Dead Silence In My Team!

Anyone else having the same feeling? I have not heard anything from my Manager or Director…No invites or schedules on their calendar…all team members are just on the edge of their seats even if a new email pops up. But no word if we are all safe or any impact on our team!

Just getting too anxious at this point! I hope at least they let us know if we are safe or not!

VEC MDU Fios/5G impacted

**I just got the confirmation that VEC MDU will be reduced from 7 client executives “Fios/5G” to 4 client executives per Team…..YOU HEARD IT FIRST** ask your AD/Sr.Directors to be transparent this time, apparently its to help with the transition of the frontier merger happening in less than 4 months., hopefully they wont be clueless and dont know cause it seems the employees know more than the leaders these days.

TAAP Town Hall on December 10

Please join us for the next TAAP Town Hall on December 10.

We'll share strategic business updates and news to keep you informed as we prepare for what's ahead in 2026.

We'll also reserve time for Q&A to address any questions you may have. If you have a question for the TAAP leadership team, submit it here by December 9.

We look forward to seeing you there.

VCG Update

I work in one of the VCG departments. I can’t share specifics because we were told to keep this private. But SDs and ADs were pulled into a meeting with their VP and notified their teams are all safe. Similar meetings are happening all across the org this morning so you should likely be getting an update soon. If you don’t hear anything that might be a bad sign…

Network Operations

All the network techs in our state had MNC meetings and calls assigned to us for 8am-9:30am tomorrow 11/20. Asked our supervisor about it and could hear the sheer panic in his voice when he said he had no idea about it and that he hasn’t been invited to a call of any sorts for those times. There’s also no bridge # or meeting link sent to us yet. Just blocked off MNC from 8-9:30.

Not sure if that means we are safe or if he’s getting the boot.. I hope not. He’s one of the few good supervisors still around.

I can’t imagine they’d let all of us go. There wouldn’t be anyone to maintain the network.

Did any other areas get the same meetings assigned to them?

All hands call mentioned layoffs

At first they mentioned how we outperformed booking revenue and we hit all these expectations and more. Then they briefly mentioned layoffs and the just said they can’t say anything about it and just to put your head down and wait for the storm to end. Looks like it’s happening even when we are over performing in some segments.

The Culture You Announce vs. the One We Survive: A Heartfelt Exploration of Cognitive Dissonance

It began, as these things often do, with a badge scan and a fruit tray.

Robin Vince and the Executive Committee descended upon Lake Mary two weeks ago, bringing with them a whirlwind of strategic platitudes, pre-cleared talking points, and a palpable sense of curated warmth. The site was abuzz. Floors were vacuumed. Acronyms were polished. Someone even replaced the “Out of Order” sign on the espresso machine with “Temporarily Visioning a Better Brew.”

The town hall began promptly, or as it’s known in EC time, at “Empathy O’Clock.” Robin opened with a heartfelt nod to “the incredible work happening here,” followed by a 17-minute meditation on resilience, stakeholder trust, and the importance of “showing up”—which, ironically, most of the EC had not done since the last earnings call.

The Q&A was pre-screened, of course. No questions about layoffs, offshoring, or why the new “Agile Transformation Hub” is just a SharePoint folder with a GIF of a hamster on a wheel. Instead, we heard about “listening deeply,” “leading with heart,” and “unlocking the power of our people”—phrases that sound profound until you realize they mean absolutely nothing and cost nothing to say.

Enter James Legrand, our site lead and resident Zen Buddha philosopher-king of LinkedIn. Within hours, his post appeared:

"Leadership is not a destination. It is a sunrise reflected in the eyes of those we serve. Grateful for Robin's visit and the reminder that empathy is a verb."

What does that mean? No one knows. But it got 247 likes, mostly from new recent new hire analysts and people who also post about “intentional gratitude” and “the ROI of kindness.”

One associate commented, “So true, James. I felt the empathy in the hallway.” Another chapped lips sympathizer fabio-sly replied, “I didn’t see Robin but I felt him.” We’re still unsure if that was metaphorical or HR-worthy.

Meanwhile, back at our desks, nothing changed. The org chart still resembles a game of Jenga played during an earthquake. The “transformation” roadmap is now in version 6.2b. And the only thing cascading is the mandatory empathy training module, which now includes a quiz on “active listening postures.”

But hey—Robin gestured (while admiring his new Rolex). The EC smiled. James posted. And somewhere, a hamster keeps running and more jobs are lost in this heartless and unemotional chaos.

Cloudflare outage

If everything crashes again on Thursday, I swear my heart is going to give out from the stress, because with the total lack of real communication from leadership, this place is the only spot where I can even try to figure out what’s going on. I’m begging the universe not to let this fall apart on D-day, because losing this one source of updates would push the anxiety into a whole different level.

