal and it is getting worse. JF keeps talking about the past and rolling out Ed for nostalgia but he was right there with MT destroying State Farm. He started the fire and burned down the house now he is blaming everyone and trying to act like he didn't help do it. This place is a soul ki-ling machine and its "woke" completely incompetent workforce will be the end of SF. If you can, get out, cancel your policies and spread the word to anyone you can. They try to bring down and destroy good people working hard so don't feel bad about sending back the same energy they put out! Sc--w that place!

Could this have been done better?

I have been praying for myself and everyone else. Even if I survive this layoff I know others will not and it saddens me. What a horrible way to do a layoff, we find out Thursday and have to go all the way to Tuesday to find out, it has been a miserable few days for all of us. I would say it is CRUEL in fact. I love Target and I wish they had handled this with more care.

ATT is a Vast Wasteland

It will be run out of Dallas and India with very little talent. When things go wrong it will get fixed when it gets fixed. The just figure it out and do 5X more with 2X less will catch up with SBC Nougat Heads who haven't had a visionary thought in decades. The amount of fraud and theft that will originate in India will be immense. Dallas will simply be a giant call center like environment run by metrics and PowerPoints.

They want us to quit

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The goal is to get many of us to the point where we can’t take the stress anymore and walk out on our own. That saves them money on severance. That’s why they’ll drag this out into several rounds. That’s why the culture keeps getting more toxic by the day. They want us gone, and they don’t want to pay us to leave.

Would you go back to Target (redo of 2015)

In 2015, I heard most team members laid off like 60-80% had to be hired back. Are the odds high that we will be asked to come back again like before 3-6 months from now in 2026?

Would you guys come back to target if part of layoffs this year or it wouldn’t be as chill as before since CULTURE su-ks now compared to back in day???

Fall National/Target Together

As if this approach to layoffs wasn’t bad enough, anyone else reflecting on all the attempted “feel good” moments at this year’s fall National and feeling even more betrayed? BC getting emotional about stepping down, humanizing Fiddelke interviewing his children and pushing the family man that he is, the constant preaching of bringing joy to all families, holiday magic, smiles, excitement, team target etc etc etc meanwhile, some of them knew this was around the corner?! I realize working in corporate America you have to have to be cold and manipulative to some extent because at the end of the day it truly is about the bottom line, but I can’t help but question how some of the leaders of this company could stand in front of us all with such happy & cheery faces knowing they were going to kick off the holiday season with mass layoffs.

Don’t need people commenting about their salaries and bonuses as to how they were able to do that. Obviously. Sometimes I just like to think they’re more human than they clearly are.
