Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

You know it's bad when veterans abandon ship

I'm watching coworkers who are just a few years from retirement willingly walk away. That never used to happen. If people that close to the finish line are giving up their secure exit, you know there's something seriously wrong with this place.

A lot of people are citing Accenture as a big reason. They mess up every transaction they handle, which is requiring a lot of additional work from client facing reps who then get yelled at. It’s burning people out fast.

@c1

As in TIAA is a dying company/gonna go bankrupt?

Or just not a good place to work for anymore?

Yeah. So many seasoned employees are voluntarily leaving. Also sadly so many are being forced to in Denver.

Know someone who was here 20 years and left who will be missed another a few years from retirement too.

It used to be directors senior and higher like EVPs leaving signaled change was coming.... but when the long tenured hard working folks leave voluntarily or those leaving without retiring ... you know the ship is well past sinking.

Good luck to whomever is left.