Inconsistent Knowledge of Layoffs

I still can’t figure out why some Sr Directors are saying “I know nothing at all.. I’m waiting to hear too” and then other Sr Directors (and even ADs) know the names of those affected on their team. Why is the comms plan and information leaking so different this time?

What's with the silence?

Can somebody please explain why they're being so cagy with information? What would it hurt to provide us with some clarity? What do they gain by keeping us in the dark, other than reducing productivity and further eroding morale that has already hit rock bottom?

Let’s put the trolls to rest SD & AD’s reply please

So the day has come and gone. And I’m sure the goal post will also be moved. Everyone’s wear Monday morning. The senior directors will know. Then commenters I know it’s in the afternoon or close of business. Well, the time is coming to pass. Tomorrow apparently we were supposed to see mass resignation emails. I’m sure that goal plus will also be moved. Can any senior director confirm if they’ve gotten notice?

Still thinking about EH's index card at the Nike Team Meeting

I want to say that I like and trust EH and think he's what we need. All of that. But comms handing him a card that says the chat was being mean was strange in a way that I think illustrates something. I remember seeing a lot of shock and surprise in the chat, but no one was expressing anything inappropriate I don't think. So them giving him a card and getting him to cry is just odd. What did that card tell him we were even saying?

I think it speaks to a sense across Nike that we can't process things or have human responses to big news. If Comms didn't want shocked emojis in the chat, they should have just sent an email. I'm not saying we're in the "we don't tolerate dissent" zone (yet), but that is the vibe Comms seems to be sending, intentionally or not. If I could tell EH/Comms one thing it would be: you can be shocked at somewhat shocking news and still believe in our mission. We've still got so much of our comeback journey left. It's going to be important for leadership not to confuse being a person with not caring about this place.

It’s such a fiasco it’s comical

We had to find out from Reuters and the Wall Street Journal that 15,000 of us are losing our jobs this week. But from our own leadership team, we are getting radio silence. Instead, we have to come to this board in order to get any information. It’s tragic. Where is the communication?

This weeks schedule

Monday Morning- 5V staff calls with 6V calls will happen, news will be shared. No delegates can join.

Monday Morning - your weekly staff calls (6V ADs with 6V sr managers and 7 band and lower), these will be cancelled.

The slack or just calendar invite being cancelled will be your only communication until Thursday with your manager.

Monday- Wednesday … will be a ghost town between people impacted and their leaders. You won’t hear from leadership until you’re notified.

Thursday- people notified and leaders get back to normal.

March 2026 rinse and repeat

The suspense is ki-ling me. Just let us know already

There is more information about this mass layoff on every news website. Reporting to work as well as all internal websites is like crickets, no information - like nothing is happening. Next time please let the employees know they are getting let go before it hits the news. This suspense is ki-ling me - Do I stay or do I go, just tell us already who is being affected.

This is what got us here in my opinion

Leadership in my organization is useless, indecisive and incapable of making sound decisions. When I asked to provide direction, they complicate things by giving you more work, even when you provide them with everything they asked for, they still don’t do anything. You will come out of the discussions/meetings more confused. This leads to ambiguity and tension between team members who end up confused not knowing what to do, not to mention the time and resources wasted on the endless calls where sometimes all it takes is a strong leader to say “yes” or “no”. They do not care as long as you don’t bother or challenge them. The moment you do, you will be rewarded with more work!

Let’s talk about it Charlie

Has anyone received formal written communication of any of the following changes:
1) requirement that we are in the office for 8 hours on in-office days or
2) move to 4 days in-office for some LOBs (ie. Corp Risk)?
It blows my mind that they updated the in-office guidance in October and did not send a single written notice to employees before they told managers to enforce it. In Risk, we’ve been informed verbally that we’re moving to 4 days in-office (even though CS just said nothing is changing) but have not gotten anything in writing confirming this is happening or when it will become effective. We should be getting notified of changes like this at least 60 days beforehand.

Business As Usual? VBG gone or not?

I know these layoffs are coming, Monday is D-day from everything I here lists should basically be out and everyone will know their fate to an extent, but why is VBG still getting normal emails and promos saying they are going through January 5th? And meetings are getting schedule for Late next week for blitz calls getting ready for Black Friday. Getting Black Friday appointments and everything is still running like usual?

Are they just pretending like they don’t know anything or are they just in the dark as everyone else? Or do they just not care and are making VBG workers think we are safe?

I apologize if this is a stupid question just wanting input from some of the fellow V-Team
