MST home dispatch tech use and abuse company assets. They drive 100K-200K bucket trucks to their home and back to their home garage everyday. Big V8 6.3 L engines use a lot of gas and insurance on top. Also, with MST high pay and only have .5 job per tech a day per tech how is that saving company money and liability.
There are rules to follow when joining home dispatch program. Following the rules helps save gas and time and wear and tear on a vehicle used to drive to work and to home. But MSTs abuse this program from driving to the garage every day and dispatching at the garage. Making a stop at the grocery store to grocery shop in the company vehicle before driving home. Not closing your last job at the job site and instead, drive home and being still dispatched on your work ticket and then closing the job when you arrive home. I follow the rules, and I do not want the home dispatch program to go away because of MSTs taking advantage of the abuse. Also, MST managers are favoring many MSTs and letting the home dispatch MSTs do what ever they want. STOP ABUSING THE HOME DISPATCH PROGRAM YOU MSTs. You know who you are...

Such a cry baby! Do you own F’n work and keep your head down and mouth shut! If there’s someone truly abusing it they will be found by the GPS gods. For the rest of us that cover entire states it’s detrimental to keep our home garaging. If the company takes our home dispatch away, no jobs will ever get done cause I will NOT leave the parking location until the start of my shift and I will be back there by the end of my shift to punch out on time. Try getting any jobs completed with that scenario!
And to the OP - stop crying wolf, end the countless copy/paste of same sh1t and worry about yourself!
So go work for a contractor the pay is better the truck gets replaced every year the area I cover is huge per dime is 75 a day just for food and I do maybe 2 jobs a week we still charge att for everything
The OP makes some valid points especially if the egregious misuse is still happening this far into the program. Some of this should have been addressed years ago. However have seen many techs use it properly with benefits to both sides. If the misuse is rampant then it needs to be addressed. However this company tends to throw out the baby with the bath water. The process should be a privilege rather than a right. With the technology these days a lot of the abuses that used to occur in the past can and should be addressed.
Do your job as prescribed and stop cutting corners for your own selfish personal benefit. The company cannot afford this. Leave the truck at the garage and actually work. It’s not that hard.
Loser ho-o
You are the Dwight Schrute of technicians. A total management wannabe. Of all the things a fellow technician could do to make your job harder, you care that a fellow technician doesn’t close from the prem lol!? If the MST bosses aren’t concerned about the alleged abuse, the home dispatch is unlikely to go away. You should find something more meaningful to worry about.
You can set your watch to this clown.
Home basing has been misused by some since its inception. With all of the data being collected I would assume that will cause more rapid changes to the program. However as a former supervisor in a rural area I know it was easier to contact and get those guys to go out almost any time they were needed. I could give a cr-p if they stopped to pick up a loaf of bread on the way home.
Go complain to your mommy.
Leave the company truck at the garage where it belongs and you stay there with it and actually work…
No more lunch at home and nap time on the company’s dime. When your day is done you take your personal vehicle home…
Been done for over a century so there’s no excuse. Just leave the truck at the garage and actually work.
Leave the company truck at the garage and take your personal vehicle to and from your home for your afternoon lunch and naps. The company simply cannot afford to pay for this mis use any longer.
Pennies and peanuts considering how much this company mis manages! Directv time warner t mobile just a few
Hold them accountable. Sounds like they need a dose of RTO treatmen
About damn time they need to be held accountable just like the rest of us.
I guess you thought we were all anxiously waiting for you to repost this for the 50th time… your ASSumption was wrong!
And you are still whining in Minnesota
Again, if you're going to paste the same drivel on a schedule, they have 6.7L engines!
No one cares...
This has been looked at many times and has been determined to be in the companies favor. Instead of being in the work garage at starting time they have to be on the first job location at shift start I believe.
